Wow! I have never heard of it happening that way before. I wonder if you hadn't been in your room would they of moved onto another room? Did you ever see anyone in your original room while there? That would of been funny!!

They knew we were in our room because I had just stopped down at the desk to ask for some toothbrushes (our Owner's Locker inventory list was out of date and we only had 2 new toothbrushes in there!). Guess they just liked me!

We were there last September from the 8th until the 23rd and most nights it seemed to stay open until 10pm.

3 week trip or wishful thinking?

Thanks natebenma - every year we wish we could stay longer; this year we've decided to make our wishes come true. Everyone at work thinks I'm nuts - and maybe 23 days will be too long - but there's nowhere else we'd rather be.

we were there the week after christmas and the cl level was wonderful!! our room was right outside the lounge and we were in there everyday. they had tables, and i believe 2 sofas. the concierge's service was unbelieveable! we had a total of 32 people on the cl floor with 14 kids! They made a lot of magic happen for our group. would love to go back!

Mel - I have never seen the YC lounge, so I can't compare. The BC lounge is MUCH smaller than the Poly lounge and that's the only one I have to compare to. It was totally fine, but I agree, seating was at a premium during breakfast. It seemed like there aren't quite enough chairs for the # of tables - we were commenting on that. I think maybe although each table can hold 4 chairs, if each actually had 4 chairs, the room would be packed. So every few tables seemed to have only 3 chairs or something. It seemed a bit like musical chairs. I do think the lounge is pretty small, but as I said, I can only compare to the Poly which is actually huge.

Don't mind my kids heads popping up all over the place, they were trying to help dad and stay out of the way - not too successfully!

Thank you so much for sharing this video! I thought it was great! I especially liked the kids inadvertent appearances and at one point I thought I saw a Leprechaun pop up by the dining room table. That would explain your luck on the upgrade!

But, the question I really have to ask, did it have a phone book? If not, it would have been totally unacceptable!! At least you didn't have to stare at a deranged clown.

I second the demand for a phone book! All that luxury and no one to randomly call and brag about it! It's little deficiencies like these that make one go off the deep end

Yes we were in a regular room first. And no there was nothing wrong with it, no complaints, didn't ask to be upgraded - nothing. Just pixie dust (although I referred to them as pixie boulders) a few hours after we checked in, they called and upgraded us.

Love the Pixie boulders crack. Apparently Tinkerbell and crew have been G,T,L-ing (Gym, Tan, Laundry) like crazy to heft those boulders and toss them around!

Thank you so much for sharing this adventure with those of us on the boards. I often wonder what it would be like to live like the Beverly Hillbillies and thanks to your video I got a glimpse.

Sorry to leave everyone hanging. I have a ton of photos and have barely looked at them yet. But, lucky for you ... my husband made a video!

You'll need to let it load a lot before letting it play - on my wireless, it kept stopping over and over. Maybe because it's in HD (although it doesn't look like it - LOL).

Now that's an upgrade!!! WOW!!! Also loved the music, especially "If I had a million dollars"...good ol' Canadian band eh? (We don't really say that...you know that, don't you?!?) A couple of the guys from the band actually live in our neighbourhood!

Being a Buffalo native and frequent visitor to Canada, I'll just say "yes, you do." LOL. But all Canadians say they don't. I've been following BNL since they played in dive bars in Buffalo in about 1991 or so. Saw them many many times in concert.

Thanks Vicki_c. This is better than a year of a million dreams. It really happened to someone I 'know'. I freaked out when we were upgraded to a water view room at the YC. So happy for you and your family.

When I read this, it dawned on me how important it is to live life to the fullest. Life is short and sometimes health issues arise when you least expect it.

I'm so glad to hear the good news about your son and I bet it makes you enjoy your time with him and your time in Walt Disney World that much more!

Congrats to your son and whole family and be sure to enjoy every moment with him!

Thanks Vicki C for BC CL report/. Funny thing this lounge was EXPANDED a year or so ago so I couldn't fathom it any smaller and it still doesn't sound big enough...Well it is not like I am a lounge lizard while on vacation or anything - but i do like a table at breakfast, I am weird that way! I see what you mean too about chairs at a table. BWI CL had A LOT OF chairs. YC not as many...now BC sounding fewer still. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Melissa

Thanks Disneymom but my free trip was this PAST August! I forget how to chqange the ticker so I am fantasizing that I have yet another free trip this August! No such luck so far in 2012~
