**2011** Epcot Food & Wine Festival HAS ENDED. 2012 Festival 9/28 - 11/11

I like the smaller size pours ( as long as the price isn't in the ridiculous range ). I like being able to try a lot of different wines, and if the pours are too big I won't even make it half way around WS:rolleyes1

I agree. Looking at years past I thought there was no way I would get to try everything. But 2 to 3 oz pours r much more doable!

Very excited about sampling a couple things @ the food & wine festival! This will be our 1st time & it's starting! This is a good sign that our trip is finally soon!!:woohoo:

I am so excited to go to F&W in November. It just barely worked out for us to go the last two days of F&W and three days after F&W.

8 days to go. Better start planning my packing!

For those of you who requested, and received, the F&WF booth listings I made I have now revised them with prices. Also caught a few minor mistakes. If you want the new one send me another PM, or reply to my email. Sorry, I didn't keep everyone's PMs.

Happy F&WFing. :goodvibes

I need to get a couple of gifts on the trip, and I was thinking a set of Disney character wine charms would be perfect for one friend. Do you know if they have ever had these? You know, the charms you hang on your wine glass at a party so you know it's yours.

Yes they have had these in the past. I'd look at Festival Center, but also keep an eye out in the countries that have their own wine shop - Italy, Germany and France in particular.

I thought I saw those earlier today on easywdw.com, and I did.

Part way down the page there's a photo of some charms and hats. It's under the photo of the Duffys.

HTH.

1. Where is the Festival Center located? :confused3 I don't see it in the map with all the booths.

2. Coming from the International Gateway, what sounds more appealing, starting counterclockwise (towards France and Belgium) or clockwise (towards Greece and Ireland)?

I'll be there in less than a week! :dance3:

The festival center is the old Wonders of Life Pavillion between Universe of Energy and Mission: Space.

I think I would go towards France and Belgium, but you can't go wrong either way.

Thanks! No wonder I completely missed it when we went to F&W in 2009!

Another questions (sorry, I'm finally in logistocs mode!). I saw that you can also pick up the marketplace 'passports' - that you can get stamped - at the DVC booths. Does anyone reacall if there is a DVC booth near World Showcase? Since we're coming from the Int'l Gateway and want to grab a snack (or two or three) right away I don't want to have to go all the way to the Festival Welcome. TIA!

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe I recall seeing one near the counter service place that use to be McDonald's, between Canada and the entrance to World Showcase from Future World.

I hope it's still there! Maybe someone going soon can chime in on locations near the Wrold Showcase to pick up the 'passports.'

Since #1 has been answered, my 2 cents is go towards Britain and Canada. My two favorite food items are the Fisherman's Pie (savory) and Molten Chocolate Cake (sweet). My first day I plan on heading that direction and working my way through Canada and Greece to Hawaii, then on to the Latin regions and coming back for Champagne and Desserts.

After that, my plan of attack is not yet determined, but probably the next day, I will go the other direction.

All this 'plan of attack' planning has me so excited! We leave in 8 days and I cannot wait. As a first timer, I think I'm going to get overwhelmed, but I'm ok with that! :thumbsup2

You have excellent taste! Those are my favorites, too. Not to mention the cheese soup at Canada and the frozen drinks at France. All in the same direction heading from the Int. Gateway entrance.

I agree about the pie and the cake, but the cake is so darn small, the size of a quarter if i remember correctly.

Yay, it starts today. Looking forward to all who post early reviews. We leave next Friday. Can't wait.
