2011/2012 Reunion Cruise?

Cute pictures.

We lost a dear friend yesterday. Twleve years ago we were strangers who met at the hotel pool in Daytona Beach. We become friends and planned our vacations every September to spend our vacations together.
Rest in peace, :littleangel: Betty Jo, you will be missed.
I'm so sorry to hear this. I will keep her family (and friends) in my thoughts and prayers.

Beth

Beth, thanks. Not long until your next cruise and WDWI hope you have a great time.

:cool1: We got our "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day." vouchers today. Just in time for our trip! We get on the road bright and early tomorrow morning. Aiming for 5:30 am. We'll see. ;)

We volunteered this past Saturday. So, it took five business days to process. Not bad. :thumbsup2 We already have APs. So, we're opting for the FP option. I expect it to be a slow week. So, maybe we can see how many times we can ride Expedition Everest and RNR over and over again or even a repeat of DAP with our own little TSM marathon. :wizard:

We got SO much snow yesterday!!! We thought it would never quit snowing. We let Koda go out for his first big snow and play. It was so cute!!!

Koda is soooo cute! He looks like he's having such a good time! I was just going to say that we haven't had any snow at all lately, until I looked out the window just now! It must have snowed while I was taking my nap. The street is covered, and the grass is almost covered now too! I don't think we'll get a lot, but I'd love to have enough to take our dogs (and maybe even the babies) outside. We have a wonderful small hill which would be so much fun for sledding with the little ones, and we haven't had enough snow in the years that we've lived here to try it out. Shannan is probably too big to enjoy this little hill now, but the babies are little daredevils and would love it.

Beth

He did have a good time outside. He's been all tuckered out all afternoon. :goodvibes
I bet the kids would LOVE to go outside and play and sled. Sounds like a good time!!

It is so funny how dogs love to play in the snow. DS's dog is a hoot out there!

We did our Give a Day at Ronald McDonald House yesterday. We won't be using it until October at WDW. We leave Wed for DL on Wed to celebrate DrHug's birthday, (the really big 65 for him this year!) but we have an annual pass there so we will save the free day for FL. We will be at DL for a week at the Villas at the Grand CA. Looking forward to that! :dance3:

I just signed up for our Give a Day at a homeless shelter.

Last night we were in Cleveland where I swore in some new Airmen down on the ice at a Lake Erie Monsters Hockey Game! It was pretty cool!!

We cancelled our cruise on the Dream, because after being on Mariner of the Seas for 7 nights (same size as the Dream) I realized that 4 nights on the Dream will NOT be long enough. We'll wait for the Fantasy, and maybe even do a B2B 7nt. And meanwhile I transferred our ressie to a 3-nt on the Wonder over Veterans Day for a quick getaway. I already have a $1,000 non-refundable deposit on the booking, so we booked a SPH room and now the cruise is almost paid for! I think I owe like $65!

The weather here in Pittsburgh is cold, but beautiful!!

That is so sweet! I want to snuggle with him!

That is so sweet! I want to snuggle with him!

He's the best snuggler!!! Robby and I were talking the other night about how we have gotten so attached to him. I really don't know what we will do if anything ever happens to him. I hope we don't have to worry about that for a very long time!!!

We're back in Florida after our cruise! It must be me--weather was cold and rainy, with a bumpy night or two, we went to Nassau instead of Grand Cayman because of weather.

Jim and I did rebook on board--we're sailing on Dream on 2/6/2011!

Here's a funny story--
I bought a new camera while on board. It's a fairly small waterproof one, very nice, and very "DIS green". Since I didn't have a strap for it, I used the nice green lanyard from our cruise. I was in Basin in Downtown Disney last night, and a young couple stopped to ask me if I was actually on that cruise or had I just gotten the lanyard somewhere. When I said I had been on board, they said they had seen all those lanyards and wanted to know who that huge group was! They've been wondering for more than two years!

Now I'm off to find something to do to keep warm.

Beth

Funny, Beth, I was thinking about you this weekend because of all the snow on the east coast. Glad to know you were cruising and missed the storm. The green landyards...that was a great group of people we met on that cruise. :grouphug:

The best part of the weather at home is that my office was closed for two days, so I got two of my vacation days back!

Beth

Hope everyone is well

Working on our plans for the TA in April :surfweb: We do have a cruise booked in 2011 for Alaska. I would love to also book a Disney Dream cruise but I'm waiting for the price to drop. :confused3

Brack, your TA is coming quickly!! Enjoy. We will bring the Magic back in Sept. We also would love to sail the Dream, but the cost for such a short cruise is making us wait as well. Perhaps in another couple of years after Alaska. We plan to try to rebook Alaska while on board and hopefull save a little $$ and get some OBC. We are platinum so I think the OBC is pretty good. We will see. :thumbsup2

We were lucky--we got a good price by booking on board, and for some reason the price seemed very reasonable to us. We're taking the older granddaughter with us, although we aren't telling her until at least Christmas (that will be her Christmas present, birthday present, Easter present etc. for next year). We may not even tell her until we're actually leaving. It's possible that DS and his gang will be going to WDW for a week before the cruise. We'll fly in a day or two before and join them, and then just take her with us. Otherwise, she'll drive us crazy. 328 days is a long time for a ten year old!

I can't believe the Magic is heading back to Europe so quickly. It seems like she was just there. :wizard: I know you will have a "magical" trip. I am sure you will take lots of pictures to post. So, we can live vicariously through you. ;) Europe (especially the Med) is still on our list of things to do with the kids. One day ... :cloud9:

 We board a shiny Southwest plane in 27 days!!! We're heading to CA in April for our Adventures by Disney trip with the Podcast Crew. We recently received some great and very special news only for our trip ... :worship: we get to have breakfast at Club 33. It will be opened just our group. I can't wait! The whole trip was going to be a "once in a lifetime" experience, but eating at Club 33 really topped it off. :woohoo: We get to take as many pictures as we want in Club 33 and even shop in their exclusive shop. I will make sure to post some pictures from this amazing trip. :wizard:

:goodvibes Jennifer

Totally cool!!! We have been blessed to have brunch at Club 33 twice. You are really going to enjoy it!!! Their "shop" is just a display case with a few items (the merchandise changes regularly) that you pick from and then they go and bring the item to you. I think the 33 pins are there all the time. DS wore out the 33 polo we bought him and we wanted to replace it the second trip, but they no longer had that. Check out the "throne" in the ladies room. Too cool!!!!
