Thanks for the welcome -- now i have a place to come and read about others trips in the distant future. Seems my regular peeps are getting a bit confused as to why I am so heavily into PLANNING already.

Another who is not going until Sept 2009. We have planned on Sept 20-27.
We did have a trip planned for this Sept, but DH got a new job that he could not turn down and will not have any vaca time built up by then.

Oh well, Disney will be there next year, this job wouldn't be.

When you arrive in 2009 I will be starting to get sad because we will be leaving to come home on the 22nd Oh know, here I go already getting depressed that it will be over and I am not even to the year 2009 yet. I really had that post trip depresion after the past trip.

Ok so I too am hopping on the 2009 bandwagon........I am so glad I am not alone and no longer think I am crazy. (my husband on the other hand....lol) We were going to try and go in August of 2008, but finally realized that going over the summer at the height of the heat was not a good idea with the two kids. Sooooooo we decided to wait until 2009 to go later in the year when it was more comfortable weather wise and the MNSSHP would be happening which the kids loved. The twist for this trip is that we now have a travel trailer and have the itch to head to Fort Wilderness, so, we have wrangled up a bunch of fellow campers and have set t he dates.......Oct. 24th to Nov.7th give or take a day. There are so many of us, we have qualified for a Grand Gathering already!!!! The big challenge will be the school system and how much flack they will give us about having the kids out for two weeks. Wish us luck...and hopefully we will see you there!!!

We have added another trip for 2009.

We will also be going to Disney from Jan 1 - Jan 8/09. Right now we have reservation for SSR but I am hoping to change them to AKV at a later date.

We are still doing the cruise in March...it is going to be a busy year.

We like both resorts, however, in my opinion the POP is better if you have younger kids because of all the lifesize kids favorites (mine loved the potato heads). We stayed at POR while I was pregnant with DD and we loved the relaxed atmosphere. So, I guess it depends on what you like. Also, it seemed like there was A LOT of kids at the POP. Keep us posted on what you decide.......you could always extend your stay and spend a few days at both LOL..

I've missed you guys !!!!!!!

It's been really busy (report cards and testing), so I haven't been by in awhile. I had to go into the city today and drove by the theater where David Copperfield is performing tonight. I had both dd's with me, and there was traffic everywhere. I mentioned a few times that there was a show tonight, but dd2 equates "show" with Little Einsteins, since she saw the playhouse disney show last fall. She kept asking "Is Junie in there? Where's Leo? Can I see Rocket?" I know it's over a year away, but I'm hoping she still "loves" them when we go.......

DD5, on the other hand, is giving me trouble. She has seen the commercial where the little girl gets to stay in Cinderella's castle, and thinks we should stay there too. When I try to explain why we can't, she gets upset, "If that girl on tv can stay there, then why can't we?"

I'm going to curl up with my Disney book tonight. I feel as if I know it in & out, but it's such a comfortable feeling. I sound like a dork!

You definitely do not sound like a dork...I to have been reading my Disney books over and over again...my daughter who is 10 does not want to understand why we cannot stay in the castle....anyways happy planning everyone....

We are debating about staying at Fort Wilderness, or staying off-site. My family has stayed at FW twice before in the early 80s. Being the travel agent wannabe that I am , I'm hoping to have all the details finalized by the end of this year .

I am hoping to go Sept 17th - 30th 2009 staying in Pop C.

It will be my birthday on the 19th so really looking forward to that and hope to do MNSSHP and if I can convince my hubby dress up will be just me and H as we have not got any kiddies yet and this will be our 3rd trip since Feb 2006.

We are now going in June instead of May. I don't want to take the kids out of school. We will be going with DH's family so that will be more fun anyway.
