Right there with you Zip....!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Won't be long!

Personally, I think I'm most looking forward to O'hana and Boma-for whatever reason, they're my two favorites, even though I know other places have better food. Just love the atmosphere!!

What's everybody else looking forward to most???

I am an odd one and love Chef Mickey's and 50s Primetime. But I am mostly looking forward to trying all the different desserts. I haven't been to WDW since 2006 and during that time the basic dining plan included appetizers so by the time I ate my own appetizer and entree, I was too full to eat the fancy desserts. I always ended up with sorbet or something light. This time I will have enough room for all the yummy desserts I didn't get to try before. :goodvibes

I'm sure this is posted in another thread but does anyone know the cancelation policy for Free Dining?

I know you have to book by Aug 14th and I'm assuming, pay in full 45 days before the trip.

We're looking to go in Oct: 22-26 but I'm going with a group of friends (we were all former CMs together) but 2 are unsure of their plans so if we book a room for 4 at a moderate and 2 can't go, are we able to cancel them off without having to pay if it's before or during the 45 day period?
We were also thinking of doing 2 rooms at Pop, 2 girls per room.
If only one girl can go, are we able to add them on after Aug 14th?

Sorry for the confusion but if anyone has an easy answer without me having to go through the phone, that would be great!

Ok so for your first question, you can cancel before the 45 day balance due date and not have any penalty. What I would do is not pay anything but the deposit until the final due date. I'm not sure what they do if you've payed more than that, but the deposit is fully refundable. So if you book 2 rooms you'll get one deposit back if they cancel. If it's four in one room, nothing would change but the balance. For you second question.. I'm pretty positive she could not get the promo after Aug 14. Since everyone in one room must be on the same package, I don't know how that would work. If there's a chance she's going, I would add her to the ressie before Aug 14 and then make sure you get a definate answer before the 45 day mark. Hope this helps

yes thanks so much!!!!

I'm not sure how we are going to communicate this to the other 2. They are waiting on possible job offers and if they do get jobs, would they be able to get time off that soon even though it's a long weekend or if they don't get jobs are they going to have the $ to go. It's a little crazy and hopefully we will figure it out soon!!

Question.....
My trip is fast approaching now and is only 27 days before we leave. My question is, how exactly do I go about getting a refund for the Hoop Dee Doo and Spirit of Aloha Show which I booked (and had to pay in advance for) when I first made my ADRs? Anybody know?

Call the ADR line and cancel them. They should refund you with in a few days or so.

This actually will most likely not work. Usually the reservation line will have to cancel the original reservation and then rebook it, meaning the PP would have a good chance at not having one at all. So, if they still want to attend these two ADRs, this would not be the best way to do it. Even if they did have more openings, I doubt at this point in the game they would be for the same shows/categories.

The best and safest way to get your refunds is to wait until the day of the show. Then you can tell them that you will be using credits and would like your card refunded. This way, you don't have to worry about losing your reservation.

Do you do this when you arrive at the show or when you leave? I haven't encountered this before so I just want to make sure I do it right.

You don't have to cancel anything. Just call Disney reservations and tell them you are now on the DDP and had already previously paid for the HDDR and Luau. They will just refund your money. It usually takes one billing cycle to see the credit back on your statement. We did this one time with CRT and it was not issue and we did not have to cancel, rebook or anything else.

While we have had a few people say this can be done, we have had a LOT more come on the boards and say it wasn't possible. This includes people who have spoken to dining CM supervisors. The PP can call and see if it will work, but if not she now has the information as to what to do.

You would want to do it before the show, so be sure to arrive early.

Really? I've never seen anyone post that they had any trouble getting a refund for HDDR or the Luau after booking the DDP. I've seen a couple of people complain that it took longer than one billing cycle to get the credit, but that's it. Oh well, I guess the pp will just have to call and see what they tell her. Hopefully, she will post and let us know what happens.

I'm mostly finding information with CRT, but I know I have seen issues with HDDR and the Luau before as well.

There were also others that I found, but wanted to just give an idea!

I switched from prepaid to DDP with no problem with CRT. I just called the 407-WDW-DINE and explained that I was charged but that I'm on the dining plan. They had to transfer me to a specialist, I think, but it was quick and easy. I still have the same confirmation number and my refund came through promptly.
