well if it helps you any, I just called back to doublke check (nervous nellie, lol). She read me my reservation and it is all correct. She said the email confirmation hasn't gone out yet -- must be a delay in the system, not automatically instant like we'd think.

Anyway, all is well on my reservation. Just doesn't show dining on the online page, for some silly reason, lol.

I'm pretty sure everything is just fine - the CM read me back the details of my reservation while we were on the phone.

But I just tried to book a dining reservation for HoopDeDoo with my Resort Reservation associated, and it still was going to charge me payment in full. Usually when you have a Dining Package associated with your reservation, they do not charge you. I think I will call to be sure.

so......how about FD after 10/2 through x-mas?

**DUCKS**

I may drop the second ressie if it doesn't happen! Then again......I can already hear the kids: "I WANNA GO CLOSER TO HALLOWEEN!"

:rotfl2:

Me too, I need late October early November...hope something comes up.

So excited!!! I got through with no wait at all (and even the automated system was a lot quicker than in the past) and got free dining for POR from 9/24 to 10/2! :yay:

Thank you to the Disboards! :cool1: The CM was funny, he said "good for you, keeping right on top of the discounts." I told him I check the boards religiously! I'm kind of bummed that they required a 2 day ticket, but what can you do? At least we can save those for another trip as we have GAD passes that we are going to upgrade.

Now what am I going to do to pass the time until September?

After answering questions, I expected to be on hold for a while. Right after "your call may be monitored" a cast member picked up. Probably within 2 minutes of me dialing the number, I was speaking with a reservationist. Booked two rooms at Coronado Springs for Sept 18th-25th.

We had trouble booking in the past... I think they do not set aside many rooms as it is a convention center they get much more money from business and they don't want to many FD's when they can get business people in there for much more money and no FD....

We tired to book CSR a few weeks ago for just a regular stay and most of Sept was already booked up. So I think the only ones benefiting for FD at CSR are those that were lucky enough to get reservations before today.

There are a large number of rooms blocked for conventions on select dates. If you can work around those.. there is availability.

Additional rooms *may* open up at CSR after the conventions booking windows close.

how awesome for you! congrats! :thumbsup2 We tried again for CSR but they had nothing. Oh well, POR here we come! Never stayed there before but I'm sure it will be great!

:grouphug:

I hope so. We will know for sure on Monday..:surfweb:

:grouphug:

I will try hard not to worry. We LOVE POP.
I called DH at work and told him I was afraid POP would be sold out on Monday. He said "1. I took Monday morning off to help you so you wouldn't jump off the roof. :rolleyes1 and #2 if POP sells out we will stay at another Value..not a big deal..we will still be at Disney...you will still have Free Dining...it's all good!" I love:lovestruc my DH. :lovestruc

Awww...that is so sweet of him. Mine still doesn't know what the heck I'm talking about when I say Free Dining and why it is so important to get it:)

Question for Visa holders, when you get your bill do they differentiate between your vacation and other charges since you have 6 months no interest on the vacation :confused3

I got free dining! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes For our family of 5 (with one under 10), we saved $1080 on our total. Now I can start crossing my fingers for free dining for our December trip, too!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

For those of you who have called this morning to add the Free Dining Promo to an existing reservation, have you received any confirmation yet?

When I called to add the promo an hour ago, I think the CM said she was going to print it out and mail it, but I guess I was expecting an email? Also - when I pull-up my Resort Reservation online, I still do not see any mention of a Dining Plan anywhere. I'm sure it's just a "timing" thing, but was wondering what everyone else is seeing?:confused3
I called at 7:00 sharp, and got my email confirmation at 8:07a. It shows TS.

I haven't received my email confirmation yet, been about an hour since I called. But I did go to WWW website and put in reservation #, it has resort info & ticket info but nothing about my FD. Anyone know if that is normal and about how long does it take to get the email? TIA! :)

I learned that the emails don't go out automatically following every call. A CM explained that they're sent out in batches at various times during the day. Which means that you may get it a few minutes or a few hours. I had the same anxiety when I applied my 40% off pin so I hope this puts your mind at ease.

I am curious why this isnt being promoted anywhere on any website..its not on disneyrewards.com am I missing something as to why disney or DV havent put this out yet

Because they are slow! :rotfl:

DIS always knows first. ;)

I am right there with many of you hoping the room I want for the dates I want will be there on Monday! So exciting for the Visa offer to be released, but it ramps up the stress factor for those of us who will be waiting until Monday! :scared1:

Here's hoping that there are lots of rooms put aside for the GP offer on Monday, and that we will all be doing the HAPPY DANCE by Monday afternoon. We are obviously all pretty into this, but remember that there are lots and lots and lots of people planning to go to Disney in the fall who have no clue that FD is even an option.

you have a great husband! If it makes you feel any better... Last year, I wanted POP, but they dining was sold out (don't worry ..... I called a month after it was offered....) I booked my ressie at ASMu. A few days later, I called and inventory opened up at POP and I moved my ressie with no problems. (The only concern was that I already had my tickets for Disney Express, so at the MCO airport, they were going to take me to, and pick me up from, the wrong hotel). So, if you don't get POP right away, and if you are able to change, make sure you check your transportation tickets!

HAllelujah!! After waiting & waiting, reading posts & reading post, worrying & worrying, FREE DINING is here!
I was so nervous to check the boards this morning, scared that free dining starting today was just a rumor.
Thank you so much Disboard members for keeping us all informed.

I just called & changed our existing ressie over to Free Dining.
I only had to wait on the phone for 1 minute. Changing over was not a problem. Kept my same resort (CBR) and same reservation number.
I previously had booked under pin code for percentage off room (30%).
We've saved $343 by changing to Free Dining offer.

Now, I don't have to be obsessed to read these post every single minute, and I can get my house clean. It has been a mess for a month!!!
