If it is shipped any other way except United States Postal Service, it goes to the Shipping Department. They charge you a fee. The fee is based on weight.

I'm shipping pool noodles down so they might actually owe me money ;) Those noodles are so light I have to make the dog lay on them to keep them from floating up and hitting the ceiling!

That Marlton Mom..... always looking for the angle!

Unfortunately, I'm mighty busy still but will try to keep up here. If you don't mind slowing it down, I'd appreciate it. :rolleyes1

Ok DawnMaree....Volunteer firefighter and kids age 11, 9 and 6. What could you possibly do that keeps you from sitting at a computer :confused3 :)!

Our family will be staying for the 1st time a BCV August 16-20, and then moving to AKV Kidani. We splurged and used all our 2011 pts and all of our 2012 pts to make this happen. Our kids have been dying to go to SAB!

Adding you to our trip list. Welcome dairyqueenmom!

Now, I'm feeling like, "Hold me back, people, because I'm about to go to the happiest place on Earth and I'm going relish EVERY SINGLE SECOND of it!!!"

Cheers and love to all!!!!
Alice'

Well Alice........ I'm picturing you standing there with a son in a cast, car on fire, fire dept on your lawn, husband trying to save your house and you've got this silly grin on your face that no one but the type people on this board can understand...."I'm going to Disney World":banana::banana:

Just a quick check in - surgery is over and she is holding her own.

Thanks

Thanks for the update Robyn. Maybe not the 'best' news but still sounds like a great impovement. Sending prayers for you and your Mom.

They weren't able to make the "new knee" as good as the knee replacement she had six years ago, but they are hopeful that barring any new infection she will at least be able to walk again. Stairs will present a major problem so we think we are going to have to have one of those stair lift chairs installed in her home.

The plan, if all goes well, is for her to stay in the hospital a week, then two or three weeks in rehab and then she'll come to my house for two weeks and then my sisters house for two weeks.

Thanks

Sending best wishes to your mom for a speedy recovery

Robyn- glad your mom made it through surgery...continued prayers she will be home soon!

Alice- how scary!! Glad you are all OK and your son is doing well!

Welcome dairyqueenmom!:goodvibes

Yes, yes, yes! That's exactly the how the picture looked---add in my little ones dancing across the front lawn in their pj's!!!

Robyn, great news re. your Mom. I will pray for complete healing w/o any complications from infection so that she can get home soon. I am one of those people that think your body heals even better once you're home surrounded by love.

Marlton Mom---I am surprisingly NOT anxiety ridden right now. :confused3 My husband warned me if I told y'all about this latest fiasco, someone would find a way to block my trip to our beloved BC less I bring bad luck there!!! As it is, the Mississippi river is scheduled to crest on May 23 (while we're at Disney) at levels higher that the Great Flood of 1927. We think our home will be fine, but no-one knows for sure! And I'll be at Disney!!! :scared1: Ever feel like God is gently plucking you in the head saying, "Get your life right?" Well, I have most definitely heard him and have done what I can to "get my life right", so I think "fear is not of the Lord." I will trust and I will wear my silly grin because, "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD, WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD! STAYING AT THE BEACH CLUB, BABY!!!!!!":woohoo::yay::banana::woohoo::yay:

And if, in about 10 days, you see an angry thread here on the DIS about France running out of Grey Goose Slushies bc some crazy lady from Louisiana was propped against the stand downing them and saying "God Bless Your Heart" to the angry people who were turned away----well, yes, that will have been ME!!!!!! :lmao:

Well, I'm not the volunteer FF; my husband is. But I am covering for someone at work who has been away due to carpal tunnel surgery. While I'm bringing in more money, my fun time here has been diminished :guilty: Glad to see that there weren't a lot of posts since last night! Now coming back later is another story... :rotfl2:

:cool1: SAB is on the top of the list for my kids. In fact, our first "real" day will be spent at the pool and then later heading to Epcot. It'll give us a bit to relax from our long drive and then multiple days full of go go GO!!

Okay, just keep yer mitts of the Gran Marnier slushies!! :lovestruc

...my rocker? Perhaps. But off to the World and the Beach Club for sure. Luggage is ready to go and the blue SuperShuttle van should be here in about 50 minutes.

Like children (and adults) in the ad, I was too excited not to get up way earlier than I had set the alarm. So now I have what ought to be peaceful reflection time prior to the arrival of my ride. And fret over what essential I may have forgotten to toss in a bag. I just repeat to myself that whatever it is, I can probably still get it while I am there. Like I haven't done this lo these many times before and have somehow survived each time.

Actually I am already beginning to feel the real world vanishing away as the magic gradually envelopes me -- Ha ha! Yo ho!

I hope to be tweeting as I go (patheticsmee, of course) and since I never got around to learning how to post pictures here, blogging as well.

Thanks again to all the kind, informative posters here, and to all those facing problems, my very best wishes.

A magical week to everybody!

Well not the best night.

It seems around 4 am my Mom was having shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat. They moved her up to CCU. She refused to let them call any of us!

Luckily my two sisters work at the hospital and when they went in this morning they called me. No matter how old your mom is and no matter how badly she feels they still are worrying about you!

I'll be leaving for the hospital soon - keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

For all who getting ready for your vacations - HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME and have a sunken treasure or grand mariner (sp?) slushie for me!

I'll make sure Bob and I don't make a trip to Epcot while you are in town since he can't walk by France without stopping for one!!

Had my first surgery(lymph node extraction & blood vessel cut)! Had to wait a little because the person before me had a longer surgery than expected. So I went in at 5:15 instead of 1:30. We got home at 10pm. It was a very long day, we had to be there at 10am for my radioactive agent to be injected by the tumor. So, 1st surgery down...2nd one on the 19th(mastectomy & tram flap). I'll be in the hospital for about 5days maybe 4.

In a little pain but wanted to get an update in & get my Disney fix.

Hope everyone is doing well...

Good job, keep one foot in front of the other and before you know it this will all be in the past!

I was looking for dis board info on the Swan/Dolphin and I have to say that our thread rocks!! Dee (and all the other contributors but MOSTLY DEE!!) really did a great job with all the info on the BC/YC.

Another family has decided to join us but at this relative last minute they could only do the Swan.

Budget limits played a role too, as they got a good rate there through family connections. I was crushed to have to tell my friend that they would not be able to join us at SAB if they were not guests of the hotel.

In the summer, this is the gang of kids in the pool that I dominate with my Marco Polo skills. The thought of us being split up is hard to take but I'm thinking the Quiet pool at BC and the pool at the Swan will have to serve as a location for the Marco Polo beat down I intend on dishing out. ;)

Oh well... I'm a little bummed at this separation but what are ya gonna do. :confused3

~Marlton Mom, who keeps wanting to write Swam instead of Swan with all the water visuals of that hotel that she has in her nutty little head!

:hug::hug:Hugs your way, doccoc2002. I'm cheering and praying for you over here in Louisiana and on the 19th when I'm driving that loooooong trip across I-10 to Florida as I head to Disney, know that this DISer will be praying for YOU even more!:love::love: I sure hope that comes across the way I mean it bc I mean it in the very nicest, warmest way!!!
