do you know something the rest of us don't? i have not heard that rumor at all... last year DVisa discount was only offered a few days prior to gen'l public, not a full week... for all we know, it might be 5/3 for DVisa cardholders and later in the week for the GP... of course, that is just another guess!

I'm just going with the 5/3 rumor being for the GP. Traditionaly, Monday GP offers are given to DVisa the Thursday before, that would be 1 week from today.

Hey Canadian Guy,
I am a Aussie looking for accomodation from the 21st sept./3rd oct. this year. Just wandering what specials it is that you have heard about, sorry I don't understand all the abreviations. We would love to stay on site in a two bed villa but I am hesitant to book as I feel it in bones that disney may offer accomodation specials during this period as it is meant to be a quiter time of the year for you guys. I would greatly appreciate any advice:goodvibes:goodvibes. We love your beautiful country after visting last year and experiencing disneyland, we are looking forward this year to the experience that disney world will offer.:cutie:

If you have your heart set on a villa, you might look at renting points from a Disney Vacation Club owner. There is a DVC forum here on the Dis. Epcot's Food & Wine Festival starts the 1st of October though and I've heard that the villas are usually full during that time. Then again, this year has been a little different, travel-wise!

You might want to look at renting 2 connecting rooms at a deluxe or moderate resort. These rooms will almost certainly have some type of discount for fall. Disney says they cannot guarantee connecting rooms but we've had them every time we've asked.

If you are registered at the official Disney website, and/or have ordered the planning DVD's, maps etc. you might try calling the Disney CRO (central reservations office) and asking if you have a discount code already associated with your name ( a PIN code!).

Hope that helps a little!

:surfweb:That's me.....:surfweb:every day.....:surfweb:over and :surfweb:over :surfweb:again and :surfweb:again...

SO TRUE and so funny. What I am wondering is if there will be some sort of special discounts that we may have not seen before because of HP at Universal. Seems to me that since we are waiting for longer than before and most of the current discounts end right before HP grand opening I am thinking there may be in addition to/or instead of free dining some sort of room package discount? Something new and creative??

This waiting is killing me! We have planned our trip 8 different ways depending on what discounts there may be!

It's 6:05 am EST here in Ontario, Canada. I went to WDW's site to see about reservations for Ohana (been checking several times daily), and I noticed that...

The discount offers are missing from their website! Wonder if it is being updated with something new?

EDITED: No, guess I'm wrong. The "fold-down page" that normally appears isn't, but the summer 30% off is still there when I scroll down and click on special offers. Ah well.

I just was on their website and noticed above the special offers they wrote
"With the strong Canadian dollar, now is a great time to make your Disney dream vacation come true!"

So bring on the fall promo so I can take advantage of the "strong Canadian dollar."

I thought the original post on this thread said that you were told free dining. I do know it is not for certain, but is there a reason you are sounding less confident that that will be what it is? Have you heard rumors to the contrary? Just curious, or is it just that nothing is definite until it is in writing?

I don't think he's sounding less confident...Knox has continuously put up disclaimers that nothing is for certain, he's only reporting what he has been hearing but to keep in mind it's not a definite thing.

I just heard thru my work travel agent that free dining will be available 8/15-10/2 with booking starting on 5/3.

Did your TA happen to mention her thoughts on if Villas would be included....trying to "crunch numbers" as there are 8 of us and we need a villa or 2 rooms.....Thanks

 I can't stop checking this thread! LOL

We're going either way and will pay for the DP at Pop but now are kind of leaning towards trying to upgrade to POFQ if FD does come out. Aargh! :crazy2: I'm so-o not patient! :hyper:

I am with you tiki. Obsessively checking this thread even though I don't expect it to say anything until May 3RD or at the very earliest next Thursday, if DV members get the offer early.

sorry I missed yesterday's hurricane story day. DD and I went to NYC for the day - saw Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) and Kristen Chenoweth in Promises, Promises - good and Kelsey Grammer in La Cage au Folle - OMG - amazing, hysterical, a don't miss if you can get there!!

Anyway, we're back (left at 9AM got home at 2:30AM!!), So today is Restaurant day? We're doing:

New: Biergarten, Nine Dragons, Boma, Chefs de France and maybe Cape May Clambake

Repeats: the AMAZING Wave, Mama Melrose FP and maybe Wolfgang Puck
Cafe

Which one of the maybes we do depends on whether or not we go to Sea World one day.

Oh I completely forgot about Restaurant Day!

We're doing Boma, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Le Cellier, and POSSIBLY Cinderella's Royal Table as repeats.

We didn't book CRT yet as we don't want to be charged for it in case FD comes out (don't want to deal with fixing it). So it's possible that if an ADR is not available, we'll do Jiko instead as our new one.

Pooch, I am glad to hear the Wave is a repeat for you and you found it amazing. What did you have to eat. We will be going there for our first time this trip.

Did you say you had a hurricane experience in an earlier post? I can't remember, but was thinking you said you did. If so, I am sure we won't mind you sharing it a day late. :goodvibes

Pooch, glad you are having so much fun and food but you know it is not the same without your 'favorite' dinner companion. :lmao:

When you going to take the grandson? Every trip is different but that trip will be the best of your life! Getting to see it all anew through the eyes of a child cannot be beat!:cloud9:

Slightly Goofy

I am getting hungry just reading this tread
We are doing T-Rex, Plaza,Le Cellier,Sci Fi,Chef Mickeys,1900 Parke Fare, Whispering Canyon Lodge and CRT(Repeat from last year)! I can't wait to try all these new resturants.:goodvibes

I forgot to mention TRex in my dining post until you mentioned it mom2. I was too busy concentrating on my free meals. ;) I will be so sad if it doesn't come out.
