2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

What will be your first three ressies made when your 180 is here and what is the significance, if any???????

Mine will be Cindy's Castle for lunch ( with my mom and my daughter), Chef Mickey's for dinner the first night (it just brings forth the Disney magic and we did this our first family trip), and Le Cellier for lunch (late lunch worked well for us). Yum! I am so looking forward to 2009.

The only ressie I'm sure if right now is California Grill, around fireworks time. We have never been there, and since we are not scheduled to return to WDW ;) for quite some time after 2009, I want to make this trip extra magic!
We will probably try Le Cellier as well. I think we are going without DDP this time (also a first) so there will be some off property meals too. Any suggestions? We are looking for close by but off property, mid priced, and somewhat kid friendly - for me, DH and DS 8.

I have many ADR's planned but the main thing is 07Jul'09, my 40th. I want to start the morning with breakfast at CP, we are then looking to do BBB for youngest princess: early dinner at 1900 Park Fare and then (fingers crossed) a Wishes cruise with all the :bday: trimmings. Any views/alternative suggestions would be appreciated. We're probably staying at BC, I was showing DH the wonders of the new Poly thread :cloud9: the other night but he was not for budging :sad2:

CRT for either breakfast or lunch, Hoop-Dee-Doo, Crystal Palace for breakfast

(We'll also probably do Chef Mickey's for dinner--did breakfast last time.) As for the others, not sure! It depends on whether we do DDP or DxDP--and THAT depends on how much money I can get saved up!

For us, definitely Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern again. Probably Plantet Hollywood, I'd like to try the Cape May Cafe for breakfast anyone have any experience there? We are not early risers and I saw CMC had buffet until 11 am or so. We did Sci Fi last time and wont go back there for sure.

I'm not sure about anything else. Kids really aren't adventerous eaters, so I'll be pouring over menues as soon as I narrow down my dates and how many dates we can stay.

Micka Mouse,

We liked Liberty Tree Tavern. Minnie, Goofy and Chip and Dale were there. They serve family style at your table. Basically Thanksgiving dinner. My kids really enjoyed it.

CRT for breakfast or lunch (haven't decided yet - opinions???)for just DD and I, LeCellier for our last night dinner, Kona for our first night dinner.

Other ADR's I'm planning on- Crystal Palace for Dinner, Ohana for dinner, Mama Melrose for dinner with Fantasmic Package, and Chef Mickey's (thinking this will be dinner but not positive).

waiting to see what happens with T-REx Cafe. I know DS (and DD too) would love that. Probably won't be on DDP, though, so we may just drop in there for dessert or something.

Chef Mickey's for our first night dinner (this will be T-giving Day so I will be on the phone precisely at 7am on the 180 day mark!). We've done it twice so it's officially a first-night tradition! CRT breakfast since it will be my mom's first trip. Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic Pkg., just because I think it's totally worth it not to have to get there so early for Fantasmic. :thumbsup2

We are going to be on the DDP and we already know most likely where we are eating...I listed the top three in a previous post, but here it goes:

1. Le Cellier (lunch or dinner)
2. CRT after BBB with DD (so lunch pref. or dinner...or whatever I can get):rotfl:
3. Mama Melrose for Fantasmic Dinner Package
4. Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner)
5. Kona (dinner)
6. Crystal Palace (breakfast)
7. 50's Prime Time (lunch)
8. Ohanas (dinner)
9. Princess Storybook Dining..breakfast pref.
10. Coral Reef (dinner) I really don't want to but DH wants to try it.
11. Chef Mickey's (dinner)
12. Boma (dinner)

My DH loves the table service at Disney. That is what makes him come back. I can honestly say we have always had wonderful food and service. I always feel so bad for disers that say that they had a bad experience.

We may do the DxDDP just because we are eating a lot of TS. I may narrow the list down or switch to some other places or add more:rolleyes1 . I have 10months to decide (that is when I hit my 180 days :thumbsup2 ). We will be there 11 days/10 nights. Right now, I am trying to figure out if we should share a room with my MIL and BIL. DH wants to save money.

We love LTT, too! I was thinking of maybe adding it for next year but I want to try Chef Mickey's. We have never tried that one.

Thanks for the tip about LTT. Basically, I'm going to try places based on what I hear from you guys. I've been to WDW, but haven't eaten at ANY of the restaurants. I have heard that ?Tony's? is good. What do you think :confused3 ? I had Sci Fi Dine In on my list, but had to cross it off due to several bad reviews I read here, and a friend's suggestion.

Here are the ADR's I want to make:

CRT
Chef Mickeys
Garden Grill
LLT
Crystal Palace
50's Prime Time
Sci Fi
Tusker House - Breakfast
San Angel

It is just DH and I and we will be 38 at the time and we love character meals and we are not afraid to admit it!

We have done Sci-Fi twice and each time I was not super-impressed with the food. It was good but... I would rather do 50's Prime Time.

The last time we went to Sci-Fi the food was ok and our server was great but we had to sit in a car with some people we did not know...and that was fine...except that we kept seeing them turn around and look at us and give each other this look----> . I am not sure what that was about.:confused3 Our DD was good and we were just minding our own business....but, it kinda ruined the experience. And the food to me just isn't worth the cost.

It's funny, I've read so many bad reviews of Sci-Fi, but it's one of my favorite places to eat! We've eaten there twice and the food has been very good both times - although it is PRICEY! But what food isn't at DW? I just love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the kids said it was one of their favorites. And those glow-tini's - yummy! :thumbsup2 It is definitely on my list to do again next trip.

I've heard lunch is better than dinner at Sci-Fi, we had dinner, so maybe that's why. In my opinion, the atmosphere is what really draws people in, but the food is only so-so. We took a chance, tried it and didn't like it, other people may have a different experience. All you can do is live and learn.

There are lots of great places to eat at WDW...I am really excited to try Kona. The food looks soooo yummy! I am also looking forward to trying Boma. I have heard a lot of great things about their food.

Hurry up, 2009!!

My first three ADRs that I am going to make are
Crystal Palace for early bk - we did this last year and loved it
Garden Grill for late lunch - my youngest son's suggestion
Norway Princess lunch - my oldest can eat something in our culture (he is obsessed with being scandinavian)
Shoot I have so many more I am looking at a total of 8 meals that require ADR's and that is without me changing my mind a hundred times, but these are the three that are must do's.

We did CMC breakfast last summer as a last minute ADR and loved it:love: . The food and surroundings were beautiful and the character interaction superb. In fact if all goes to plan and we're staying at BC that will be our first ADR on our first day, start the holiday as mean to go on:cloud9:
