2009 Magic Your Way Packages

Does anyone know when Disney puts out the rates for the 2009 Vacation Packages.

I think 2009 prices will be out sometime in August.

You can book room only 365 days and still make ADR (180 days) before the rates come out in August. Then you can add your package. Rates are, of course subject to adjust to the 2009 rates and require one nights deposit, but at least ya know got a place to rest!

I would think that if dining can be reserved 180 days out that they should have the packages out by then as well

You would think so, but unfortunately not. Like the previous poster said, you can book room-only now for one night's stay deposit. Then, when the packages come out, you can book your package. HTH!

By the time anyone is within 180 days of their stay, the rates will be out. You can make a room only reservation 499 days in advance. The rates for 2008 were released last August. Previously the rates for the next year had been released earlier than that, for 2007 they were released in May of 2006. So it is possible that rates for next year could be released at any time, although the summer is most likely.

I hope pkgs come out in August. I called and booked room only for August '09 and the CM said the pacakges for 2009 would not come out until December. I'm sure she was wrong

Dec. is definitely wrong, if you look at past history. It should be August unless Disney does something different this year and doesn't release the '09 rates until Dec. Past history would indicate August.

I am waiting as well for the '09 package rate. We did the dining last October and it was fabulous. Now with the tip portion out and the appetizer, I wonder if it is still worth it.

Do you think they will keep the dining as is, or change again? Any thoughts?

Not quite true in my case, but I sure am hoping! My 180 day window opens on July 23. I am very hopeful that package rates will be out by then but if not, no biggie, I made my room only back in February. Shouldn't be too much later hopefully by the first couple weeks of August!
