 Can someone call the 'manager of disney' and tell them that is is vitaly important that we know WHEN and IF free dining is coming:confused3...because many people will be suffering from heart failure soon:headache: :sick:and we really would rather prevent such a horrible incident!:worship::worship:

Maybe this is harsh, but I'm really not sure what the big deal is. :confused3 Last year, free dining took three weeks to "sell out", right? It's not going to sell out in one day.

"Manager of Disney" -- I want that job.

Not sure if this info as been posted.

About same as what we are hearing...

"The next discount to be announced should include the Disney Dining Plan. We’ve heard it will appear for Disney Visa cardholders around April 29, and the general public May 2. Travel dates should begin around August 15 (the day after the current discounts end). No word on the end travel date, but we expect it to be very late September or very early October, as it has been in the past.

We’re hearing conflicting details about the dining offer itself. Two sources says the offer will be scaled back (one says “drastically”) from last year. We interpret this to mean that everyone using this offer will get the Quick Service plan by default – including guests staying at deluxe resorts – and can use that discount towards purchasing the standard dining plan. However, one other source thinks the free dining offer will be the same as last year’s (Quick Service at value resorts, standard plan at moderates and deluxes). If we hear more we’ll let you know."

Heres another SILLY question...lets say FD is offered and its The REG Dining Plan for all Resort Levels....is it possible to just opt for the QSDP instead and get that free?

Technically no.

In years past you could trade a TS meal for a QS meal and recive a voucher (piece of paper) for either 2 extra snack credits or a free gift. Which 2 years ago was a chessy mesh bag.

LAST year they did not do this. You could use a TS for a QS but got nothing extra.

This year all signs point to QSDP @ the values. And boy am I kicking myself for not getting that bounceback. So for my family of 2A/2C it will cost approximately $40 a day to upgrade including the tips. Even though my ADR's are already made I'm still pondering over which plan I wanna do...

$40 a day is actually great. I think I spent more than $40 on a few entrees.

WDW NEWS

• Word on the net is Disney Rewards Visa members will soon see a FREE DINING offer from Disney near the end of April that will be followed in very early May with a similar offer for the general public. Travel dates are expected to be from mid-August to very early October. As usual, nothing is written in stone

i know some said that the 2nd round of free dining last year was QS for values... i went in mid-november (before thanksgiving), stayed in a value and got regular DDP Free Dining... no upgrade required!

Word on the Net -- that's official PR speak for "I read on the DISBOARDS.."

LOL

I have a question about booking a trip with a Disney Visa. Can you book online and still get the Disney Visa deal (if FD is offered early for Visa holders), or do you need to call in order to get it? I don't care either way. I'm just wondering as I'm a new Disney Visa holder (specifically for this trip!)

in past years you needed to call... and wait... and wait... and wait... but for me, it's well worth the wait! :)

There may have been a pin attached to your name. That is what happened to us. I never asked for the upgrade I just got my info and it was on there. So I called and they told me I had a pin.

We went last year in August and stayed at POP and got the DDP. All the posts I been reading that it was just QSDP for value. I'm wondering if they gave me the wrong offer. I thought it was the DDP for all resorts. Oh well, have a trip already planed and hopping for FD if not, oh well, we just won't spend as much on sovies. We really don't need them anyway. Here's to waiting until the 29th.

I have a question. Me and my mom have a Disney Visa. Can we book the ressie on her card and use both of our reward dollars towards the cost?

Even if it is only QSDP free, you can upgrade to regular for $10/adult and $2/ child per night.

So, everyone that has the Disney Visa Card and book on April (I forgot the date) for the FD (hopefully):wizard:. Please let us know about it. I just hope that rooms at POP will be available for the rest of us.;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

ANd just as an aside.. that always confused me in soap operas. One day the kid is a toddler, off they go to boarding school and 3 months later they're an adult :rotfl:
The worst exploitation of time was on OLTL years ago when they had a costume ball that lasted 7 months for one night to pass. There were 2 murders and all the winter holidays went by without a mention.
I trying to get next Thursday off so I can sit and wait and book my trip. We want to go at the end of September with 2 rooms, one I'll book and one my sister will book. We both have DV. I've already made speculative ADRs.

So, everyone that has the Disney Visa, Please let us know about it.

Oh don't worry, you will surely know! I will be on for sure to let everyone know how much I saved, if it does come out. We are hoping for PoFQ, but will stay at any moderate. Our choices in order would be PoFQ, POR, CSR and CBR. We stayed at CBR once before and loved it, but I am looking to try something knew.

What was the topic of the day supposed to be today? I think it turned into General Hospital. I don't watch that one, so can't be involved in that convo, but I know Days of Our Lives does the same thing with age progression. One day a kid is a toddler and the next they are getting married. :lmao:

:lmao: DH and I were just talking about that when I gave him updates on other sites reporting the rumor...he said "So basically they're just linking to the Disboards, right?" :rotfl:
