I am hoping to snag an 8:00am ish reservation at CP during our stay. Will there be a bus that leaves for MK early enough for us to get there on time.

We had a bad experience with the bus service at CBR last year, so I am checking with the BC experts. TIA

I was wondering also on how early you can catch a bus to MK :surfweb:

I just read through all 101 pages today. I feel like I know all of you already. You are all amazing and helpful and kind! Thank you. And prayers and good wishes to Teena, Robyn and doccoc2002.

I have been researching, planning and trying to make the best decision for our family for our kids first trip. We are traveling Aug 18th-Aug 23rd and I am almost positive I want to stay at BC CL but I do have a couple questions if anyone can help me.

It is going to be me, DH, DD3 and DS not quite 2 and my Mom. The most important thing for us is the balcony so I know to just request that. My question is DS needs a crib/PnP (he would climb out of a bed in a heartbeat). If we end up with a room without a daybed, could we fit a rollaway and a PnP in the room? I am OK with crowded if it would work.

Also, will the kids enjoy BC? We are also looking at Poly but I am just not feeling it like I am here. Maybe it is all of you!

I want to know this too! I have an 8:05 ADR at CP. Last year, I had an 8:10 am ADR at Akershus, and we were staying at the Poly. We waited forever at the monorail (no bus service from Poly to Epcot). They were "testing" it. Didn't start running until almost 8:00 am. By the time we got to Akershus it was almost 8:30 am. We totally missed rope drop by at least 30 minutes.

Last July, my family was out at the bus stop at 7:30 for an 8 am EMH opening at MK twice that week. We made it for the rope drop opening ceremony both times. I suspect there are buses running even earlier, but I don't know that for sure. The ride to MK is around 15 minutes, so I am guessing being out at the stop by 7 would do.

You are better off taking the bus than driving or taking a taxi to MK because the bus drops you off right at the entrance and with a vehicle you must go to the TTC, then take the boat or ferry.

Can you please add us to the list. BC 10 to 15 sept

There are early "Character Meal" buses that'll get you to the parks and resorts.

Thanks MickeyT for the update!

I have a thought for you. For about $10 more per day you can "upgrade" to a Garden view room. I would then request a ground floor room because they all have patios. You would have a place to hang out when the kids were napping and you wouldn't have to worry about about getting the standing balcony room.

As for the kids having fun at the hotel, remember the pool has a sand bottom and shallow areas for the kids to play in. It would be like being at the beach but without the scary waves! There is also a little kid slide that would be perfect for your 3 year old. They have some sand toys for sale but you could always bring a few doller store sand toys and plastic cars and the kids would be in heaven!

My son is 12 now but when he was that age the sand and the water were endlessly entertaining.

I really think you are in the right place when you are staying at the beach club! The rest of the gang here will be happy to help you with any questions or concerns that you have about this trip. Get ready to have a WONDERFUL vacation!

Wow! It is not easy keeping up with you people! I updated the guest lists to the best of my ability this morning-

summersalt (April) and Niki and NJ (June), I added you two.

hannahdrewmom and BabyRN- you have both recently posted, but I didn't see you on the lists. If you want to be added, post your info (dates of trip and resort booked).

MickeyT- I added the info for jackeybake- please update your list when you have a chance:
jakeybake Aug 23 - Aug 29 BC (20th Anniversary and DD 10th BD)

Thanks!

We always do a 8:05 ADR at Crystal Palace and never had trouble getting a bus. We are also the crazy "rope droppers" and always have made it in time for rope drop.

Marlton Mom - I was down in your neck of the woods yesterday. I ran a fundraiser for our school at Sahara Sam's and everytime I saw a sign on 295 that said Marlton I thought of you!

Wsprincess - I think you'll be fine with a rollaway or daybed and a pack and play. First of all the the daybad and packand play can be folded up during the day and out of your way. When we did a grand gathering in 2008 my Mom stayed in the room with my 3 oldest sons. Obviously they needed a rollaway! It fit nicely and they just folded it up during the day. There still would have been room for a pack and play. I hope you enjoy BC CL as much as we do. The other option would be to book a deluxe cl room which ha the same cl privileges but it a larger room, just not on the 5th floor. We had one once and it is a lot of extra room. HTH.

MickeyT - thanks for keeping the July list. Looks like we'll definitely have enought for another "Disney YC/BC Mini Meet" like last year!

summersalt (April) and Niki and NJ (June), I added you.
Thanks!

Yeah!!! Another addition to April! I'm at a teacher's conference and reading all of this from my phone. Thanks for keeping up for me!

Two weeks from today I'll be at the Magic Kingdom!

I was wondering also on how early you can catch a bus to MK :surfweb:

When we were at the YC in November, we had an 8ish reservation at CP. We were on the first MK bus and the only riders!!!! We were downstairs around
7. We had to wait a bit in line at MK but it seemed better to do that than be too late.

Hi everyone!

I'm leaving in 7 days for WDW! And yesterday I upgraded us from POFQ to the BC! We've stayed here once a couple years ago and fell in love with it. Okay, I'm not going to lie. We fell in love with Stormalong Bay. But the rest of the resort is awesome too. We have a standard booked - Unless we splurged and got some amazing pool/lake view, I doubt my mom or I would really spend time out there. I would like a full size balcony though so I will probably request that at check in.

Question - if you pick up some food, like breakfast, from the Marketplace, can you eat it in the Solarium? I recall seeing tables set up but the Solarium is just such a pretty, calm place.

SAB and checkout question...

After we checkout are we allowed to use SAB until DME takes us back to the airport?

Thanks.

I did some searching on the Transportation Boards about the "Character Breakfast Bus" but did not find it mentioned although I did see it posted that the buses to the parks start running at 6:30am.

I want to do an early ADR at Mk and also Boma, but I am thinking it would be best to just take a taxi to Boma rather than a bus to AK and then a bus to AKL

I LOVE the two weeks from today game! I love the one week from today game even better!

Yes, you can eat (and drink) in the Solarium.

Does anyone have a decent recent photo of the Solarium? Would love to put that up on the front page

It probably isn't too late to add the request for full balcony to the reservation- I would try if I were you. Does no harm. Then confirm at checkin that your room has a full balcony or if not, check to see if there is one available that does.

If you would like to be added to the front page guest list, post the dates of your stay.

One thing I have noticed with the early morning buses is that if you miss one it seems to take longer than usual for the next bus. I'm not sure what kind of loop they are on. But I remember just missing an MK bus at BC and waiting quite a ling time for the next one. We ended up being late for CP but they still got us in.

We arrive at BC just ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

SAB and checkout question...

Yes, you can use SAB until the end of your checkout day. There are lockers and showers available in the health club if you wish to freshen up before your flight.

I agree that a taxi is the right choice for Boma for breakfast. By the way, yum!!!
