Is there an entrance to SAB accessible from the area near Beaches and Cream, too?

Yes. This is the way we usally go out.....Just walk around Cape May and out the door. Entrance is right there.

About 20 minutes ago we made our Lagoon View - Club Level reservation and are very much looking forward to our 1st stay at the Beach Club. We are going to be there from August 31st - September 4th.

WooHoo CR Resort Fan is coming the BC. Adding you to the trip list..(Updating on page 85 Dee).

Oh cool I had no idea there was a list like on this thread, so thanks for adding me onto it.

Our beloved leader Dee princess: keeps all the list on the first page (along with about everything else you would ever need to know about Y&BC). We just try and catch the dates from the post and help.

Teena - so glad you won't have to be on that drug for 5 years!
Sorry that you have to go through another surgery but you definitely want to make sure you got it all out. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. You're a trooper and you'll bounce back quickly, I'm sure.

CRFAN - you won't have any trouble finding SAB. There is another entrance by Hurricane Hannah's too, but the entrance on the side near Cape May is closer to BC. There will be a cast member by every entrance, to give you towels and check your room key and give you a wrist band. There is a different color every day - my kids take bets every day on what color it will be.

Our trip is officially official (does that make sense?)!!

Purchased our airfare this week. BC, August 23rd-29th for our 20th wedding anniversary!! Also going to be celebrating my daughters 10th birthday, which she says "Is a big one because it's double digits!"

Looking forward to seeing Ms. Teena and enjoying every second at our beloved BC!!

Now I just have to hope that my DW doesn't finally come to her senses and keeps this big old pain in the butt around until then!!

WISHING YOU ALL THE STRENGTH FOR YOUR SURGERY TEENA !
I hope you recover soon .

I am planning a trip between 2nd June and 8th June and have my reservations at BC on the summer discount. Traveling with seven year old twins all the way from India !

However a bit confused as am now also getting POFQ with two queens at about $900 less !!
I know this is the BC forum so hoping I could get some tips from the BC lovers here that will reassure me that this is worth the extra spend !!;)

Is it truly more luxurious or the money is better spent on character dinning !!!

I am yet to make my ride plan for a seven year old boy and girl . I have only 5 and a half days there due to the flights .

Will we have anytime at all to be at the resort ??It will be a waste if we only come in to sleep !!

We expect to two days at MK and was wondering how diff it is to come back to rest during midday !! My kids are not the strongest !!

Welcome any advice on the resort as well as theme park planning for my family !!

Thanks all

Just got off the phone with the surgeon. Good news and bad news.

Bad: One of the margins showed cancer cells so I have to have another surgery. Testing is 3/28 and surgery on 3/29.

Good: I do NOT have to go on that crazy cancer drug for five years. No hot flashes!!!!!!

Bob's really upset and I am too but I'm concentrating on the good news instead.

Teena, our prayers are with you and we hope the next surgery goes smoothly. I'm so happy to hear you won't have to take the drugs however, often those items used to treat cancer make us feel even worse! (No one likes to get their "vitamins" in the form of a shot to the tummy!:sad2:) I hope that things continue to improve for you. Your attitude is so very inspiring.

Thank you for the good wishes. I hope other dissers here will also give you their opinion on "is the BC worth $900 more than POFQ".

My opinion: There is a huge difference between a deluxe and moderate resort! The rooms at a deluxe are larger and the amenities much more extensive. If you stay at POFQ, your only transportation to the four parks is by bus. You do have boat service from POFQ to Downtown Disney. At the BC, it is less than a 5 minute walk into Epcot, we have boat transportation to the Studios and bus service to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney. If you stay at the BCV, BC or YC, you can go to Stormalong Bay (SAB). SAB is our 3 acre water park pool ... it is situated between the BC and YC. Be advised though that once the kids go to SAB, they usually don't want to go to the parks. There are activities all day long (different every day) at and around SAB. There are also movies on the beach or lawn every night and marshmallow roasts. We have many restaurants at Y&B but no food court (like POFQ). You also can walk over to the Boardwalk for more restaurant choices.

POFQ is a lovely resort. However, it is a moderate resort. There is a huge difference!!! When my family went on a week vacation to WDW, we always stayed at a deluxe resort ... it just made the trip extra special. However, when my daughter and I would go to WDW for a long weekend, we usually stayed at one of the moderates. If you are only going to sleep at the resort and not enjoy all that the resort offers, then save your money and stay at POFQ! If you plan on spending time at the resort (and in June, you will probably want to hit the parks early, come back and spend the afternoon cooling off at the resort and then hit the parks again after dinner), then you will definitely get the benefits of the BC!!!!

Hopefully more people here will give you their opinion too so you can decide what would work best for you and the family.

P.S. Again, my personal opinion: one character breakfast is enough! I think the amount of money they charge for the character breakfasts is ridiculous. However, personally, I think you do better having lunch or dinner at the Crystal Palace ... you get more for your money. Again ... that's just my personal opinion.

Oh no, I will most likely be flying out to Jeanne's on 8/23 to help her get ready for school to begin. Can't believe I'll miss you!

Yay! :welcome: So happy you decided to try BC! You're always answering so many questions on other threads (including my questions!), so I hope we can be helpful as you plan your BC stay.

We'll miss you in the club lounge by just one day - we'll be at BWI from August 23-25, 3-night Dream cruise and BC CL August 29-30. So I may pester you with BWI questions now and then. :) Hope you enjoy BC as much as we do!

Just wanted to say that we are getting to add a day to our stay!!! So excited... go a couple free flights from SW and they couldn't get us out on our departure day.... so what's a girl to do? ;) Add a day at BC of course! So excited since it's our first time there.

Only 3 families are going in April??? Where are all the Spring Break folks? Please let me know if you'd like to be added to the list!

April (We Don't Mind the Showers) 2011

elliefusmom - April 1 - 10 BCV
3disneykids96- April 1-8 BC
fterie4u - April 5-April 10 BC (Daughter's 5th birthday!)
We recently switched from the dolphin to the beach club. We'll be there April 23 - 30. Thanks for adding us!

I am staying at BCV (1st time as a member) from July 6th to the 15th. I just requested a 5th or 6th floor facing the Epcot side. I know there are no guarantees, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. I would love to wake up and see the Eiffel tower :lovestruc

Oh no is right!!

Well that is just the bummer of all bummers!! That puts a damper on things for sure. I was so looking forward to catching up and introducing you to the family!

I will be down again solo for my annual conference in early December so hopefully we can catch up then, and no Pop Century for me this time. I learned my lesson!!

I have a little something for you that I was going to bring down in August to thank you for being so sweet in trying to help me get out of Value Resort hell in December and for always being so helpful.

I'll send it on down to the BC now since you won't be there when we are :(. Can you let me know how I should label it so I know it gets to you?

Bummed that you won't be there but Jeanne comes first :)

You are so sweet ... just address it to "Teena the Greeter" at the BC address and send it ONLY by U.S. Mail and it will get to me. Thanks and I'm really bummed I won't get to meet that family of yours. But hopefully I'll see you in December!

I'll be there at 9:30 AM. It would be great to see you!

We got back Saturday from our first stay at BCV and I cannot say enough good things about this resort! It was wonderful; the food, service, pool, ice cream shop and location cannot be beat!!:lovestruc I had requested a courtyard-upper level room but when we got there my request was not on my reservation. They had put me in a woods view facing the road and Epcot. I know alot of people like that view because it faces Epcot but I had heard that the street makes it noisy so I didn't want to be on that side. They found me a room in the courtyard on the 2nd floor and we LOVED it! It was so pretty and so nice to be so close to the main building and the balcony was huge! We had a studio, room 205.:lovestruc
My son got very ill our last day after we had already checked out (Rotavirus we found out:sick:) and the BC, DVC and BWV did a wonderful job at making sure we were taken care of and got us in a room over at BWV within 45 minutes from the time my son first got sick.:goodvibes The ME was even able to retrieve our suitcases from the airport and bring them back to us BWV!:goodvibes They were so nice! I've already booked our next trip to BCV for Sept. 23-29! We can't wait! April
