2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

This question is in the assumption that FD will be here... I know it will be!!! So here goes... Sorry for any of you from the "other" thread for whom this is kind of a repeat question, but.... I've read and been told many places that the end of August/week before Labor Day is one of the least crowded times to go... but have also read that FD draws in alot of crowds, which is contradictory. Overall it seems that the general consensus is that it's not too crowded during that time. However, I just had a co-worker *assure* me today that the end of August is quite crowded and I should expect long, hot waits in line. Soooooo, what is the case? Will it be crowded or not (again, assuming FD comes out)? 8/24-9/1.

In my experience... 2007 we went the last week of Aug... the crowds weren't bad.. no real long waits for anything.
2008 we arrived on the last day of Aug... the next day was labor day and our 1st day in the parks.... labor day was about the same as the previous year had been.... but the days following that.... almost every ride was a walk on... including space mountain, splash mountain, test track, mission space, Expedition everest, and kali river rapids.... which I got to ride 4 times before I DECIDED to get off. We are going at the exact same time this year.

There are rumors that TSM will be closed for refurbishment sometime in August.

I believe it is $10 a day for an adult and about $3 a day for a child. I think...... It is better than paying for all dining. I don't mind having to upgrade.

Nooooooooo!!!!!! Well, that's the thing with Disney... no matter when you go, you'll miss something due to a closure or something not being completed yet. But, at least there are a *few* other great things to do instead!

I have read those rumors too and it is during the week we are planning to go. I am hoping they will delay a week or so since it will cross into Labor Day weekend. Fingers crossed.

I heard today that April 39th, thursday they come out to Disney Visa card holders, free basic dining thru oct 2nd. July the release to everyone else

Hopefully, they will wait til after Labor Day or it may just be a rumor all together. Some have mentioned that the upgrade is software that can be installed overnight. Keep those fingers crossed!

I am not in the UK (where free dining was offered a month ago)
I don't have a Disney Visa.
I don't travel in June, July, or Mid August.
I like table serve, and counter serve, and even a snack or two. (just not to pay for it)
I will gladly support Disney over Universal.
I like to tour Epcot, to see how the other side lives.
Canada is the second largest pavillion (not sure if this is true), the first most booked table serve, and the cheese soup is to die for!

We are staying at POP too! September 23-October 2!!! I got the free dining on a bounceback last year however my sister and her family decided to go this year and are having me watch for the FD like a hawk.

Seems like quite afew of us are staying at POP during 9/23-10/3 dates.
We should post our pics so if we see each other on the properties we can say "Hi"

If all goes according to plan, we'll be there September 27 - October 6...at POP! Never stayed there before so I want to give it a try...I think DS will LOVE it.
