2010 Marathon Weekend Program PDF available :)

Thanks, Diane! I've been looking every day, and hadn't seen it yet. You win the prize for first spotting it!

Thanks for the heads up Diane. Why oh why won't they post the Corral Assignments? It's driving me crazy.....

5 waves for the half and 3 for the Marathon? Wow.

5 waves for the half and 3 for the Marathon? Wow.

40 minutes from start of 1st and last wave. Leaders will almost finish the race before the last runner crosses the starting line:sad2:

I guess that is better than the 20 minutes it took me to get to the start line after the gun went off(now waves back than).

I am in the book!

Cool I can hardly wait to get the hard copy.....

OK I know several other perfect Goofies are also.

Congrats to all the Perfect Goofy people!!!!!

I haven't been able to print the booklet yet, but couldn't see in there how you can tell what wave you are in?

Am I missing something???

Kim

Officially you will not know your corral /wave until your pick up your packet and look at the bib. Now if Robert's source comes through again this year we may know something. You can figure out a rough idea from last year's corral placements.

I am the same way. Told Linda I am famous now. Only way I will ever make the program :)

You're photogenic enough to possible get in a photo ----- ASI forces me to pay a surcharge just to look at proofs so theycan replace equipment broken from attempting to photgraph me :upsidedow

Diane thanks for posting! It was such fun reading through that. Looks like I may be starting the race at 6:20am (my bib is 51-something so I'm guessing I'm in the last group). Long wait at the start, I'm going to be so antsy.

You know I was hoping to meet you in January and say thanks in person for all the help you've given me....but now I'm not so sure.... :scared: ;)

With all these waves your time does not start until you cross the starting line right?

Linda

Correct your time starts once you cross the start line. It is controlled by the DTag that will be attached to you bib. You remove that tag from the back of the bib and loop it through your shoe strings. There will be videos at the expo as well as several on line. It's simple you loop it, then remove a small tabe protecting a sticky area and stick that sticky area to the opposite end of the tag. The tag will form a D once installed.

In chip (or tag) timed races it is important to have a stop watch functionwith you so you can get an idea of how you are pacing. If you are in the 3 or 4th wave the clock time could well be 20-30 minutes ahead of your time.

Hope this helps.

Also for those who may worry about the seewpers, the sweeper time starts as the last runner crosses the start. A 16 minute pace from that time must be kept.
