Cabin rate during Value season is =
$265. + 33.12 (tax) = $298.12 per night

I called and applied AAA discount to my Jan. reservation and the cost is
$212. + $26.5 (tax) = $238.50. per night
This is a 20% discount.

Hoping for any other codes/discounts before Jan!

I just called disney to see if AAA rates for 2009 were out yet and was told "Not Yet". JCricket Fan, how did you get the AAA rate?

Some of the phone reps don't know the AAA rates are out yet. Either call back until you get somebody that can help you, or try to explain to the person you are talking to that the rates are out and maybe they can look for them.

I'm confused. I thought the full hookup designation was going away this fall and the all full hookup sites would be converted to preferred (to include cable). Does this mean they are going to keep around some full hookups???

I'm confused. I thought the full hookup designation was going away this fall and the all full hookup sites would be converted to preferred (to include cable). Does this mean they are going to keep around some full hookups???

Who knows. It could be 1 of two things.

1: The renovations will go much slower than planned.
2: So many folks complained about 1600 - 1900 being priced as preferred, that they decided to leave 1 or more of those loops at full hookup pricing

I still think it is more than a significant increase across the board. It looks like they are trying to recoup all expense they are doing in one year. Geesh. There was only $3 difference in what I was told and what is there now. Unless I can find a full or preferred, I am not going. Over $20 a night increase a night is over my budget for over a 10 night stay.

What will be interesting to see is "where" those full hookup sites are. Is it just 1900, or 1600 - 1900, or maybe some other combination of loops.

If it is 1900 only, then no thanks. I'll stick with partial.

I really hope they keep 1600 through 1900 as full hookups. As long as I bring my golf cart, I really like to stay in the 1700. I need a pet loop so I hope they keep at least one or two of those loops as "pet full hookup".
