2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

I booked 2 rooms at POP and paid 2 separate $200 deposits.


Disney phone lines open at 6 am est. For our trip in December last year, I started calling at 5:58 cst. The call at 6:00, as the computer jumped to 6, the call went through and I was immediately talking to a cm.

We called at 6:50 am this morning and the lines were not open. We got through at 7:00am.

quick question all, if we booked with CAA, can we change our booking to get FD with our previously booked vaca through CM or do we have to go through our TA

I made two calls just a few minutes ago trying to get used to all the prompts so that I can be quick tomorrow. One CM was kind of abrupt and when I asked when FD would be open to the public she said she didn't know then silence. I said good bye. I called again and the very helpful CM looked it up and read off of a paper that it will be available tomorrow.

Got a quick question about the admission requirement of the FD ,that hopefully will come out tomorrow. If I go ahead and get the 2 day minimum pass requirement for the FD, I can always call and add more days later,right? Just as long as it's before my final payment. But I can't subtract admission days once they are added, either before or after, right?
I hopefully will be able to get the FD at my resort of choice tomorrow, but haven't quite decided how many days of park admission we would like yet. Thanks for the help!

You can add more later. We just did this yesterday. We had a one day ticket and went to a 10 day. I'm not sure about taking days off the pass after. I would think you could do that as long as you keep the 2 days. We also got Pop yesterday for the dates of 9/24 to 10/3 for the free dining visa promo. I'm sure people wanting pop will get it.

We origianlly had bounceback offer with the fd but decied we wanted the qsdp instead. We are paying out of pocket for 3 ts meals but one of those is rainforeset cafe. Which is not on the dining plan anyway.

Yes or you can even wait until you check in and add them then....that is what we normally do by check in we have are plans of where and when we are going to what parks and just go to guest services and upgrade our tickets

Where currently have a Jr. Suite at CSR. Which we love CSR but we are really wanting Pop when we downgrade.

Thank you for the info. We are hoping for Pop Century tomorrow. But our second choice would be AS Movies followed by ASMusic . We are going August 21st thru August 28th with a stop in the Clearwater/Largo area, the week before at a relatives home.We already have a reservation at Pop now , because we were going anyway. I just put 2 days admission on the ressie today, so hopefully it will be easier to just add a FD code.( we will add admission days as soon as I can settle on how many to get ) I was even looking into going to the Hilton over by DTD, and going offsite for meals. We will see how it goes tomorrow with FD. Sending good wishes to all! Hope we will all be happy and satisfied with our choices tomorrow!

Someone a few pages back, or maybe on the other free dining thread said to call the # then everytime they start to talk hit "0", I had to hit "0" 4 times then it said they were having technical difficulty and I was put through after just having to listen to the "take a survey" blurb. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

You cannot add Free Dining yourself. Your TA is the only one who can add it to your package.
Just wanted to add...to add Free Dining to your existing reservation, you must have a package booked (room + tickets).

thanks for the head's up. I'm almost relieved because I haven't decided what accommodations I want yet. I keep going back and forth between ASFS and Fort wilderness cabins. I suppose disney will decide for me when I check for availability.

Tons of that you will get what you want, but have you considered a 3rd option in case both of those are booked? I think I may have read (it's all become a blur!) in one of the threads that someone tried to get ASFS and there was no availibility.....

I wonder if they release more rooms everyday...like a quota of sorts.
Say they have 50 rooms at ___ resort(SPECULATING) to release for the promo and they released 20 rooms the first day 10 the next and 10 more the next until all the rooms for the promo are gone...again JUST SPECULATING.

Congrats by the way Katiebear. We LOVE POR!! We usually stay there but this year we decided to surprise the kids with CBR-Pirates...They think we are going in September(per usual) but they don't know for sure and we tell them we are not sure we can afford it...which they don't believe...Don't we know money grows on trees

I wonder how that works, too. When I called yesterday morning and the CM told me there weren't any rooms available, she said to try back last night (which I was unable to do). She said sometimes people reserve multiple rooms then cancel. I was wondering why anyone would book a FD room then cancel when it was just released.

Thanks! We are very excited! It is our kids first trip! Neither DH or I have been since we were children. I wanted to check out CBR, but when MIL wanted to come we booked POR because of the extra bed. I hope you are able to go!

I can see some groups booking different reservations and then consulting with the rest of the travel group as to which one they should keep, then cancelling the other(s). It would be a pain because they would have to put down deposits on each reservation, but it could be done.

You might just be able to take care of it all at the online check-in desk; it doesn't hurt to ask! They were very helpful to us.

Oh we are going but the kids think we are not...They think we will be going to Cali to visit my DB who may come and surprise them there too. Can't wait! Trying to decide if we will go to Cali next year or WDW again but we ARE booking the BB if offered.
