**2011** Epcot Food & Wine Festival HAS ENDED. 2012 Festival 9/28 - 11/11

If you call the festival number they have the list of demonstrators for the "deminars." I spoke with a terrific person who read me two weeks worth. Not the ideal situation, but...... I don't understand why they're not making the list available. Also I was told you must call to book on the 12th. Not available on line.

What....... This is crazy!:scared1:

Do they seriously expect we will call on the 12th and have the CM read us the list for our dates, then we'll decide what to book (or not)? If they have the list, why can't someone get it on the website? :confused3

Now isn't that just so productive for everyone involved. Disney's Information Technology Department, an oxymoron in itself, really deserves the Fickle Finger of Fate Award.

Sad thing is I have been applying for their IT Department...they say they are "Going In another direction with a person who more fits what they need"...good grief your IT is horrid...Maybe you are getting the wrong ones.

Oh well off my soap box...

Please release the Deminars Disney BEFORE they go on sale so I know what to get.

I know... I am totally frustrated, we plan my birthday trip every year around the F&W and who we can see. We used to go to sweet sundays and the cheese seminars but they priced us out of those. So we are looking for the seminars that we can afford so we will have more money for food!!! YUM!!

It says to call MS beginning on Friday. I'll be there for only 1 Wednesday and Thursday, so I'll be booking the dates and the times, even if the schedule isn't out. :goodvibes

It says to call MS beginning on Friday.

And we've already had one poster who said they were told, by Member Services, NOT to call Member Services, but to call 407-WDW-FEST, which is essentially the same as calling 407-WDW-DINE.

So I called to talk to someone about the schedule while I am there.

and over half of the scheduled times had TBD listed as the items/ place for the demos and seminars.

But they told me the locations and it seems that they are at different restaurants all over the Disney or the CM did not know what they were looking at.

I got nothing from my call...:headache:

I'm on hold with them now....we'll see...if enough folks call and tie up their lines maybe they will do something different.....OK spoke to a rep for about 20 minutes...no help what so ever..the lady I talked to was very nice, but knew nothing...except that we can start booking the "mystery" deminars tomorrow.... DVC members get a $2 discount but only on deminars presented M-TH...so I guess you pick a day and take your chance....NOT!!!!

I pick the latter. The deminars aren't held at different restaurants all over Disney. This applies only to the signature dinners - unless they are getting ready to change things in a great big way.

If I can call from the train station and get it over with before I board my train, I will see if I can sign up for a mixology seminar. But I have only certain days I can do one that would be within the Monday-Thursday parameter. I think I will go for November 3.

Ok, thanks, I haven't read all of this thread. It would have been easier to call, MS, i'm sure!

I did get that the Mixology class for October 2nd is a pear/Mango Mijoto
And for October 6th is Cucumber Daiquiri and Blood Orange Margarita

I think that what the Disney Dining CM was seeing is that most of the chefs who doing the demos are from restaurants all over the WDW, not that the demos are being held all over WDW.

The demos will once again be presented in the Festival Center, which is the former Wonders of Life pavilion.

October 2 is a Sunday. So it won't be discounted. Can you book those tomorrow? Or just the Monday-Thursday ones?

Well.... I am not going to fully blame IT for this..

I bet it's a combination of failures..

IT can't publish what they don't have.... And then once they do get it's Disney's IT (AKA as some of the worst I have evern seen)

So in one corner you have "we don't know what we are doing" and in the other "we don't know how to do our job"

Result... nothing gets done :)

The TiW email makes it sound like it's only for the Mon-Thu sessions. The main body is a bit unclear but the bottom reads:

· Please note that the discount will not be available at the event, so advance purchase is required to get the discounted rate. Discounted tickets may be purchased until 24 hours before the start of any individual session.

· Book as early as Friday, August 12, 2011 at 9 a.m. for discounted events held Monday through Thursday.

· All other Food & Wine Festival events go on sale Tuesday August 16, 2011 at 7 a.m. (no discounts). Please visit www.disneyworld.com/foodandwine for information.

 My skin still crawls at the thought that I ate the whole thing!! :crazy2:

I can't believe you ate the whole thing, either. I DID NOT!! It was raw!
