OK so I've been following the gajillion page OMG they are EXECUTING fast pass changes and I'm going to: Die,BeOK,LiveWithIt,KillMyself,YouAreSoStupid,NoIAMRight,WhatIsYourProblem,WeDon'tKnow thread.

To sum it up for those of you who are normal and have a life or for those of you who are abnormal OR for those of you who just like to hang here because the rest of the Dis Boards give you a headache or for people falling into the "other" category..... here's the scoop.

Used to be you could return and use a fast pass ANY time after your return window opened, even though the FP said your FP was good between this time and ends at that time.

a RUMOR* now says that starting in March you can only use your FP 5 mins before the time printed on the ticket and 15 mins after the end time it is valid. (* it's a RUMOR because the info has not come officially from Disney yet, just from another site to which I posted a link previously in this thread)

HOWEVER, we do know there are changes coming to the FP system. Wanna see another article explaining what they are from some one who purports to know?? (I thought so!)

Here's the link http://dizfanatic.com/DizTech012.aspx

Dig in!

Smoochies..

Yaaay!
I'm thrilled to say that we just booked our first Beach Club stay!

Teena...here we come!

We're going to do a week at the Inkeeper's Club at the BWI, but I've long wanted to stay at the BC, so we're starting our trip with 2 nights there. At the moment, we're booked into a GV room...but I have a sneaking suspicion we'll upgrade to CL when AP rates come out....or sooner. :confused3

Can't wait!

Ok, i feel a bit thick now,Malton Mom has just informed us all that when it said on the FP ticket you had be be there between this time and no later than that time, I BELIEVED IT:eek: For years now we've gone to great lengths to get to our ride on time, and now i find out i've been wasting precious calories rushing back to Toy Story Mania, when i could have still been in The Brown Derby sipping cocktails:sad2:What else have Disney told me and i've believed? This better be a rumour, it could change our park days forever:lmao:

Sounds like a great trip!!! Glad you are checking out the BC.

Would you like to be added to the Be Our Guest list? What are your dates?

OT- HE TOOK THE THUMB SPLINT OFF!!! :thumbsup2

(For those of you who may have missed the post/picture a few pages back, my son Nate has been wearing a splint for a fractured thumb since April 2010 and refused to remove it)

I have no idea why he did this today. We haven't been nagging him and he has no idea I posted about it a few days ago. He came into the kitchen this morning after his shower and said "I took my thumb thingy off. Is it ok if I still wear it when I write and play football?" The thumb does not look that bad. I am encouraged that a few minutes later he said "It is starting to feel better"

Braces are supposed to come off tomorrow. :teeth:

Just to let anyone who is trying to book FDP for June, they've finally opened up. Still waiting for July though.

Why yes! Our dates are August 19-21. My partner and I will be celebrating our 6 year "date-iversary."

I just realized that we're arriving on a Sunday......Teena...you don't every work on Sundays do you???

I work every Sunday and Monday unless I'm out visiting my daughter and granddaughter in Vegas or on a cruise. I'm retired and this is my retirement job so they are really good about letting me off alot so Bob and I can travel.

Teena, I hope you will be around for our visit!! Lauren is looking forward to seeing you again.

Will you be traveling during May 25 - June 2???

Marlton Mom, I just read that Diztech page and I want it all to happen NOW NOW NOW! We stayed in Great Wolf Lodge in 2008 and LOVED the wristbands. We could come and go to the waterpark and our room and charge everything without having to mess around with cards. I always wondered why Disney couldn't do that too. And hooking it up to FP and Photopass would be awesome!

Still waiting for seat sales for our flights. Hope I don't wait too long!

I have spring meetings every year for an organization I belong to, and they fly me out to a different location within Canada during the last weekend in May. Last year the meetings were in Whitehorse, Yukon, and we took a side trip to Skagway, Alaska! Anyway, I look forward to the trip and the meetings every year and this year they are in Edmonton, Alberta, where my sister lives. Wouldn't you know it they changed the dates of this year's trip to May 11th and 12th, and we are set to check out of the BC on May 11th! We are traveling with family so there is no sense in trying to switch our dates (plus I've already started scheduling work around them - in my job I have commitments that have to be made months in advance). I could always try to catch a flight out to the meetings on the way back through Toronto on the 11th, but I think that would suck. Plus that's the Mother's Day weekend! Anyway, maybe they will change the dates because a couple of other committee members have said they don't want the meetings over Mother's Day weekend.

Anyway, I CHOOSE DISNEY. LOL

I don't have my dates scheduled for Vegas to help with end of school stuff yet but I think if I go it will be on 6/5.

Often, the Fantasmic dining packages are not available for booking until closer to the dates. It's frequently not available at 180 days, they seem to have some issues with that one - I assume because sometimes they are still working out what days they are going to have Fantasmic? But it's often not available to book at 180, even though that is the window for it.

I have a silly question, because my brain isn't functioning these days.

Wishes and Illuminations occur at park closing, right? It's not like the park closes at 9pm, but Wishes/Illuminations is at 8pm, is it?

I think Illuminations is always always always at 9 PM, when EPCOT closes. EPCOT closes at 9 every night of the year, doesn't it? I think Illuminations is still at 9, even on EMH nights, right?

I'm not as sure about Wishes. I think at regular park closing, whenever it is for that night, but again, I'm not positive.
