2010 Mug Change?

Just wondering if they have a new mug for 2010 and what it looks like

No....it hasn't been a full year yet since the first version of the red one came out. The YOAMD mugs were around for almost 2 years so I wouldn't even expect to see anything new for another year. Plus, they are still using the 'what will you celebrate?' line.

That's the main reason why I don't see them getting a new mug design for this year, so I guess we need to wait for 2011 to see if they will have a new one.

I have a feeling that somewhere along the line the mugs will stay the same for a really long time...like several years.

I have to say I really like the current ones...I've been off work for 2 weeks and have been using mine at home everyday.

I like them too...I do like the design of this year's compared to YOAMD...Not as much as the first AK Mara Mug...We got those in when AKL first openned in 2001 and they hold a lot of liquid...The ones since then are smaller inside but still cute!

I highly doubt that Disney will change the current mug design anytime soon. Mug designs typically follow with the promotion or promotion-type event that Disney is celebrating (Year of a Million Dreams, Celebrate). Because the promotion Give A Day Get A Disney Day doesn't really fit into the same catagory, I wouldn't expect a mug change.

when the ones came out after the year of a million dreams..We got those Last May.......then when we went in September they changed the style but not the color ....The new ones are all the way down where as last Mays had white on the bottom.......so within 6 months they did change....I like them all.......All 22 of them......

That change occured in a really short period of time. The ones with the white bottom came out in February and then they changed to the current ones only a couple of months later...most likely you just missed the newer style in May.

Even if they do come out with a new mug design for 2010 the resort counter service locations can not start selling them until last years design has been sold out. Last year wasn't there a thing where some resorts were selling the old design and others were selling the new design?

We have gone at the end of Jan/ beginning of Feb for the past 6 years and the new mugs are never out. They usually don't come out until closer to summer.

Free refills, but only at your resort, not in the parks. And only on soda, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. No milk, no juice.

With the Deluxe and Quick Service Dining Plans, each person gets a mug. No mug w/ the regular Dining plan. They are available for purchase to anyone at each resort. I believe the price is 12.99, unless it has gone up.

Every person listed on the DDP gets one with both the counter service plan and the DxDDP.

Yes. When we were there in February for President's Day weekend the All-Star resorts, GF, and Poly had switched to the Celebrate design while CR, BW, & BC still had the YOAMD design. I got one of each design that trip.

that actually makes since! splurge for the deluxe plan so you get free drinks, and since a lot of ppl get the regular dining they splurge for a mug!! I think we will buy at least 2
