I thought I just read that the mugs are actually the same for all resorts now - something about year of a million dreams on them.
I've never like coming home with a new mug everytime as it just fills up the cabinets. I would LOVE to see Disney come out with a policy that if you bring your mug back from previous trips you buy like a refill sticker good for the visit. It could be cheaper than the original full purchase price but would still be "paying" for your drinks. Additionally, it would cut back on the amount of mugs they would have to sell overall AND help the environment as well (go tree huggers)
They actually do that at the waterparks and have been doing it for a while. I'm not sure why they haven't extended it to the resorts and parks.
FWIW, I think that DISers care more about the mug rule than Disney does. If it were as hot a topic in corporate meetings as it is on here, Disney would have implimented a way to enforce the one-time-use rule a long time ago.
