WOO HOO! Just booked BC GV for July! Stormalong Bay, here we come! YEA!

How exciting!!! The Beach Club is a great place to be in July!

If you would like to be added to the page 1 Guest List, please post the dates you will be staying.

Hi everybody again! :wave2:

Paul, Pastina, Penne and Ramen Noodle

*Guffaws uncontrollably!*

Hi!! :welcome: How nice of your friend to direct you to our thread!!!

And even tho I'm a nice person & a fun girl, I just want to add this: If you end up with a Tag before I do, I'll be really upset with the Tag Fairy!!! ;) :rotfl:

OK, that would be hilarious if the Noodle family gets a tag!!!

Dee - If the noodles still need a secretary let me know. I love organizing. I would just need to send you updates correct? (which isn't too difficult) :3dglasses

Marlton Mom- Do you want to keep track (you have first dibs) or would it be helpful for you to have someone else do it?

You seem awfully busy playing with pool toys and dreaming up ways to keep us amused!

Someone needs a vacation SOON! :)

*************************************************

I think all I need is a listing of dates and the screen name of the person reserving the noodles. For example:

June 10-20, Marlton Mom
June 20-25, DannysMom

You could either PM the info to me, or post periodically and I will update page 1.

It looks like the whole noodle swap thing started on page 68 of this thread, so you would need to go back and sweep any swap reservations since that page.

Going to update page 1 in anticipation of the Swap Calendar

The families involved in each handoff would be responsible for contacting each other to arrange a time/place for the swap, or if the noodles need to go to Bell Services for a short vacation, I think the family that hands them over will have to give the name of the family who is going to claim them. OR would it work if we used a fake name (like the Ramen family) for each pickup?

I'll compile the list asap if you'd like. I've been busy taking the dog to the Vet for a $450 dollar teeth cleaning. For $450 bucks I better see pearly whites shining back at me when I pick him up!!

I just got off the phone with the Vet who was trying very sincerely to GET ME TO BRUSH HIS TEETH!!!

Um.... have you ever tried to brush a dog's teeth before? It's right up there with heiny maintenance in the "popular with dogs" list.

Then the Vet started talking about chicken flavored toothpaste for dogs and Evan and I just about lost it on the phone we were laughing so hard!

Nope.

Not gonna be buying that chicken flavored toothpaste...... Not even for the husband!

:lmao:

Seriously, MM has me CRYING over here today!!!!

(We do have the chicken flavored toothpaste for our beagle, who will tolerate having her teeth brushed, but Mommy just needs to remember to do it :rolleyes1)

GEt that toothpaste! My dog sits at attention when the tube comes out and just chews away on her toothbrush and lets us brush just fine. When we are done as a reward she gets another lick of her liver toothpaste...

Marlton Mom,

I agree with you the brushing teeth thing is hard. My 3 dachshunds have no problem with plain tooth paste or the hieny stuff, but are smooshy face (pug) won't open her jaw for anything. That is really a bummer when I got to give her children's benadryll from time to time for allergies, I end up wearing it!

Again thanks for the introduction to the noodle family! I can't wait for our quality time with them and the fun we will all have togeather. Joeseph is so excited that he will have someone his age to play games with and Charlie can't wait to have someone to hang with.

We are getting ready for our Myrtle Beach trip. We are first going to Charleston, SC or near there to visit family next tuesday and then on the 5th through the 10th we will be at Myrtle Beach. My DH has already said we must get some relatives of Paul noodle and pretend we are already at the SAB as he floats in the pools at Harbor Lights.

Is it bad that your having fantacies looking forward to an upcoming trip to BC while on another vacation?:confused:

Hi, I have now read all pages and figure it is okay to post after the pool noodles, I feel right at home.

I will be going to YT for my first time August 23-25 and then 25-30 at POFQ. Might be crazy coming home the night be for school starts.

I am going down with DH, DD and my mom her first trip to a Disney resort she thinks we are staying at the All Star Movies we aren't telling her until we pull up at what she will think is the wrong hotel :cool1::cool1:

I was originally booked over the AKL, but switched to the BC for a week in July...because...hey not only can the draw of SAB not be denied, neither can the three minute walk to EPCOT! So excited!

When I started reading your post I was like: "Whaaaa?!?! What the heck kinda dog teeth cleaning costs $450?!?! How big is this dog?!?!" We just had our 10 lb. toy schnauzer's teeth cleaned for the 1st time in January and it only cost us like $150 including hiney maintenance and nail trimming while she was in lala-land. We do brush her teeth or make that attempt every week when we give her a bath. Brushing the bottom teeth in the back is near impossible because along with the body wiggling and gnawing jaws her tongue shoves the toothbrush out of her mouth. It's like running a three-legged-race while hanging onto a greased pig and trying to thumb-wrestle all at the same time. Generally a bunch of hollering and swearing ensues. The rest of the teeth I can get okay without her gnawing my fingers up too much from trying to hold her jaw open. Fun stuff. Think of doggy toothbrushing as an adventure! Sometimes I like to think of it as the "Main Event". :lmao:

:goodvibes Just booked our first trip to BC Aug 28th to Sept 2 !! so excited for DD it is her sweet 16 trip ...

One question .. I know you can walk to Epcot and that there is a boat or you can walk to HS but does the boat also go to DTD or do you need to get on a bus ? Just wondering :confused3.... Thanks !

There are no boats to Downtown Disney. The only way going there using WDW transportation is to get on their bus which goes there.

Here it is, before Dee has a hernia :rotfl2:

What do you all think and did I miss anybody?

NOODLE SWAP
*NOTE WE NEED A PLAN FOR BELL SERVICES, WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

Please get a picture of your family or yourself with the noodles when you have them. Even better would be a picture of you AND the person you are handing them off to if possible. This is a great way to meet your fellow Yacht & Beach Club FAQ thread friends over something extremely silly!

If something happens to the noodle, it's OK... really! Just let us know and then some one down the line can try to replace it if they get the chance. This is all for fun so don't freak out if the noodles get lost or damaged. Have a great vacation and take care of the noodles with out fretting about it!

Pictures of the noodles engaging in your vacation activities are WELCOME! Say you are having a drink by the pool... take a picture of the noodle (with yourself as well if you want) 'posing' with the drink and post it on the Yacht & Beach Club FAQ Thread. Be creative! The sillier the better and an imaginative caption will help to set the scene and tell the 'story'.

The families involved in each hand-off would be responsible for contacting each other to arrange a time/place for the swap, or if the noodles need to go to Bell Services for a short vacation, I think the family that hands them over will have to give the name of the family who is going to claim them. OR would it work if we used a fake name (like the Ramen family) for each pickup?

Notes* A 1) denotes the first person of the time period to post and ask for the noodle. A 2) means the second person to post for that time period and so forth....

Steve trek checks out on 6/6 and gives his noodles to.... ?

Marlton Mom,
Is it bad that your having fantacies looking forward to an upcoming trip to BC while on another vacation?:confused:

NO!! In fact I came to the realization that if I didn't have an idea of what vacation we were going on after this June one I was going to go insane.....

So we had a family meeting and decided that in a year and a half plus we'll be taking a Disney cruise to the western Caribbean. We want the one that goes to Key West, The Cayman islands, Cozumel and Cast-a-way Cay.

I have a question for you Cruisers... Is Disney cruise lines still going to stop in Key West in winter 2012? It seems to have disappeared from the schedule.

Hopefully we'll depart from Orlando and then hit 'Hairy' Potter for 2 or 3 days before heading home.

:rotfl2:

My dog is a 70 pound Smooth Collie named Dawson. He just turned 7 and he has the personality of a Fraternity Brother. He hates to snuggle, sleeps all day and only comes alive for squirrels and my 12 year old son when he comes home from school. Essentially this dog's day starts at 4pm and ends shortly afterward with a nap!

Here is a picture of this dog in "action".

The thought of brushing his teeth would be just as ridiculous to me as it would be to him!

I have had the "Talk" with the Vet many times about brushing his teeth. At this point I don't even try to fake it and make like I'm going to buy the stuff and actually try it. I just look the Vet straight in the eye and say "Not Happening!!!!" I have enough experience with dogs to know which ones you can do that to and which ones are so NOT going to put up with that! :sad2:

Now if we are talking teach the dog the "Cookie on the nose trick" I'm your Mom. He does that great! In fact I've taught Dawson to say "I love You" but, to tell the truth, I think he's got a Scottish accent and he slurs his vowels. It's either that or he keeps trying to say "I love you Bro". In any case he sounds EXACTLY like Chewbacca.

$400 bucks to clean his teeth was the low estimate I got. One Vet wanted over $550 so the next time he needs his choppers cleaned I may be parking his buns on a Greyhound bus and sending him your way!

Last surgery done...For now anyways & I'm heading home tomorrow:banana::banana::banana: They found cancer right by the skin so the were nervous about the skin dying but it is perfect. They said they could not be happier. Still waiting on Pathology results for the tumor. Running behind I guess. I will have my follow up appt in about 5-10 days or so. Hopefully I can have the drains taken out by then. I will get 1 of the 4 removed tomorrow before heading home.
I'm sooooo happy:dance3::cheer2:
Still in some pain, waiting for pain meds now. So I can go to sleep. Also need to go to bathroom. I feel like a new woman, new tummy & new breast :rotfl:

You totally crack me up! Not that you've never heard THAT! LOL! Fraternity Brother. American Sofa Hound. I gotcha!!! :thumbsup2 Riley is the first dog I've ever had. She'll be 4 in October. I was just as clueless with her puppy-dom as I was with the whole newborn-baby-thing when I brought one of those home for the first time. The vet said "brush her teeth" so I did. If the vet had said "stand on your head and make monkey noises to see if you can get her to smile so you can brush her teeth" I prob'ly would've done that, too. I think he missed a heckuva opportunity. :3dglasses

Mostly I think I still do the tooth-brushing battle because I'm afraid she'll need her teeth cleaned more often. So far we've only done it once. I'd *like* to think we can stretch it at least 2 years between cleanings. Hey. Need that cash to pay for her luxury boarding accomodations at WDW! princess:
