I am just trying to catch up on the last few days!!! This thread is flying.

I was so sorry to ready this. Hope the rest of your trip was better?

Thank you. The rest of the trip was perfect. I'm going to call MS today to let them know about our problem at BWV.

Have fun on your trips, everybody! :cheer2:

I know this is a broad question but what are the major differences with YC and BC. We wanted a water view, 2 queen beds and a full balcony. As of right now the only request we have is the full balcony but I have a bit of anxiety about not getting one (it's a Grand Gathering with 2 rooms). I am thinking of switching to YC since they all have the full balconies...and then I'd have no special requests and nothing to worry about!

It was such a pleasure meeting you too. I'm so glad you had a super vacation and loved the BC. I'm glad you will return ... the sooner the better! We certainly get lots of comments about our beds ... people definitely love them. I personally think that any bed after walking all day long (probably 10+ miles) in 100 degrees would feel good but our guests do rave about ours.

That's so funny about the beds. We stayed at AKL a few nights before we moved to BC and the first night sleeping on the BC bed my oldest D said that the beds at the BC were so much more comfortable than AKL.

We loved everything about the BC and my youngest D said that the BC was the best hotel she ever stayed in. We travel a few times a year, plus she's in all-star cheerleading so we travel out of state for that too, so her telling me that the BC was the best hotel is really saying something form this little traveler!

This certainly is a friendly thread. I've enjoyed reading all the posts here. I changed my reservations a couple of days ago, switching to Beach Club from POR. This will be my family's first stay at BC, and first at a deluxe as well. We're really looking forward to it.

Was wondering if anyone has a link to a map of the hotel itself? I've seen the one that shows the two resorts connected with pool locations, beach, etc. But I would like to see a floor by floor view of the individual room locations and other areas inside. Part of my OCD nature I suppose. I would really appreciate any help. Keep up the good work!!:goodvibes

Does anyone know how many CL rooms there are at the BC and how many at the YC?

The only map like that of which I am aware is very outdated, and Teena (as well as other posters on here) has said the room categories, locations and sizes are no longer correct. As far as I know there isn't anything else like that out there. Hopefully I am wrong!

I know most of the people at the first DIS meet are home. Where are the pictures of the meet? Although everybody that was there had their families with them, only the real Disers are in the pictures that were taken. Otherwise the picture would have had about 50+ people in it.

One thing that was so great was lots of the older children or let's say younger adults met other Disers' offspring at the meet and started hanging around and doing the late nights at the parks together. We all came out of the meet with new friendships formed.

We didn't bring our camera to the meet--but, I have the photo of us on Wed night. It turned out really cute!

Can you guys give me any info on the Cape May character breakfast? How's the food? We arrive early on 12/12 so I figured before we could even think about checking in we should grab some breakfast!

Also, dumb question but our flight arrives at MCO at 9:30.. so taking into consideration travel time on ME, what time do you think I should make the reservation for? Thanks soooo much for any help you can give me!

I think I have read on here that worse case scenario 2 hours from landing.
When I went 4 yrs ago it was more like 1 1/2 from the time we landed until we got to the BC.

We loved the Cape May Character breakfast it was one of the highlights of our trip. I am bummed I don't have reservations for my upcoming trip in September. I don't think you'll be able to do on your arrival day since it looks like they only serve breakfast until 11am. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I probably wouldn't try for that day either (or at least not for breakfast). For me, an early ADR almost always guarantees a flight delay :rolleyes1

We arrived on Sunday at 4:45pm MCO we went straight to ME and arrives at the beach club at 6:15. *We had dinner res at CM. We had to request a different room so just in time for 7pm res.

The food is great at Cape May both breakfast and dinner. If it was me I wouldn't take the chance on making that first day for the breakfast. I would be at the airport freaking out about missing my Mickey waffles. ;)

This actually answers a question I had...we're arriving on a Thursday at 4:45, and we have an ADR at Les Chefs de France at 7:40. I guess that should be enough time for us to make it.

We're also planning on breakfast at Cape May on our last morning...was asking earlier in this thread if everyone likes it. Glad to hear some comments about it. Seems like a good choice!

I just had to share.....I am so glad to finally have our postponed Mom and Son trip on the front burner again!! WE ARE BOOKED for February 5-11 at the BEACH CLUB Garden View!! :cool1: It feels really good to finally be able to plan and have a trip to look forward to after having to cancel this August's trip. :goodvibes

I am usually a club level gal, but I could not justify the extra $500.00 it was going to cost us to stay club level. With online dining reservations now available, the ultra-eager planner in me can now do myself what the IPO would do with booking my dining.

I paid a little extra to guarantee a nice garden view, so I won't have to look at a parking lot/roof top and I booked us Deluxe Dining to make up for not having access to the club level. I figured the 2 snacks/ day plus 3 meals more than makes up for club access! I will be booking 2 nights club level when we move over to Universal Studios at Portofino Bay (for our last 2 days Feb 11/12....gotta see WWOHP! ;))

I am excited to be trying a new resort, and I really think my son will love the pool at BC, as well as easy access to his 2 favourite parks! (EPCOT & DHS)

I hope to see you Teena when we check-in and come say HI to our famous friend! :lovestruc After seeing a picture of you, I think I remember seeing you in September, 2009 when we where there for our Cape May dinner. I was too shy to come introduce myself then....but this time I will be sure to come see you!!!
A final plus is I'll be celebrating my birthday in the most wonderful place on earth!

I'm Soooooo Excited to experience the BEACH CLUB and it's coming up in ONLY 6 months :cool1: :cloud9:

Marie :flower3: (Guess I can finally change my ticker!)
