Hi just checking in here to see what's going on with everyone. Not much to report here. I have started to price plane tickets so that is getting me excited.

updating- still going in July '09 and happy to report that we are now going 2 weeks instead of one.
The first week we stay for our 3rd time at Fort Wilderness. The 2nd week we will be staying in a Windsor Townhome for the first time. It will be 2 very different weeks! like 2 different vacations.

That sounds GREAT!!! I would love a trip like that!! Are you going to do Universal or Sea World when you're offsite?

I think maybe when the kids are older we might stay offsite, either the whole trip, or maybe a couple days before checking in at Disney, and do Universal. I've never been, but it looks cool.

Okay we have some plans

May 1-4th Port Orleans (Dh and I celebrating our 10th anniversary)

Dec 6-12th Pop Century 2 rooms (Family Christmas!!)


I am thinking Dh and I will get AP's and forgo the dining plan for our trip. At this point we will still keep the dining plan for Dec.

Yes-
The first week will primarily be Disney, and we'll be on-site so we could use the extra magic hours (which we do in the mornings). The second week we will do Universal, which we have been to before (and love) and we will go to Sea World for the first time.

The first week I envision very go go go all Disney all the time as usual !!
the second week slower....park one day, day off, park one day day off....more laid back

Universal- is cool (but my kids don't love it as much as DH and I do....but there's more for them to do the older they get)

Happy Monday!! (And Cinco de Mayo!!)

Starting to hear more about 2009 - saw a post that looks like there will be P&PP in '09! They know this b/c it is mentioned for the mini-marathon scheduled for March next year. I honestly don't know if we'll attend if there is one during our May stay. On one hand, the kids would love it I'm sure. On the other, it would cost us over $160 add'l, plus the kids would be up so late, the next morning would definitely be a sleep-in, hang-out only. I'm thinking just doing rope-drops is a better plan for us. I'd really worry about DD getting overtired and being cranky about 10 PM also.

Another thing I've seen is that T-Rex is due to open Nov. 1. So hopefully we'll be hearing about making ADR's and if they will take DDP (doubt it, but still hoping!!) soon!

Wow! It has been going that long. Doesn't seem possible.


So as soon as the packages are released this summer is everyone going to book right then?

I plan on contacting Dreams Unlimited just as soon as they are announced. I am ready to get this going.

Wow, a year ago!! I just looked and I didn't stumble upon the thread until October, but that's still been over 7 months already!!

I will be booking - through AAA-as soon as the packages come out. Really hoping they are out early August, since we leave for Myrtle Beach on August 15th. that will be a busy week and I'd like to have the Disney booking over and done with before then.

I've read some posts that said DDP "rumor" threads started up last June - and most of them ended up being right. So we might start hearing more on that in a month or so.
