2011 Planning - join me!

Planning to talk to DH tonight - basically I'm telling him the kids and I are going - does he want to join us, LOL!

Feel bad posting here when my 2010 trip isn't over yet:eek: but I'll be heading back in February 2011 again:)

JUst came back from a great trip. Cold but wonderful. No bounceback offer in the room...my guess is there are no 2011 rates yet, so hoping for a pin instead. Probably aiming for Jan again. Very manageable crowds....walked on most rides with little wait.

Happy planning!

I just booked our family's first trip to Disney, leaving on December 30, 2010 through January 6, 2011...I CANNOT WAIT!!! We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and I am TERRIBLY excited! My husband and I and our two children (ages 13 and 7) are going...WOO HOO...Look our Disney, here we come!:yay: Any advice anyone has for a first timer is greatly appreciated!:goodvibes

Congrats on booking your first trip:yay:

First off, don't feel rushed to do EVERYTHING. It's ok if you don't ride every ride and if you don't go to every park. The best thing is to write a list of everything you really want to do and go from there. Also, remember how much your resort offers for you to do!

We are going back in January 2011. Both kids will be graduating-one from university and the other from an animation certificate program.

DH & I figured this may be the last time they will be able to go with us, seeing as they'll have to get real jobs, and become productive members of society. :surfweb::coffee:

My son's birthday is 1 Jan, so we'll be celebrating that too:bday:

Now to just count down the days...:hourglass

Looks like you are under a year to go!!!!

Just home from a MAGICAL but COLD trip (Jan 3-13) and ready to plan for another trip next January!! Can't wait!! There was a bounceback offer in our room but not for next year... Come on free dining! ;)

I think I am finally getting over my "post trip depression" from our Sept. 2009 trip and ready to think about our 2011 trip. Sitting here reading the DIS and listen to park music . . great day!

Planning on next February (president's week again). Right now it looks like we have it down to 2 resorts, the Treehouse Villas or the wilderness lodge. We love how the Treehouses look and how big they are for the same amount of points we used for a 2 bedroom at SSR. But, they are very distant from things. Wilderness Lodge is our home resort and we've never stayed there so we think it might be time to try:confused3

We have everything planned for our August 2011 trip and have decided to pay for this trip by trying not to take money out of our pockets. We have a change bucket and are saving all our change for our deposit, we are $63 away and only started keeping our change in August of 2009. I also get $50 bonus every month at work, plus an extra $50 for each quarter. All that money is going into the fund and then I am asking for Southwest Giftcards for Christmas to buy our plane tickets. If all goes the way I plan we will have about $400 left to pay for a 6 night vacation, but we will also have more change after our deposit is paid, so we could be going for FREE :cool1::cool1::cool1:

You sound like us. We are always trying to think of ways to save for the trip. Kind of makes it fun. We do the change jar also, we have the Disney Visa so we get lots of reward dollars and then any gift money we get I go and get Disney dollars with it (will have to change to gift cards now though since the Disney stores are not longer carrying them).

Add us to the list!

This one will be special since we may be going instead of a party of two to a party of 3. :yay: Here's hoping...

Anna

OK, we now have a list on the first post of this thread of when everyone is going. Post your dates if I missed you and I will try and keep it updated.
