I am curious why this isnt being promoted anywhere on any website..its not on disneyrewards.com am I missing something as to why disney or DV havent put this out yet

I have confirmation it's being worked on for placement and update on the DIS parent site: wdwinfo.com

And I suspect that it will be everywhere by this afternoon as usual.. The DVISA site is notoriously slow at getting these things up and ditto the Disney site..

Just FYI.. :)

:thanks:

Thank You CanadianGuy for starting this thread and all other DISers!

I have been away from the boards for over 2 years because I had no trips planned. But when my DS asked me to help him plan a trip I knew exactly where to go!

:disrocks:

Got so excited this morning at 7:43 that I forgot to post that I got FD for the 12th thru 23rd of Sept. at the POFQ! Took about 25 minutes to get through but well worth it. Saves us almost 900 dollars!!!!

sigh, just went into my microsoft notepad and made a duplicate copy of my vacation without regular dining.............just can't make myself delete the regular dining yet

Yes, & and folks are saying it's a 2 or 3 day ticket requirement. I booked bounceback last year & had to buy a 1 day ticket. I can deal with a one day ticket, but 2 or 3 is getting a little pricey!!! :confused3

That would be too much for us!

For those of you who have called this morning to add the Free Dining Promo to an existing reservation, have you received any confirmation yet?

When I called to add the promo an hour ago, I think the CM said she was going to print it out and mail it, but I guess I was expecting an email? Also - when I pull-up my Resort Reservation online, I still do not see any mention of a Dining Plan anywhere. I'm sure it's just a "timing" thing, but was wondering what everyone else is seeing?:confused3

I already had dining on my ressie (that I was paying for just in case FD didn't come out). I haven't received a confirmation email yet but when I check online =it shows my $900.00 savings.

It is confirmed 3 night minimum with a 2 day base ticket minimum per guest.

Has anyone heard anything about it not applying to suites? If so does that mean it won't apply to the 2 Bedroom Villas?

I was on and off the phone this morning by ~725 est. :cool1: I recieved my email @845. Don't worry yet, I'm sure it's coming. YAY!!

Can someone clarify something for me please since I keep reading conflicting information?! Do you only have to use the DisneyVisa for the down payment, or do you have to pay for the entire trip with it? Thanks for your help!

Wahoo!
Called at 6:30 CST Got through at 7.
Booked standard room at POP 9/6-9/13.
Paid just over $1400 for two adults and a 1 year old with 6 day park hopper and upgrade to regular dining.

Let the countdown begin! I'm so relieved, I don't think we would have been able to go this year if we couldn't get FD.

I just called to get a quote because I have a detail to work out (I have to beg and plead my sister to take care of my 94 year old grandmother so my mother, daughter and I can take a cruise/WDW vacation this weekend). She said that if I were to book this deal, I would have to do it NOW since everything was filling up rapidly. After a good 20 minutes on the phone, my mother searching for my disney visa (I wasn't planning on making a reservation!!!), having to get it re-activated, I got it! Sept 30th-Oct 3rd (post cruise) 2 day park ticket no park hopper, water parks, and dining for all 4 of us (a friend of Mom's is going too, it is like my daughter's second grandmother) for $1267!!!!!!!!! I saved over $1,000 :faint:

Just curious......I have a resort reservation booked because we are going anyway, and am waiting for Monday to book FD (hopefully!). Is there any benefit to using a travel agent? Or anything you lose from using one? I've always gone straight through Disney. Would it be worth it to book through a travel agent today or tomorrow to have them switch me over to FD Monday without me having to worry about it?

Thanks!

:cool1::cool1:OH YEAH!!! My TA just added the FD code to our ressie and now we're ready to enjoy 14 nights at POR Aug 31 - Sep 14 with free grub!!!:woohoo:

Let this be a lesson to all: when I was almost ready to lose faith in WDW, the Mouse came up in the bottom of the ninth and delivered a game-winning home run! Thank you Mickey, and thank you to all who helped with our plans. Canadian Guy, you rock! If you said today that it will rain pancakes from the sky tomorrow, I'm going to the store and stocking up on maple syrup!:worship:

They only took the down payment $200 deposit that is fully refundable for 45 days before I believe

I asked the CM this when I booked and she said just the deposit has to go on the DV, the balance can be paid however you want.

I'll be there Sept. 2 - Sept. 9. Staying at Pop. Let's meet up!

I'm thinking Tues 9/7 - parks are all closed @ 9PM so we were going to watch the MK fireworks & go back to Pop. Maybe a drink at the pool? We should be back by 10PM.

I am EXTREMELY happy today and am having a hard time focusing at work! I am so happy for us DVisa holders that are getting our FD ressies all situated! And I want to say to those in Canada, and those who don't have a DVisa card that I know how you feel. But, now that FD came out for DVisa card holders, at least you know it's coming!!!!! Sorry that we are "gloating" but we are very happy. I promise to check back in on Monday to listen to each and every one of you with your excitement that you got your free dining too!

Lastly, and most importantly.....

THANK YOU KNOX! WOULDN'T BE HERE TODAY WITHOUT YOU. YOU TOLD US IT WOULD BE TODAY, YOU KEPT US CALM, YOU KEPT OUR HOPES UP, YOU REASSURED THOSE WITH DOUBTS, AND KEPT THIS BOARD A "HAPPY" PLACE TO BE (unlike other boards.......). YOU ROCK! :worship: And the offer for you to use my DVisa is still out there.....LOL

I called earlier during the week to add a night to our bounceback offer. I got my e-mail the following day. Sometimes it just takes a while. I called later in the afternoon about 2pm eastern time. Hope that helps some.
