Thanks for all the opinions. I emailed the cl and the response back was that the concierge rooms should be completed by the time we are there. The only question is whether or not construction on the gazebo would be happening while we are there. If it is we should be able to move to another room and/or resort. So for now we have decided to stay with the yacht club and hope for the best.:)

BC merchandise has arrived! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm drinking tea from a BC mug. I saw a jacket, Tshirt, polo and some other small things...magnet maybe and something besides the mug (although I bought the last one on the shelf last night).

We're in a 2 br on the Epcot side which is my favorite. Can I check on anything while we're here?

Teena
, hope to see you this weekend.

Thanks for sharing happy news! Sounds like you're having a great trip! I hope the rest of your stay is filled with magic!

Amanda

PS Do you think I could use a few more exclamation points? Really??? ;)

Question re: Bounceback Offers

Does the bounceback offer require a minimum stay? Can it be part of a land & sea package?

We've started thinking about what we might want to do for our 10th anniversary, which is still 2+ years away, but I'm a planner. And if we do it up big, we need to save up for it, so I'm tossing around ideas. One idea is the Disney Mediteranean Cruise, but we've never been on a cruise, so I thought maybe next year we do a Land & Sea package so we can still enjoy WDW and try out a cruise.

I didn't see a minimum stay when we booked our Bounceback offer (we were at GF in January and booked our August trip to BC using the offer). There were many black-outs dates to the offer.

Can't wait to see you on Sunday!!!!!

What are your hours these days, Teena?

Hope you are having a magical trip!!!!

I'm on the lookout to see if the Captain's Grille has gone back to serving key lime pie for dessert.

Other than that I only wish you great weather and a great time.
Oh and say hi to Teena for me!

Thanks, Robyn. We really needed this trip and it's been a great first 30 hours or so. We actually had dinner tonight at Captain's Grille. Good dinner but I'm sorry to report that Key Lime pie is no on the menu and our friendly server didn't think it would be again anytime soon. Thanks for the good wishes.

Woo-hoo!!! Thanks for sharing the good news!

Marlton Mom- your mission has changed!!! Your previous assignment of interrogating and torturing the BC Marketplace CMs has been declassified. Instead, please photograph the elusive subjects and report back!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm happy to day there were more BC mugs on the shelf today (ceramic which I should have said earlier....not the refillable type) as well as water bottles that I didn't see last night. There are indeed magnets as well as luggage tags.

Did anyone happen to see a Beach Club Shrimp Fork in the resort merchandise section??

..... just wondering.... :rolleyes1

~Marlton Mom

I for one didn't see a shrimp fork.....but I can tell I'm out of the loop as usual. :confused3:goodvibes

Thanks for the merchandise update, BCV23!:thumbsup2

One of my favorite towels, and it's still in use, is from the BC!
Dh will love to get some BC stuff as well as mosey over to the YC for some stuff, too! ;)

MM.....I had to clean my monitor with all that shrimp fork stuff! :lmao:
You are hilarious!

Hope all is well, Lulu'sMom. Don't you treasure those things that bring back memories of past trips? :wizard:

The verbiage on the Bounceback clock in our villa states "Minimum length-of-stay requirements may apply for Friday or Saturday night arrivals." I don't know if you could use one as part of a land sea package but you could always book them separately. Happy planning!:surfweb:

Getting so close, TaraPA and EMH3kids. :cool1:

Thanks, Amanda. Love the exclamation points BTW.

Thanks! I get a little crazy with planning vacations and such. We're still 8 months away and I'm already wondering about a bounceback. :rotfl:

And thanks BCV23 for your Live Report from BCV of the bounceback info.

A day late...

Last night's "My House Goes Disney" featured a few quick shots of the Yacht & Beach Club and a sneak peek at the Art of Animation. The family dog, Duke, got a doghouse modeled after the Beach Club. I tried to get a picture to post from the internet, but so far I haven't found one.

The kids rooms were inspired by Finding Nemo (complete with a Crush bed), a princess room with a princess bed and a fairy (Tinkerbell) bed and a room based on Cars.

Here's the writeup from the Disney Park Blog with a video of one of the bedroom transformations:

My House Goes Disney 2/24/12

The Disney Parks are inspiring HGTV makeovers again! For the Hinson family of seven, whose Disney passions cover everything from fairies to fish, HGTV could not keep this transformation limited to the backyard. Instead, they redesigned this house inside and out for this very special episode of “My House Goes Disney” in a makeover that allows the Hinson children to live and play in the middle of a Disney story.

Inspired by the new Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, HGTV created a “Finding Nemo”-themed bedroom for Ashton with a Crush the Turtle bed and a surfboard desk that converts to an extra bed. Emma and Hannah will have sweet dreams in a woodland fairy inspired bed and a Cinderella bed. They’ll dream the night away surrounded by a unique, layered mural that took three weeks to make and Brendyn and Cohen’s engines will roar in a “Cars”-themed bedroom painted Lightning McQueen red.

Finally, no house transformation would be complete without something special for Mom and Dad. The designers incorporated Jeremy and Kelsie’s love for Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts into the backyard with a new larger pool, a splash pool and a new outdoor kitchen!

See how they brought the magic of Disney Parks to this house – inside and out – in a special episode of “My House Goes Disney” tonight, Feb. 24, at 9 p.m. EST on HGTV.

I watched it too!!! I kept wondering if they would go into the lobby so we could catch a glimpse of our favorite CM!!

Made DH and I really miss our favorite place :lovestruc:lovestruc

Am I the only one that didn't like the kids rooms? Loved the outdoors but all I kept thinking when I watched it "how are they going to clean that fairy bed with all the vines?". The the girl with the markers at her table i kept saying I know she is going to draw on that wall....LOL!

OMG it's like you are reading my mind!!! I also thought they "being Disney" could have come up with something a bit more magical in the princess room:confused3 Maybe the rooms were too small?

And I really loved the turtle bed, but he will outgrow that in NO TIME FLAT!!! (insert feet hanging over bed)

They just seemed like rooms that Any parent could have done........needed a little more spark to them. Same with the back yard, last year when they did My Yard goes Disney.....they seemed to really put a lot of effort in them, and this time it was just "plain".

The dog was the real winner last night!!

When I saw that bed I said to my husband "That's going to be fun to vacuum!

Oscalla - LOL I said the same thing about once the boy has a growth spurt how is he going to fit into that bed? And the comforter just looked crazy to wasn and how would you fit blankets under all that to fit????

Nate - glad I am not the only one worrying about vacuuming.

But I loved their attempt at the outside though wish they woud have enlarged the pool for the kids...but such a cute attempt at BC/YC!

But I think what makes Disney so great is the GRANDNESS and HUGENESS of it all. Making it impossible to recreate on a smaller scale...just never works you know?

I taped both shows so I am off to watch now.

:cool1: I just booked 9/24 - 9/30 at the Beach Club - Garden View. This will be our first stay at the BC and I am thrilled. We are doing a split stay with AKL 9/20 - 9/24.

I still need to call back and add my room requests. I'm going to request a full balcony. Any other suggestions?

2 more days until we are back at the BC!:cool1: We are so excited!
I am planning on bringing my iPad with me, and will try to update while there. Is there anything specific that I can check out for anyone? We will be in a water/pool view room and will be there until 3/2.
