You TA should be able to offer you all of the same categories that Disney offers which is Standard View, Garden View or Water View. I hate to say it, but if she doesn't know about Garden View or says she "can't offer that", then I'd suspect that she's not aware of the Disney categories and I personally would be hesitant to work with them. I'm a bit anal about my Disney trips and from following the boards, it seems that we often know more about what Disney offers than some travel agents know.

I'm in the UK but have just checked the Disney UK website and they now offer garden view rooms so am very happy

Yes, we can go a bit looney on these boards, but the end result is worth it since we know the secrets!

Glad the UK site is updated. I've heard it can be frustrating when the US says one thing and the UK hasn't caught up yet.

I'm really pleased the UK site is up to date now, I could still book through Disney US but it's cost prohibitive due to the £/$ exchange rate, so it has to be through the UK.

Oh good! I thought I was going to go back a thread or two. I remember a few UK guests having trouble booking a garden room (were you one of them?) and Teena gave some great advice to be persistent with the view booking request.

Yes, that was so long ago I had to think then lol

Apparently it depends on the 'inventory' they receive from Disney US, some agents are absolutely fine but others, let's just say it's like getting blood out of a stone. However Disney UK have updated their website so I'm very happy

Chances are, the answers to many of your questions are already there and I guarantee there is a ton of info there that you never knew could be so useful, or fun to look at. And here's a special New Years Hug for our own Teena . She had a bunch of ups and downs in 2011 but I have a feeling 2012 will be coming up all Lily's for her!

Lulu's Mom, msdroz and ChipnDaleRule- you may want to PM each other (especially when the trip is closer) to figure out the handoff- whether you want to try to meet or if you just want to hand over the noodles to Bell Services for the next family to pick up.

So far so good. After a 6 month engagement, it seems to be working between Bell Services and guests picking up the noodles (don't forget to tip your bell CMs, I'll be here all week!)

The last report we had was that the Noodle family is in pretty good shape- excellent shape if you consider that one of the noodles had a temporary leave of absence and came back to her family .8 lbs lighter!

I have also heard that Ramen has developed a borderline obsessive crush on Stacey, and expects her to show up at Stormalong Bay during one of his visits there. (Pirate Plummit /\ \/ ) This has resulted in a mysterious disappearance of Axe cologne when families staying with teenaged boys are at the park for the day.

Anyway, as always, we will keep this going as long as the noodles stay in decent shape and stick around.

It's that time again! I'm trolling for an activities schedule for the coming month. I'll also be stalking the Build a Better Mousetrip site for the movie schedule.

Has anyone who is staying club level in January received one (or requested one by email) from IPO?

Or if you are going early in the month and wouldn't mind scanning or taking a photo of the schedule, I would appreciate it.
