2008 Rates Are Out?

I was able to get room rates and boy they seem to have jumped high! I got rates from Dec 31st- Han 5th at $141.00 and then typed in Jan 7th - Jan 11th
at $129.00. Rate hike of $47 nightly?

Rates aren't out yet according to the website. You can book up to a year in advance online. The rate you got is the 2007 rates. Once the 2008 rates are released, your package price will be adjusted to the new rates and you will have to pay the difference either at check-in or by the due date. You will be notified of this increase by CRO.

I had to change dates, but still stayed in Value...they were there just a few minutes ago!

I had the same problem.
I bet they are working on getting the website setup
And When you do a resort comparison it has a link for 2007 rates, but not 2008...so I don't think they are really out yet.

I called the guy said they weren't. Although, he also said it would be a few more months, so obviously he had no idea. Online, I keep trying to book next Nov, and get nothing at any hotel, so I don't think they're out yet.

I just called and they said that they're not out yet. They anticipate them coming out soon, but they are not out as of right now.

I booked my room only last night for spring 2008 and the CM at CRO said that while the room was guaranteed, the rates were not. In fact, my confirmation e-mail a couple of minutes later read at the bottom:

"Room rates and package rates for arrivals on or prior to December 31, 2007, are guaranteed as long as your reservation is not changed. For arrivals after December 31, 2007, deposits or prepayments guarantee room availability only, and rate and package components have not been determined and are subject to change without notice."​

So, no, 2008 rates are not YET available

I tried to get an offer for Jan 2008 and it said there were no available rooms. However, it did list resorts and the rates for POFQ were listed as starting at $149/night. My reservation for POFQ for Jan. is $145/night based on 2007 rates. Could that be the new rates? I forgot what the highest is, but $4 increase would thrill me- less than expected- we'll see!

I just looked at allears.net and the 2007 POFQ rates are $145- $225. When I looked up Jan. 2008 on the WDW website, even though it said there wasn't any availability, it listed POFQ as $149- $240. Wonder if these are the new prices?

It looks like the rates are soon to be. Perhaps a mod should consolidate the rate threads to keep it all in one spot.

I just spoke with Disney reservations to find out when the 2008 rates would be out. I was told "in just days". I had several more unrelated questions and, just before hanging up, he said I should certainly call back this weekend. I am taking that to mean the August 5th date that other posters have said is correct.

I'm in the UK and bizzarely you can book in £ sterling at Disney.co.uk no problem. So you could try that to check room availability. The problem is with such a good exchange rate (from our point of view) I don't want to book in £ if I could get a better rate in $.

The problem is I'm going to be away for the next 2 weeks and I don't want to come back and find that you guys have booked up all the rooms!!

Hmm. So POFQ starts at $149, but even in value season that may not be the rate for each night. Weekend nights will probably be higher with the new pricing structure, so the $4 increase is kind of deceiving. I'm not sure what we're doing for '08 yet, but some info would certainly be helpful!

The Disney website is different today. Now it says no 2008 dates are available yet. Something's in the works!
