**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

From Scott Joseph's Orlando Restaurant Guide:
Now here’s a tasting that really is Grand.

On the five Saturdays in October during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Grand Marnier will present a tasting of its full range of liqueurs, including the 100 and 150 year olds. After the tasting, guests will learn how to shake and muddle special Grand Marnier cocktails, then taste flambeed crepes Suzette and frozen souffle glace prepared by the chefs of Bistro de Paris. All of this for $45, which is probably less than a taste of the 150 year old Grand Marnier alone. The cost includes tax and gratuity, but not addmission to Epcot, which is required. Tastings will be at the Bistro from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Still no official announcement on ticket sales start date, but be sure to put this one on the top of your list. It's going to sell out fast.

This event is so on my list!
I disagree with his last statement: it has been published by Disney that ticket sales will start on July 20 at 7 am.

Now that event sounds like something I would enjoy!

Celebrating Family & Friends in the Kitchen price stayed the same except for Cat Cora's which increased $10 ($130 to $140) ... ??? must be those Greek wines!

Redzinner-

Where are you finding this info??? Has the schedule been released somewhere? I've been watching the official site and the food blog site but haven't seen the official schedule. And I don't want to tell my husband that Cat Cora's event will be during our trip until I've seen the schedule! ;)

Thanks!

Sarah, I don't know how 'firm' all this information is but it is coming from a Disney site, just not the official WDW Epcot site.

I don't know why Disney just doesn't call me with this Festival information and get it over with! :confused3:rotfl: That way I wouldn't be totally wasting my morning, although I am getting some laundry finished.

I do believe that this is an official Disney site... it is directly from Epcot with links to the WDW site for later use. :yay:

Also, this is being updated right now... I had looked at it earlier this morning and these things were not there then.

We're getting lucky this year.... Andrea Robinson is there when we are. I'd love to do her wine school. I am almost thinking about doing that instead of PftS. I don't think I could handle both in one day - my palate can only handle so much, lol.

Has anyone done the Celebrating Family & Friends in the Kitchen? That would be a good alternative to be able to see AR. I adore her. I used to watch her shows & own several of her books. I met her at a Charity wine tasting event here in Rochester & she was a really charming woman.

I wonder why they are excluding Friday, 10/1. I bet they may be going to have a Signature Dinner at the Bistro that night.
