There's just NOTHING like being able to walk in and out of the World Showcase at your leisure during the food and wine festival! You're going to have such a wonderful time.

We're booked at the Beach Club so that we can eat...sleep...eat...sleep...eat... :rotfl:

I am super excited too! Staying at the YC for three nights just so we be right were and just walk right into the park! 3 more months to go!

Anyone do the Grand Marnier event last year? I have read good and bad reviews and i can't decide if i should do it or not.

Can anyone point me towards review of the first bites reception? I will be there the first week and I am looking for something new to do.

We skipped PFTS last year, and now I am bummed because it is not being offered this year on the first weekend. The Tutto pairing was not worth the $ imo I would just eat there, it was just an excuse for Banfi to sell us wine. Not much wine info, not for us anyway that we didn't already know. The level of food was good but the wine education was a big 0. The Trimbach lunch at Bistro (Alsace region)was amazing so that is an option because it is a different region.

Another amazing experience was the Andrea Robinson friends and famly wine pairing but again I want to try something "new" even though it is a different presenter and we just did that last year, not much is being offered the first week!

We are at BCV also and we look forward to stumbling back :rotfl:

I can't remember whether or not I wrote a review of last year's First Bites, but the abridged version was that I thought the event was just ok. It was a little disorganized (which I've come to expect from an inaugural event) with some poor logistics (they really didn't use the space well), and last year it was way overpriced. I wouldn't pay more than straight PFTS prices for the event and even that's pushing it.

Who choose to stay at the Beach Club too, so we can be closer to the Fun and Food at Epcot F&W!

I am counting down the days until the F&W Fest! We have been going most years for the last 6-7 years and always have a great time. This year I am focusing mostly on the F&W stuff rather than anything else, and filling in the rest of the parks where they fit!

We are staying at BWV and love to eat around the world at the kiosks - on a weekday! Plus we do love the signature dinners, if we can get (and afford) them.

I know PFTS can get a bad wrap, but I truely enjoy it! I consider it a big cocktail party +++++

I am also looking forward to some of the culinary and wine demonstrations.

I guess I just love being on vacation and really try to enjoy everything! :hippie:

After several years of having a CA F&W Festival where I could attend events weekly throughout the Festival I am looking so forward to this F&W at Epcot. I'm especially glad that I have the opportunity to hopefully book some signature events over our four night stay at BCV, and be able to stumble back to the room! The signature events have always been what F&W was about for me. The kiosks are just icing on the cake. I wish Epcot had a Cooking School like we did at Napa Rose.

I hope they bring back our CA F&W Festival, but if not at least I own a boatload of points at BCV so I can keep coming back if necessary!

Here's to F&W and to points at our home resort being at EPCOT.

Well, I canceled my BCV reservation first weekend in November and moved it to last weekend in September. Nothing available at BCV or BWV, I'm at SSR. Now I'm going to rebook for the November weekend (doing both weekends). I bet I can't get into BCV now, the best I am hoping for is OKW. So it works great if you do your planning early and don't change your mind (and/or change it back again). At least I am at BCV for the last weekend of the festival, when my parents may come along, they will be happy that it's so close to Epcot.

Good luck, good luck! I'm running into some serious "mind changing" problems on my D23 Expo reservations, too, so I second the whole make a reservation and don't change your mind thing!

We live too far and have airfare booked so we can't change anything, plus staying at BCV. Good luck with your other reservation.

Have you been on the D23 Expo thread? There are lots of hotel suggestions and knowledgeable people.

We arrive on the 19th too. Would have been perfect since we are planning a trip to Raglan Road. Too late to change our plans now.

But you will be there for his demos. Sally went last year.

Holy heck... I already have an ADR for the 18th. Maybe I should look into the signature dinner...

I looked at the menu. Think I will skip the signature dinner and just stick with a normal meal.

Has anyone attended the 3D Dessert Party with children? I know $45 is a lot to pay for a kid who will probably eat one doughnut, but I'll be there on the 21st and would love to go! Is it appropriate even though there's alcohol? We've done the Wishes party twice and the VIP viewing area for Illuminations almost justifies the cost...
