Have to say housekeeping was not its best. One day did not clean bathroom - knew because they missed their tip and the rooms were never vacummed.

The fact that they missed the tip does not necessarily mean that they did not clean the room.

On several occasions (at various hotels), I have left a tip with a piece of paper that says, "MAID." I have come back to find the bed made, but the tip still sitting there.

Perhaps I should have written "Housekeeping" or "Mousekeeping," depending on the hotel.

Of course, in your case it's possible that they did not take the tip because they did not attempt to clean the room.

I have not stayed in a Deluxe Room, but here is some info from people who have stayed and reported back, and a thread discussing BC deluxe rooms (including pictures). Just added this link to page 1.

Detailed balcony information on Deluxe Concierge Rooms from guests who have stayed there and reported back:

There are six deluxe Concierge rooms at BC.

1557 has a patio and lots of windows.
2557 and 4557 have extra large balconies.
3557 has the standing room only balcony.

3691 has both a standing room balcony and a full balcony
4681 has a standing room only balcony.

So 3 of the 6 have full balconies, 1 has a patio, and 2 have standing room only balconies.

Just returned from YC. We had an awesome upgrade to the Captian's Suite, picture taken, ballons and a nice little certificate. Wonderful surprise.

Have to say housekeeping was not its best. One day did not clean bathroom - knew because they missed their tip and the rooms were never vacummed. Picked up dead poinsetta leaves all week.

Still love the location.

Any time your room is not cleaned properly, immediately call housekeeping and ask to speak to a housekeeping manager and tell them what was not done properly. Call every day if the room is not cleaned properly every day.

As far as tipping, I always leave it in an envelope and mark the envelope "Mousekeeper".

Hi Teena- Will you be at BC between 12/16 and 12/21? You were cruising when we were at BC last year and would love to meet you this time. Thanks to your posts here, we figured out about pin trading. My kids had collected pins the year before but we never knew that we could trade! My kids got to interact with so many wonderful CMs at BC and throughout WDW last year and we carried on the fun on the Magic this summer. DS loved pin trading with the officers!

DS8 and DD12 are also getting excited about the club lounge. DS especially remembers the hot cocoa machine and the swedish fish. He also remembers coming back after a long day, getting a dessert and watching some classic Disney on the tv in the lounge. We can't wait to share the whole experience with our friends this year.

At what age are kids allowed at SAB without parents? Can our 14 year olds go without us as long as they have their KTTW cards?

Well, I'm 4 days away (or 8, if you believe the WDW website) and argh....
I tried to get some travelers checks at Wells Fargo after work - they stopped carrying them in Sept.. I can order them online if someone will be home to sign for them - I talked it over with the dog, she doesn't think she can learn to write in the next couple of days and I know work isn't going to let me sit home waiting to sign for travelers checks and Wells Fargo will only send them to the house.
Bought a new carry-on bag, a pretty blue one with 4 wheels (the old blue one was falling apart) - I think it's one inch too tall, if the wheels don't count maybe I'll be good to go - I mean it said 'carry-on' on the tag, or do I just give the old carry-on one last hurrah, a thanks for the memories send off trip to WDW as it where?
Am I the only one who has these glitches?
Off to make lists and measure that carry-on one more time.

My dog signs for stuff all the time. Have you tried using bacon as a training tool? Dogs (and husbands) will do anything for bacon.

Of course I should have suspected something was up when I saw those "Bacon of the Month Club" boxes in the trash.... and all those pop up adds from Milkbone showing up on my browser. I finally had to draw the line and pull the plug on the internet when I found out about the Lassie Videos from Net flix. That darn dog had so many late fees it was ridiculous! He should have just purchased the darn videos!
