**2011** Epcot Food & Wine Festival HAS ENDED. 2012 Festival 9/28 - 11/11

Subbing!

I am so excited for the F&WF this year!

I have a question for those of you who have done it more than once, does the food change every year? Or just every few years?

I was there last year and I am hoping to not have many repeats. :goodvibes

And does anyone know when they generally put out the list of the booths and menus? I know they are adding a few new stands this year! I'm super excited for Hawaii. :lovestruc

This will be my third year and I will admit that I am not an expert but there were many of the same dishes between the two years I went.

The popular items will be back and they will throw in a few new ones.

Great! Last year we made the newbie mistake of having lunch at Le Cellier and were too stuffed to take advantage of most of the booths. :sad2: This year I'm eating my way around the world! :rotfl2:

You're correct. Why the ineptness on Disney's part?

Since the website is not a disney dot com address, I'm trying to blame it on a third party? Think that might be true? This is the worst website ever associated with Disney. They need to take a note from the South Beach and Atlantic City F&W Fests associated with Food Network. Now there are great websites with all the info you need - & they look cool.

Every year the details & reservations come later & later. No other WDW event is like this; it's ridiculous! The only reason we ever go to F&W is because someone in party already always has a conference down there. I could never plan a trip around F&W fest, because Disney people need to plan wayyyyyyyyyy further in advance than this would ever allow.

Rant over. :headache:

I apologize if I missed this but is there NOT going to be a Party on Saturday, Oct 29th??

If you've never attended a D23 event they are a close equal to F & W for their lack of information. They seem to assume the attendees for their events are all locals who don't need to worry about arranging plane fare & hotel accommodations with 3-4 weeks notice.

I just book my hotel for F & W and plan for the special experiences that occur during my dates when they finally get around to posting that information. The one year I waited for the F & W event booking first I ended up having to change resorts three times during my visit because I waited to make my hotel reservations until after I booked the coveted Le Cellier Pairing that they don't have anymore.

Boy did you miss it, the Disney execs have decided that HEALTHY dining with kids and no alcohol would be better than a PFTS that weekend. The one when I will be there! :headache:

Tell me about it. I booked my air in January, I'm in the same boat. :sad2:

I received an email this morning from zazu & bovolo restaurants + farm | black pig meat co. They are in Healdsburg Ca. and Sonoma. One of the chefs was on the Next Iron Chef and the bacon they do is worth a trip!

EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, October 8 & 9,
come PLAY w/ us & Mickey
That is a Saturday and Sunday - anyone going then and likes pork should check these guys out! :thumbsup2

I would love to eat their food and am glad to be there that weekend! I wonder what kind of special events they will be involved in?

Back in 2007 we attended one of the F&W events that they no longer have - The Exquisite Evenings at Epcot and Duskie Estes and John Stewart from zazu. It was fantastic and they were both so shy, but very engaging. I never thought I would like a venison chop, but they made it so perfectly

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to join you all this year. :) I went to the Food & Wine Festival for the first time last year with DH and we had the best time! My parents knew how much fun we had and decided they wanted to go this year. I had to wait to hear back on exam results to find out if I could go with them or not (since I'd have to retake my exam in October had I failed). Well I just found out I passed and now I get to go to the Food & Wine Festival again this year! We'll be there October 13 - 21.

I should remember since I went last year, but does anyone know when they usually start releasing the menus for the booths?

Is there any particular website that has all the information including days/times of events at this years F&W?? I really want to make sure I don't miss out on anything I really want to see and do!
