Mini report....March 18th-21st stayed at Royal Pacific at Universal so we could do Harry Potter. We had a lot of fun and the kids loved Harry Potter. The crowds were not bad. I do think staying at their hotel was very beneficial. We did eat at Tchoup Chop (yum!!) and Emeril's restaurant on the City walk ( yum but more expensive)

Monday March 22nd moved over to Beach Club CL!!! our room was ready by 8:15 in the morning!!! Bonus. We stopped by the lounge and ate breakfast and headed to Epcot. We ate lunch at the new Mexican quick service ( cheese empanadas (yum) were great. We ate at Flying Fish for dinner.

Tues. Kids did the pirates league package and loved it. Just FYI DD is 17 and DS is 13. They had blast. We rode Space Mountain walk on 3 times with no wait in the morning. It was not too crowded!!!! Did Hoop De Doo and had a great time.

Wed. we went to DHS. Not too crowded. Went to Jiko for dinner. Yum!!!

Thurs went to Ak. My Dd and DH did the AK tour and loved it. Thought it was very interesting and fun. Ate at Coral reef and it was only ok.

Fri we went to MK. Not too crowded. Had Crystal palace mid morning. Just ate in Epcot quick service for dinner.

Sat went to DHS again. All week they had been working on the dock at BC so we could take a bus or walk. This morning we waited for a little while and then asked a CM about where the bus was. They were a few other families waiting too. They had opened the dock that morning but no one knew. I was slightly annoyed they did not call they rooms to let them know. The reason I say this is they had called us earlier in the week about moving cars off the parking lot so they could repave. I thought if they could do that they should call and let us know the dock was back open. This was my only complaint. Went to Biergarten for dinner.

Sun we spent our last day at Epcot. We ate lunch at Via Napoli. Yummy!!

The weather was perfect all week. Sunny and it did not rain!!!! We spent a lot of afternoons at the pool. They did check room cards and give wristbands everyday. We always found seats and we would go around 3:30 ish.

CL was nice. It was busy!!! The CM are very friendly and helpful. If you have any questions just ask them. They gave us beer before it was out one day when I just asked what time it was out. She offered to go get us some and who could pass that up!!:goodvibes They also offered to get people a big bottle of water to take back to their room. They have Evian glass bottles in the lounge instead of little plastic bottles.

We stayed in room 5636. It was at the end of the hall right by the Norton Suite. It was quiet and nice. We could see Boardwalk and some water and some fireworks from our balcony.

Had a really great time and can't wait to go back. If you have any questions please ask!!!
Thanks for posting your review.

Sam Adams Seasonal (Noble Pils last week), Yuengling, Red Hook Longhammer IPA (my choice) and Bud Lite that I can remember. I think maybe Heineken and Bud Select or Mich Ultra were there too.

I just had to comment about the Red Hook- this is made in a small brewery about 10 minutes from the town where I grew up. :lovestruc

To all of the new posters to this thread :welcome:
I will get your dates added to the front page in the next day or two. I was away for a lot of the weekend with our final performances of Canterbury Tales and today has been a "catchup on the stuff I have been ignoring" day.

DawnMarie- when I get a chance I will add your link to the front pages. Thanks for putting this together!

BUT, Anheuser Busch (now AB InBev) has had an ownership stake in Red Hook for a number of years. This accounts for their broad distribution relative to most other craft brewers. The Longhammer was a nice surprise in the lounge.

Oh, yeah, I remember hearing that now. But Red Hook will always be that brewery in Portsmouth NH, to me.

Thanks for your mini-TR!! :thumbsup2 Love when everything is a walk-on, tho it's been awhile since I've experienced that being that we have to go in the summers now.

DawnMaree I keep wishing for that magical golden card too :)
One can always hope! I was upgraded once from standard view to water view, and was elated!! A friend of mine was upgraded from garden view to CL on her last trip. So, it happens!!

Just one week. Can't wait.:woohoo:

Not fast enough!!! :headache: :rolleyes1 Kidding!! Hey, I've got to get to work on getting those other slideshows done, or at least presentable. It's busy season now with 3 kids, 1 in Little League baseball.

it is so fun to find this (huge) forum on Y&BC! We (myself, DW, DD18) will be staying at BCV from 5/30 to 6/6. It's only our 2nd trip to WDW, the last one in '06 when we were at OKW. We're hoping our stay at BCV will outshine that one, and that one was pretty magical!

A pleasure to meet you all. It's great to see the sense of community that is here.

Wow, that sounded like my 12 year old son!

As you are working on some of the other slideshows, I probably have a bunch of other photos I can share with you. I'll put them up on Photobucket. But not until I upload the link to the front page, of course. :)

:welcome: to the DIS and to this forum!

We had the same room in 2008! It is definitely a garden view room now, even with all the changes. From what I understand it is the only gv cl with a daybed so I'm sure it will be set aside for families of 5.

We are a family of 5 reserved for garden view and hoping for that daybed. I know Teena said the rollaways are comfy but my DD is hoping for the cool daybed...shouldn't have showed her the pictures months ago!

I shoudn't be worrying about it but it's the only thing that is nagging at me for this trip-I just need to let it go!:worried:

Oh wow! If I was upgraded from our GV to CL, I'm afraid they'd have to scrape me up off the floor!
In some other resorts I've been lucky enough to be upgraded to water, courtyard or savanna views. But never CL. We are never there for any big celebrations so.......
But I live in hope, lol.
Having said that, I'll be just happy to be at BC. A GV room will be just fine!

Ok, I am going to sound like a complete idiot here... but why is it called a golden card? Is it actually like a credit card they give you or something? :confused3

Guests staying Club Level at the Deluxe Resorts get a Gold KTTW card, instead of the Blue one for those not staying Club Level.

Ooooh! Does that mean that the people staying in a Garden View room get a green card, and the people staying in the "Pebble Beach" views get gray cards and people with parking lot views get black cards with white stripes?

That Marlton Mom, always thinking! :rolleyes1

Hi. This will be our first time staying at the Beach Club. We have a garden room. Can anyone suggest a room location to request? Any other tips? Thanks!
