Taking a break from holiday decorating to post the photo link :) You'll notice in Mile 1 I was concentrating/frowning at the camera trying to figure out if it was lined up and taking the photo LOL After that I remember that I was 'suppose to be having fun'

Editing to say that the medal is from my prior Flying Feather (2007 or 2008) standing in for the WISH Medal. LOL

Had lots of fun goofing off :)

Diane - love the pictures!!!! Wow, you are speedy! Looks like you have a good area for training. I wish we had something like that. Good job.

I never did a 10K but something close. Hope it counts...

On Wednesday, I did a 5 mile walk with some friends. Later that day, I rode my bike for 10 miles. On Thursday, back to the bike for 15 miles. It was a bit chilly and windy but I survived. Also, I didn't feel as guilty for eating a little too much for Thanksgiving dinner later that night. Today, I did a 6-miler with a friend...felt a little sluggish from over-indulging the night before. :rolleyes1

On tap tomorrow - 8 miles.

Hope everyone had/has a great Thanksgiving! Tracy, thanks for getting this set up for us even though I didn't quite follow 10K on Thursday. :)

Well, I totally failed at this one. By the time I was ready to face running, it had started raining. It was not a nice, let's go run in it rain. It was a cold, yucky, stay in the house rain. Oh well, there's always next year.

Got my 10k in today. 1 hr. 23 min and 37 sec.

Planned on doing it yesterday, but got through the first 5k at the track when, ahem, nature called and I had to get back home.

But for me that's good. a 5k yesterday and a 10k today. WooHoo!!!:cool1:

Congrats to everyone who participated!

Terri

Diane, great pictures - :thanks:
Looks like a truly wonderful training route. I have some nice walking areas, but I still have to cross lots of streets.

I got my 10K in yesterday 1:02 and some seconds.

Thanks for setting this up Tracy...Jen I still have to email you my info for my medla.

Thanks!

I did my 10k yesterday in 1:35:37. I decided to be "green" and combined the walk with some errands... went to the post office, did a lap around a park to get in some distance, stopped at Costco to pick up some photo prints, then headed home for one final lap around the neighborhood to make it to 6.2 miles.

Big thanks to Tracy for organizing this virtual event!!! :thumbsup2 I've done some type of race every month since April 2008 but wasn't able to get anything in for November. So this Turkey Trot was perfectly timed and I'm going to count it as my November event.

Unfortunately I spent more than I planned to on Black Friday deals so I'm going to skip the medal.

Great photos, Diane! Love the mile markers and you - dressed in your victory medal - and Mickey - dressed in his festive Thanksgiving garb - celebrating at the finish line! :) Thanks for sharing!

Hope that you're all having a great holiday weekend! :)

Got mine in on Turkey day (but this is the first I have had access since Thursday morning). Spent the morning driving five hours or so, got to relatives just in time for lunch, so my run was at the end of the day. Despite treadmill run, no competition, and laden with turkey and pie, I manged to eke out a 43:30 for my 10k.

Oh, I forgot to post my time over here! 1:04:50 I have a few photos I will share later. ;)

DH and I did our local 5K Turkey Day Getaway. We combined our times to make 10K and came in at 1:14.49. I'm quite slow but happy to report that my time was my best ever for a 5K! :goodvibes

I did it, but my Garmin needed charging and I was unable to record a completely accurate distance and time (especially since we stopped once to chat!) I'll agree to be DLF since it was definitely over hungrygreenhippo's 1:35! The key thing is that I did it and was able to get out of the kitchen for a nice envigorating stroll on Thanksgiving morning.
Thanks for organizing this, Tracy!

Huh. I said I was in (or at least planned on doing it), did it, but never got added to the list. I guess that makes me a bandit - so I probably oughtn't be getting the medal either. :confused3

I ran my virtual 10K in 1:05:18. It was 844 calories according to my Garmin! That should have wiped out my appetizers!

Thanks for organizing this!

I got my 10k in. I don't know the exact time, but I think it was around 1:33. I'll update later to let you know the exact time.

Going to have to pass on the medal as my Paypal account is having issues. So is life. Thank you again Tracy and Jen!!!

It was great doing the race knowing my friends were doing it too!

I will add you to the list, no worries, I have been busy with Thanksgivigna dn then was out of town until last night. I will try to update when I get a chance.
