I don't know if anyone can answer this but here goes: I just changed my reservation last Thursday to a Deluxe Club level room ( at BC). Does anyone know when I might expect to hear from the IPO office? My trip is in May and I have a few dietary requests to make. Also, can someone tell me about the club level at BC? Thank you:)

Hi I'm hoping someone here will be able to answer my question:) Is it possible to request a toaster for the room? Just thinking if cape may is shut this summer the marketplace may be crazy at brealfast time and it would make life easier if I could toast bagels in the room for breakfast.
Thanks for any help. Love reading along on here:thumbsup2

luvpoohandcompany , if you would like a great breakfast you also have
the Captains Grille at the Yacht club and they are not usually very busy
first thing in the morning and they have great Buffet if interested :)
Enjoy your trip .

Happy to do it! Yes, our dates are April 10-14. POFQ first, then YC (might increase that YC time if they let up on the discount restrictions, but I won't hold my breath!) Please let me know if you have any other questions that you would like for me to investigate - I'm happy to ask CMs in addition to taking photos. :)

Thanks so much!

We skip B&C for the same reason - family member with peanut allergies. We went to the Beach Club Marketplace in December and they did not have French Meadow or Divvies. They did have items from a place called "OMG...it's gluten free." The label did not say peanut-free, but nothing with peanuts was listed. I contacted the company just to be sure it is safe and was told it was, and that the new labeling would state peanut-free as well. Of course, you know, we always double check each time, but this is what I was told when I contacted them in December. Hope this helps.

That's what I was reading on the Disabilities board re: the OMG brand. Do you think this is the company (it appears to be a local Chicago place, but I can't tell for sure)?

http://omgitsglutenfree.com/

If so, it states on the home page:
We are a 100% gluten free dine-in and carry-out cafe, serving the Chicagoland Southwest Suburbs and surrounding areas with a large assortment of delicious gluten free foods. In addition, all of our products are 100% peanut free and several items are dairy free, as well.

I looked at the nutritional info and didn't see tree nuts listed either, so hopefully that's the company.

I'm not sad to see the Divves cookies go, but I thought the French Meadow brownies were pretty good. Did you try the OMG brownies?

I think our two trips on ME to BC (July, 10 am), we stopped at POR, BWI, YC & BC (for some reason,

On our two trips to YC using ME, we did POR, BWI, BC then YC. I think both times the driver intentionally did YC last just to P___ me off since my DW and I were the only ones going to YC. But it still beat renting a car and paying to have it parked out in the lot all week. Probably 1 to 1.5 hr each time airport to lobby.

:rotfl: I swear, we had the same experience everytime we stayed at CR! And they torture us by driving past it without stopping! That was always WL, Poly, GF and finally CR.

I think you guys are right about the YC/BC DME bus going to POR also. I vaguely remember pulling in there, thinking how glad I was NOT to be staying there again :rolleyes1

Irregardless, we always get to MCO between 9am and 10am, and it has never taken us more than 90 minutes from gate to lobby, no matter how many places that stinkin' bus stops at first! :goodvibes

Welcome!! I can always tell when someone is from Up North, when I read about them using the pool during November/December :rotfl:

this little Cajun, would be WAY too cold to even consider doing that.

Enjoy your visit, you will LOVE BC.

I'm even further north (although our winters are probably milder than Michigan) and I remember a friend telling me about going to MK at Christmas in shorts and a tshirt and everyone else was bundled up with parkas and hats and mitts! It would SO be us in the pool... I have been on vacations in our province where the kids actually turned slightly blue in the pool. Still wouldn't come out though!!! :lmao:

Post 10: Club Level Info

I think people have varied experiences about when IPO got in touch with them. Since you have a concierge reservation, you can contact them using this info:

Contact Information:

PH: 407-934-1448
FX: 407-934-1487
Yacht.Beach.Club.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.com;

(PLEASE DON'T USE THIS INFORMATION IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CONFIRMED CONCIERGE RESERVATION)

PS- I don't know why there is a space between the o and the m in the email address. I can't seem to fix it. ARGH!

No worries, Dee - the link works fine.

I remember sometime last year, someone posted some SAB lifeguards bundled up while swimmers were in the pool!!

Thank goodness the pool there is heated......................I even need the heated water in JULY!!!

Yes. That's the company I contacted. They carry the brownies in the BC Marketplace. Personally, I liked the French Meadow better (I thought the OMG ones were drier), but I'm sure others would disagree. They were still good though. We always check for tree nuts too, as we don't consume those because of possible cross-contamination. In her email, the owner told me her bakery is 100% peanut/tree nut free. I'm happy to see options like these in the Beach Club Marketplace.

That was us at the Poly during December 2010 freak cold spell. It was nice having the pool all to ourselves, though!

I wonder if they might be in the market for a new nut free baker. There is a bakery near me that is completely nut free. I discovered them when trying to find something that I could bring to a friend's house because her son has a nut allergy (peanuts and tree nuts) and this place has fantastic cookies. Hubby loves them, and we don't have any allergies in our house, but I bought him some for Valentine's. If they need a new place to order from, I could refer them. They supply product to Whole Foods and several other grocers as well as some other local bakeries too.

I think we have a much better selection of generally available peanut free options in Canada. I have NO IDEA why that is, but I send a package of peanut free chocolate and other treats to a friend in Washington, D.C. who has a godchild with a peanut allergy. We have tons of Hershey and other mainstream products that have the peanut free logo on them.

Glad to see that the Marketplace offers some options!!!

Thank you, I called them and they are going to send a planning email. They were very nice. I am down to double digits and I can not wait to go.

BC-Club Category-Standard for 11/22-12/1.
This is our first time at BC, and first time in Club Category.
Just me and my DH, we will be 47&53 at the time. We'll be there for 9nts, will probably have 3 non park days just to relax at the pool and check out all the Xmas decorations at all the other resorts.

I love Thanksgiving at Disney!! We were at the pool everyday with our DGS. What a great time to visit!

I doubt they'd be looking to switch right now because they just recently made this change from who they were using for a few years. I think it's great that you are so thoughtful re: your friend's son. A lot of people don't get it.

We've got lots of options. Most Hershey's chocolate bars, the plain bars -- has to be regular size, not king or mini, are fine -- Hershey's Kisses, etc. are fine and they have good labeling practices, but I admit Canada is MUCH better about what they offer and about labeling. When we go on a trip, I always order the Vermont Nut Free Skippers (like M&Ms but better, IMO) to take with us. But I also like to have special treats that I can just get there without having to pack them. I like that the BC Marketplace carries them instead of having to be at the park to get those items.

Just got another PIN in the mail and when I put it in online, it looks like we can save even more than with our last PIN. I will be emailing my TA tomorrow!

We booked the same room as you did on 1/9 and got an email from IPO on 1/11. But our trip was within 70 days from then, so maybe that's why they got in touch with us so quickly.

There is GREAT CL info at the front of this thread!
