2010 WDW Resort Packages Watch!

They should be released in a couple of weeks, right? I am watching and waiting.

I just called today to modify our room only & asked when I'd be able to add dining/tix as a package. The CM said she was under the impression that the 2010 rates were going to be released today, but there aren't out as of yet. She said to try calling back later today & if nothing yet, she thought by Wed they would be out. So that's the info I got today, take it for what it's worth..... Fingers crossed that the info will be out soon

How important is it to book the day the rates are released? I just applied for a Disney Visa and want to use it to get the points, etc. We are planning to go in June 2010.....If I wait a few weeks will the resorts be booked? Do you pay in full when you reserve or just put down a deposit? This way I could put the balance on my Disney Card when it comes in... TIA!!

I think it's only important if your going early in the year. We're going in May, but I want to book as soon as I can, just for excitements sake.

You wouldn't need to reserve the day the rates are released. It won't fill up that fast. You have to put a $200 deposit when you book. The balance has to be paid a couple months before you actually go. We usually go the first week of March and I book in August.

We can't go until Thanksgiving 2010, but I want to make my reservation!

We aren't going until December 2010, but plan on booking as soon as the package rates come out.

We are planning a June 2010 as well for our DS13 and his BF13's 8th grade graduation trip. Man I hope the new rates come out soon. I know that in the past it has always been around the 2nd week in August. Wish we all could get some pixie dust to release them sooner. Happy planning everyone.

Just room prices. The 4/3 was released November 6th last year. My DH and I are planning an anniversary trip for January/early February so I'm itching to get not only the base price, but especially the deals!

would love to know what the promotional offers/discounts will be for January 2010...I know we'll probably have to wait until well into the Fall, but wouldn't it be nice if they started rolling the offers out earlier?

There were good promos in January 2009...hoping for repeats or even better ones since the economy is still not all that...

We're also waiting to book 2010!!! Port Orleans Riverside June 2th-10th to be exact. The waiting is just horrible!!

We're waiting on 2010 rates too, but definitively more nervous about any potential deals for February. The free dining deal was/is basically available for the entire second half of 09 ... I can't see Disney continuing this into 2010, too. Hopefully they will have something - 4/3? 40% off? For me, Disney seems much more magical when I pay less for the family!

I'm not in a dither to see what the 2010 regular rates and packages are. I'm more interested in finding out what kinds of discounts may be offered in January! I want to save some moolah so I can spend more moolah on fun stuff at WDW! : )

Man I would love to see the free dining offer in January! The 4/3 would be fine and dandy, but we are staying for 9 days so it wouldn't be as beneficial as the free dining....even if it were QSDP. Please, please, please.....Free dining gods!

I will probably just have to wait a while to get that information won't I!!!

My guess is that they won't release new deals for 2010 to early, because they want people to book for the end of this year...they have the free dining thing going on until Dec, so they'll want people to jump on that for 2009 and not put the trip off until 2010. But hopefully, they won't wait till November to give us a deal, 2008 I got a pin in early October. Hoping for free dining too. DD12 doesn't eat like an adult, so it pains me to pay full adult price at buffets for her mac and cheese. But we love the buffet restaurants, like Biergarten and Crystal Palace, so it sure would be nice to get to go without having to limit our budget for just one buffet. Here's hoping!
