2011/2012 Reunion Cruise?

Man I wish I had a Wii!!! I would really like to play that game. We talked about getting a Wii a while back, but we decided that we don't have the room with the 360, PS2, Blu-Ray player, DVR, VCR...You get the point. :goodvibes You will have to let us know how it is!!!

:surfweb: I have to tell you about a funny thing that happened this past weekend ...
It has been raining here in the Dallas area for about four days now. :umbrella: I'm looking out my home-office window and it is still raining! Yesterday, I took a drive out with my Mom to her new house to see the progress. Smartly, I stayed in the car while she hopped out wanting to take some pictures. She carefully walked into the house stepping in mud puddles along the way. When she came out, she wanted to wash off her sneakers. So, she looked for a big semi-clean puddle to rinse off her sneakers. Okay, this is the point where I wish I had my video camera (AFV would have loved this!). My Mom slowly put her foot into the puddle and instead of dipping her foot in and rinsing her shoe and taking it out, she stepped into the puddle to the bottom with all the mud and guck. It was the funniest thing I had every seen. She was knee-deep in this puddle. It was a sight! :rotfl2:

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh!

Anyone else going to be playing tonight? Bill pre-ordered it months ago. He picks it up at Toys R Us on his way home. Tonight, I am making a quick dinner and we are going to gather around the tv as a family and pretend we are at DHS. :woohoo:

Anyone else?!?!?!?!?!

We love, love, love our Wii. I have been using the WiiFit regularly since Mar (except for the last 3 weeks when we had a steady stream of company) and I have lost 25 lbs. :dance3: I am so excited!! I am just a couple of pounds away from moving from "that's obese" to "overweight" with my BMI. :banana:Love it!! We also like to golf and bowl. We just bought Tiger Woods' golf game. Haven't tried it yet but I am looking forward to using it when the weather gets colder here and we are stuck inside more. :thumbsup2

25 lbs, that's awesome Angie! Good for you!!:yay:

I will chime in ... Great job on the 25lbs Angie!!!! :cool1:

One of Bill's friends wife got Wii Fit and was so upset after stepping onto the board and the character got fatter and fatter and fatter. I am sure that was a sight. I just read about the Wii Fit Plus that comes out on October 4th. I hinted to Bill that would be a nice Christmas present for me. He's usually pretty good about taking hints. :thumbsup2 I need to get into shape for our April California trip. I don't think they let you into the state if you are overweight. I'd better get working ...

The Wii is actually Cole's from Santa last Christmas. I am amazed at how well he does at it. He loves the boxing game. I sat and watched him one day and he was really getting into it. He got Mario Kart for his birthday last month. That game is neat and is great for non-gaming people like myself. I will not go near Bill's Xbox 360. I can handle the Wii. :thumbsup2

Jennifer, I am the same with video games. I played Pac Man once way back in the 70's or 80's or whenever it came out. I hated it and never played another. Too much stress for me being chased by that darn thing! But, I do love the Wii. We played on DGS's and then bought our own.

Oh, and Dennis and I did sneak into California overweight and did not get into too much trouble! ;):rotfl:

Anyone out there ...

:surfweb: Jennifer

We're still here  Lots going on with us both at work and at home. JoJo is taking a lot of time for care giving. He is still wonderfully sweet but each day is really hard for him. :sad1: He is such a fighter and we want to make his time as comfortable as possible.

We have a few short trips to WDW planned plus a week right after Thanksgiving. We've booked a 2 bedroom suite at Old Key West for our friends and our son. :woohoo: The big deal is our April Transatlantic on the Magic. While there we will decide what the next cruise will be. :yay:

We love OKW!! What great family fun. We are looking at the 6/21/11 Alaska. We will see tomorrow what we can come up with. :rolleyes1

We actually were kinda disappointed with the Alaska itinerary. We were really hoping for Glacier Bay, but when Disney pulled out, we figured that Alaska wasn't going to be in the future for a really long time. We just got back in June from Alaska with Royal Caribbean, and had pretty much the same itinerary. It was a lot of fun, but it definately wasn't Disney. The ports were BEAUTIFUL though!! You will have a blast!!!

:thumbsup2 That's actually the cruise we were looking to book because Bill's birthday is on June 25th. No better place to celebrate than on the Wonder. :woohoo: Also, I believe Wendy was thinking about booking this cruise too. Maybe, we'll see y'all?!?!?!?! First, we have to mortgage the house and give Disney our first born. Just kidding. But, for our family of five in a Cat. 4 (or whatever they are calling it these days) it is going to be a pretty penny. :scared1: Time to start saving ... :rolleyes1

Yep, that's the one we're going to hold for now. But I have a feeling we'll end up doing a 7 nt one-way with Princess, and adding on a land package with them. Take a look at their website. They have some really cool tours you can do at the hotels. Like Gold Panning and visiting a Husky camp! Plus they have a great kids program and their entertainment is second only to DCL in our books!

Our date has changed to 7/26...I'm on terminal hold. approx 120 min.:eek:Burning cell phone minutes. :sad2:Why do we do this???:rolleyes1

I knew I wouldn't have time to call today, so I put in a request with All Seas Travel. They got me a midship Cat 3 on the June 21st Alaska by 9:30 this morning. I wasn't thrilled with the $10,549 price tag, but figured I'd hold it just in case. Then I found out that the (non-refundable) deposit on suites is $800 per person! I'm now in a Cat 5A (old Cat 6) in #6078 on the same sailing. I can see the reservation on the website, but haven't gotten the confirmation email from the TA with the new price.

We are doing 11C - old 12 - GTY. $2600 for the 2 of us. We were ok booking this since they are putting a new enclosed viewing area up on deck 10. We will sit there and watch the iceburgs. I am such a mizer. :sad2:

So Robby and have started looking at DVC again. We are so torn because we really like the fact that we can have accommodations all over the world, but we dont like the fact that after so long you have to give it up. What made you guys decide to do it?? Do you find it a hassle to buy your tickets separately for DL or WDW???

We won't have to give it up until after we are long gone. We have had no trouble buying tickets. I use undercover tourist and buy 10 day never expire tickets. We use them for about 2 and a half to 3 trips. We got our original investment back in less than 5 years. I cannot understand not doing it if you go to Disney often, either WDW or DL.

I LOVE my DVC! I can't believe how much I use it. I love the fact that I'm actually prepaying for vacations for the next 45-50 years. Jasmine and her kids will be using it after I'm gone. I've got the money now, so later on I'll be able to vacation for just the cost of the annual dues!

Right now Bay Lake Towers is actually the best deal, because they have the lowest annual dues. They are going to raise the prices (I think it's the 28th of Dec) because they want to slow down the sale at BLT.

There are probably some pretty good deals on resales right now, due to the economy. You could start with a small contract of say 50 points and then go from there....

I would say buy where you want to stay. Buy resale if you have to. That was a mistake we made. We love OKW, but bought at VWL because that is what they were selling at the time - and we did not know much about this stuff. We now stay most of our trips at VWL because it is hard to get rooms at the 7 month booking.
