That's great news Teena, can't have enough of Castaway Cay. I bet they do a lot of "special" turkey on T-Day. Do they put up lights and holly on the island? Hope we can still catch you on our trip 11/29.

I'll be back on 11/27 and I'll be at work on Sunday and Monday (28th and 29th). Then this morning Bob said, let's do the 11 night Christmas cruise too. Done!!! That cruise leaves on 12/18 and then we get home on 12/29. I can't wait to see what they do for the holidays!

Lots of activities at the resorts, something going on every day with choral singing and characters. Santa arrives some time close to Christmas. I'm sure Teena can add a lot more.

For the last seven years, Santa has been in the lobby Christmas Eve usually from 5 PM to 8 PM.

The week before Christmas the characters are usually there every day for photo ops. And there are story tellers, choral singing, and other activities throughout the holiday season. Of course, our chocolate gingerbread carousel is not to be missed!

How fun!! Teena, you recommended the cruises to us when we saw you at BC in July, and I started doing a bit of research. We'll have all our cruise questions ready for when we see you in February!

Bob and I just booked the Disney Magic for a 7 night cruise. We'll be having Thanksgiving on board. Since Jeanne won't be home for the holiday and we can't go there, we figured the next best place to be is on the MAGIC!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays! You will have such a GREAT time. I've never been but at least DH said for our first cruise it will be a Disney one as he trusts them to do it right.

Teena have a wonderful Christmas cruise too. How terrific that will be 18 days of cruising in just over a month.

We have been on several cruises- I can't getmy husband on a Disney cruise- he said that there are too many little kids on board (our kids are all grown up and we don't have any grandchildren yet) Maybe we have to wait to have the grandkids before we go on a Disney cruise!!!!

We felt the same way before we took our first Disney cruise. We've cruised Holland America, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Silverseas, etc. Once we did Disney (we're retired - no kids or grandkids), the other cruise lines lost our business. Even on the Holland America cruise we took a few years ago, I don't think there were ten families with children but we saw the kids everywhere. At least with Disney, the adults have their own pool, their own entertainment and enrichment series, their own part of the private island and our own BBQ at the private island (and the adults get stuff at their BBQ that the families with children don't get - yummy). The only time we had to deal with lots of kids were at the shows but the shows are so awesome that it's worth dealing with the kids! If we ever get grandkids, I'll take them of course on a Disney cruise but the parents have to go too because I'm not giving up the adult pool and particularly the adult area of Castaway Cay!

A number of cruiselines have adult areas on their ships. Carnival has the Serenity area and most ships the aft pool is adults only and they do enforce it. Makes for an enjoyable time. Our first time enjoying an adults only section was on Princess about four years ago and everyone of our cruises since then has had it.

We are booked! 5 nights Lagoon View CL at Beach Club 12/18-12/23. Looks like I'll miss Teena who will be on her fabulous cruise!
Now to start filling in all the ADRs, plans, etc!

I just placed my order with Garden Grocer for our trip. Seems close now!

For the first time we added alcohol to the order. I never thought to ask if we needed to be present to accept this order! Does anyone know?

Thats good to know, at least I don't have to pick a date to go back right away- I have time to plan another vacation when I get home. Can't wait to go to my favorite place 90 more long days!!!

just left BC, there is no current bounceback offer for 2011. The only offer is for room through early Dec 2010. :headache:

Keeping my fingers crossed that a) the trial lasts until December and b) hot tea is available. :) Thanks for the info, Teena.

it was still going on this past week. they close at 10pm to cleam up the desserts and cordials then reopen at 10:30pm and were open all night. We came back from MNSSHP at midnight and it was open. They also got a beautiful cabinet to for the soda refrigerator that is now to the right of the door when you walk in the lounge which frees up more counter space.

9 days to go til we arrive at BC!!! :cool1: I started packing this morning, to try to get the kids' clothes done---since our weather has cooled down, I can finally pack those shorts!

A question for anyone who's there now or just back......what are the hours like for Storm-along-Bay in September? DD7 and DS2 can't wait to spend some time at the pool! :yay:

TIA
Cindy

Again, this week, it was 10am-10pm.

Hello:flower3:
2 weeks from tonight I am at YC! WOOHOO! Havent stayed YC CL since Ava's first trip!

OK to all the experts.....I KNOW I have seen photos of products in the stores as fas as drinks/food etc...but I am normally not a Gatorade drinker:rolleyes1 but I will be for the 1/2 WIne&DIne RuN..do they carry Gatorade?
Or can I expect some in CL?!:lmao:
Thanks for any info:)

As others have said, they only carry powerade and the flavors differ by the park. AK Only carries, the blue powerade, the CM said that is what sell best to that is what they offer. In MK and Epcot, they had red and orange only but all flavors were available in the Market place.

I think I can help! No Gatorade, but Powerade is available at most (if not all) resort gift shops/food courts and many stands/restaurants throughout the parks. Not in the Concierge lounges, though.

Bob and I just booked the Disney Magic for a 7 night cruise. We'll be having Thanksgiving on board. Since Jeanne won't be home for the holiday and we can't go there, we figured the next best place to be is on the MAGIC!

CONGRATS!!

For our regular order we didn't, they fropped it off at the hotel at 9am.

Hi everyone,

Sitting in Orlando airport waiting for our Jetblue Flight home after taking the "unmagical" Express here.

We had an amazing time at the BC CL the past 9 days. Even DH said we cant stay anywhere else from now on. :woohoo: We met Teena on Sunday and saw her again on Monday but unfortunately, had the ME at 910am today so we missed her. We were in room 5682 which overlooked the courtyard for the back entrance which we great, full balcony as well. We didn't use it much but loved having it to dry the bathing suits. The CL lounge was wonderful and as I posted above, they just got a new cabinet for the fridge. The offering were great for breakfast, snack and evening. They were different each night with quesadillas, chicken stewers, crab rongoons and more, plus the wonder desserts. I can't say enough good things about the CMs on Club level. One even made me a special Birthday pin that SOOO many people complimented me on. I will post a pic when we get home. We did have the deluxe dining plan but most did signature dining for dinner so we used all our credits. The food was wonderful everywhere but especially Yachtmens and Calfornia Grill where we ate twice each, (Thanks for the suggestion Teena). We tried the new Via Napoli in Italy, it was very good but took almost 2 hours for lunch, if you want relaxing lunch, this is the place for you. ;) We used SAB every afternoon due the heat and humidity. On Thursday they got in all NEW lounge chairs and regular chairs for the pool and deck area. They are blue mesh, very nice. I took pics and will post tomorrow. Our DD would do the Cotton Eye Joe and Cupid Shuffle with the life guards every day and the entertainment staff knew her by name. :rotfl2: IF you are celebrating a Birthday while at WDW/BC/YC, ask at the pool for their NEW birthday Tatoos. :cake: They are the ONLY property at WDW that has them and several managers at other properties asked me about it. Looks the same as the button. Almost no crowds except yesterday. We have the Give a Day fastpasses and hardly needed them.
It was the best family vacation ever and DD & I shed a tear as we left. I will be taking my mom for a girls only 70th bday trip in May so I am not too sad.
Any questions, please ask.
