2010 point charts

Does anyone know approximately when the 2010 point charts come out for the Disney resort collection? I want to book right at 11 months out for the Grand Floridian but member services said we can't book until the 2010 points come out. Just wondering how long I'll have to wait and member services said they didn't know. Thanks!

I am not sure but I would not use my points on GF because you don't get the bang for your buck, IMHO.
I love the GF, though.

I usually wouldn't use the points at a non DVC resort, but we are in a situation where we have to. We converted our points into a Disney cruise and then my husband decided he wanted to do another vacation instead so he canceled the cruise. What a waste of points, I was really upset but that's beside the point. Anyway now the "cruise" points can't be used at a DVC resort and since I've always wanted to stay at the Grand Floridian I figure I may as well stay there since we have to use the points or lose them. I'm just such a planner that I want to book asap. Does anyone know also if it is hard to use your points to get into the Grand Floridian if it's not right at the 11 month mark?

Since from the Grand Floridian's perspective it's essentially a cash reservation, I don't think calling right at 11 months will be that critical (unless you think the GF is in danger of being completely booked up - not likely anytime soon). You should be fine!

The 2010 non-DVC point options don't normally come out until summer - June/July. This typically happens after the cash rates are published for the coming year and then after DVC negotiates the point requirements with Resorts. They should be available within the next couple of months and you should still be able to reserve the non-DVC options without much problem.
