Pixarmom has been keeping a list of DISers who are staying at YC/BC/BCV in February and March. Could you post the list you have when you get a chance?

Anyone want to take over for one or more of the other months?

About once a week, the list will be posted, along with a request to see if anyone wants to be added to the list for the month. I can't find a copy of a recent one, but it lists dates of trip, resort (YC/BC/BCV) and your screenname.

It is a friendly way to see when other DISers will be there at the same time as you! Maybe you will even run into them and have a chance to say hello (that was one of the main reasons the pins came about)

A warm welcome to all of the new posters to this thread from me, too!

In case you have not seen the first page of the thread, I wanted to let you all know about the Y&BC pins we have- free for the asking! One per family, please.

There is still time to request a pin if your trip is in February or March, BUT due to Teena's travel schedule, your request must be received by February 4. As indicated below, PM TeenaS with your checkin info.

Are you staying at the Yacht or Beach Club or the Beach Club Villas and want to meet or be recognized by other DIS'ers? Thanks to a wonderful design from RustManFan of the Creative Designs Forum, and the enthusiasm of DIS'er Janloz, we now have fashionable pins available upon request and free of charge!




If you would like to request one, please PM TeenaS at least one month prior to your visit to the YC/BC/BCV, providing the name on your reservation, resort and your arrival date. Your pin will be available for pick-up during your trip at the Beach Club front desk if you are staying at BC or BCV or at the Yacht Club front desk if you are staying there. Please tell the person at the front desk that a friend has left an envelope for you. Do NOT say that Teena left an envelope for you! This is the only option for pickup and since this is a volunteer project, we regret that we are unable to mail a pin to you prior to your stay.

Due to the limited quantities available, we must limit requests to 1 pin per family so everyone who wants one will have the opportunity to get one. [/SIZE]

This is great! Since we're not going until August, could you possibly post this monthly so I remember?

The message about the Pins is always up on the front page of this thread. I believe Teena keeps a spreadsheet at home and she prefers the info in advance if possible, so I think you can contact her now- Teena, please correct me if this is too soon for the request!

I think she is working today, so we probably won't hear from her until tonight.

On my way into work. But yes, you can send me requests for the pins any time for any months ... I keep a steno book with all the months in it (nothing fancy like a spreadsheet ... it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks).

OMG this old dog is right with you! My kids always laugh at me because I have notebooks for everything! Of course, many years ago, I actually WAS a stenographer. Now nobody even knows what that was!!!

Teena - I definitely want a pin. We'll be arriving at BC July 15!!!

Both of my parents were Stenographers and they taught me how, way back when but I can't tell you how many trials I sat in over the summer months.....

p.s. wondering the best way(fastest) to walk to DHS from BC. It sounds like I head out the YC way toward the Boardwalk and catch the path. Someone suggested a quicker route going to BW & cutting through the clown pool area to the path. Or cutting through luna park and picking up the walkway on the backside of luna park. Guest Services could probably show me on a map when I get there.

Another DISser posted this map some time ago. If you scroll down, he has distances listed. His path takes you by the BW pool. It does look shorter to me than walking by the YC but not by a lot???

I just booked our 2011 trip and are so happy that this year the Beach Club was available for us. Last year it was totally booked so we were majorly disappointed not to be able to stay at our favourite resort...we even missed seeing you when we arrived just minutes after you had left for the day

Anyway, I would love it if you could please put aside a couple of pins for Susan and me (we each have our own rooms) which will be a big surprise for her. We are arriving Monday, November 7th and already we are so excited!!!
