Picture doesn't do it justice. It's bright orange, not red - darn camera! And I replaced my yellow Aveo with this Chevy Sonic. Aveos are no longer available so I got the new Sonic. First one my dealer got and he knew I wanted yellow or orange so when the Aveo needed major maintenance to keep it going, I knew it was meant to be that I buy the Sonic instead of getting the Aveo fixed.

My son isn't a dessert eater (which is really wierd) and we are staying CL so we will get plenty of food there, and mostly we didn't want the hassle of figuring out when to use the dining plan and when to pay out of pocket. So, I'm thrilled to get the room discount.

Just got off the phone with Disney and saved $1235 on our YC CL room reservation. Woo Hoo - so excited!

Our last reservation had free dining, but I think we will save more with this room discount. My son isn't a dessert eater (which is really wierd) and we are staying CL so we will get plenty of food there, and mostly we didn't want the hassle of figuring out when to use the dining plan and when to pay out of pocket. So, I'm thrilled to get the room discount.

Now back to counting the days.

So, if you don't mind, how did you get this discount? Is it too soon to look for PIN codes or whatever for next August? I also just received in the mail a PIN code but it is only good for Dec - Mar. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This discount goes until next June. The best advice I have on how to get a discount is to watch the Dis Dscounts forum. http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=93

The past three trips I have found about all of our discounts from this area of the Disboards. Seems like Disers are the first to learn about the discounts and spread the good word.

I'm just excited that the discount was available at the Yacht Club.

Conventional wisdom holds that when staying at a Deluxe hotel you do come out ahead on a Room discount versus a discount on the dining plan.

If you are staying at a value I think it's a wash between the two discounts (food versus room).

So there ya go.

After a crappy day at work I stopped at a craft show on the way home and bought the best Christmas cookies. I bought a bunch and stashed some in the freezer, but we had a good sampling of them tonight. (some oh so good rum balls, for all the alcoholic dessert fans on the board.)

Earlier today my friend who crossed the border for some black Friday shopping brought me back a package of Cherry Hershey Kisses. We don't get those up here in the great white north, so I was soo excited to have some in my hands (and my belly).

And then I check the Disboards and find out about the discount and it is still available at the Yacht Club.


I may not be able to sleep tonight!

WOOHOO!!!!! Called Disney last evening and was able to get the 30% discount for our trip in April to the YC!! Saved almost $400 (room discount plus taxes) for our short 4 night stay! We already had the AAA discount, but Disney's new discount offer is better!

One word of warning...... in the process of changing the rate, the rep changed our reservation from GV CL to regular room standard view. I caught the problem (and she corrected it) when she reviewed the details with me. If you call to modify an existing reservation, be sure to have the rep review the details before you hang up.

Wish we could stay longer at those prices!

Good tip!! That actually happened to me last year when I changed the rate. They changed me from water view to standard view.

Just called in and got the new discounts applied to our BC CL stay! I saved $1,880!!!! OMG, I can't tell you how excited that made me...

We saved quite a bit as well!!! Changed my split stay to BC/GF BC saved me SO much over CR I am a happy girl

I read this yesterday PLUS DS, who is turning 21 on this next trip, told me that he wants to stay at the BC! So, with the NEW DISCOUNTS we can choose from the GV CL or the deluxe room.

WHICH ONE would you choose from?
Is there any pics on the other thread or anywhere to see of the deluxe rooms or gardenview room cl views and deluxe room layout?

We tried to apply the discount to our "on the way to the airport" overnight in April, but no luck. Even though we're staying on a night that BC/YC are advertised as 30% off, it won't work for that date. So we'll stay put at POFQ for the night - I was able to apply it there and we saved $2 and were upgraded to garden view - CM on the phone and I enjoyed a good laugh. And we'll be back to BC 10 months later, so that's OK!

I switched from FD to 30% off too...and getting 2 rooms....MUCH better discount. Kiddos don't like TS anyway, so it's all good

I had quite a time yesterday as well. First Cm told me (rather quickly) you won't be saving too much changing from FD to RO. Luckily I know to just call back...next CM applied the discount and it came up as Standard View CL....so I called back and fixed it back to GV...came VERY close to doing the LV...but I REALLY am trying to save $$$....really I am
