I just posted another thread and asked if you could buy the cakes/bakery items from sunshine seaons with snack credits? Some disers replied yes.

I figured I would ask here again just to be sure. I really don't want to do a whole meal there but the cakes look awesome in pics I've seen on the boards, so can anyone confirm?

Last year in Sept. I was able to use a snack credit at Sunshine Seasons. I am hoping to again this year.

Ok, wait!! A couple pages back musical2 said they got FUDGE with their snack credit at Starring Rolls. Did anyone else catch that??? Is it true? Has anyone else been able to get fudge as a snack?? I did this a lot in 2006 and 2007. PLEASE tell me I can do it again this year??!?!?!

I spent last week at Disney, just returned home yesterday. We found that every cast member we asked had a different opinion about what was included with the snack credit and what wasn't. During our first visit to Goofy's Candy Co. at Downtown Disney this past Wednesday, I was told that anything in the store under $4.00 was included as a snack credit. However, when I returned to the cash registered with an arm load of stuff all well under $4.00, she asked if I got them off the one wall with the snack credit sign, that only those items are included (and no seasonal, Easter, items are included according this this CM). She was, however, incorrect because a lot of the items not on that wall ARE included including muffins, the candy in the candy case and the make-your-own items like the rice krispie treats, marshmallows and gingerbread mickey (but apparently not the caramel apples). They do have a log of about 3 or 4 sheets behind the register listing everything, and their barcodes, that are included. They seemed very nervous about trying to ring things up that they weren't sure are snack credit items. One girl told me that if the register rejects an item they have to ring everything up all over again.

The Fudge: At Goofy's Candy Co. just this past Saturday, one cast member told us that everything in the case of handmade candies was included EXCEPT the fudge. About 15 minutes later, another cast member told my husband that the individual pieces of fudge ARE included (just not the box set special) and he DID get a piece with our very last snack credit. It's a very good value for the money since one individual piece, which is pretty big, is just over $4.00 with tax so at the top end for snack credit limit. I was VERY disappointed that we hadn't been told this before. I would have stocked up on the yummy fudge instead of the boxes of character cookies. We and our children each got a make-your-own rice krispie treat and these were beautiful and yummy!! I highly recommend these.

SO yes, at Goofy's Candy Co. at Downtown Disney, the individual pieces of fudge are included.

I believe I got a few other things with snack credits not already listed. I'll put that together and post it this evening for you to add to the main list. Thank you, JJohnson, for your hard work on this. It was VERY helpful to us last week.

Here are my additions to the list based on purchases I made with our many snack credits just last week. We were on the Deluxe Dining Plan and ate so much at meal times that we barely used the 56 snack credits during our stay so spent the majority of them at Goofy's Candy Company on our way out of town. I would spend the credits differently if I knew then what I know now. Anyway, here are some items I was able to get at Goofy's Candy Co I don't think are on the list yet........

blue plastic Cinderella slipper with candy necklace inside
Pez Dispensers: Princesses and Mickey & friends
Jawlipops: Jawbreaker Lollipop
bag of Chip & Dale Mickey Pretzels
Disney's Perfectly Princess Sweet Shoppe Frosted Cookies, 2 oz box
Disney Princess candy lipstick
bag of Chip & Dale Cashews (and other nuts)
Shortbread Rounds: 2 Mickey Face Cookies, 1.7 oz size
Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffin
Chocolate covered Peanut Butter Sandwich
Individual pieces of fudge (just over $4 with tax)
Princess foil covered Chocolate coins (but apparently not the Mickey and friends chocolate coins)

Apparently NOT on the snack credit list at Goofy's Candy Co:
Mickey and Friends chocolate coins
Goofy's marshmallow braided candy

If you see something you think should be a snack credit don't be afraid to ask or have a cast member look it up. They do have a sheet of barcodes for items that are included that they can look it up on. We found that the cast members themselves weren't clear on what is included and what isn't.

Thank you jjohnson for putting this together for everyone.

Thank you Sally for such detailed information & the fudge update:love: . I was at Goofy's in 2006 and they actually allowed the special box of fudge as 1 snack credit although I don't think it will go thru anymore, I'm going to try as I'll pay OOP if it doesn't work.

I always tell people, ask the CASHIER what is included or not. Don't bother asking the servers. Then make sure you go back to that cashier for check out, so you know you have it right.

Sunshine Season's soup? Does anybody know, they had it in 2007, and so i am wondering do they still have it?

Subsribing
I'll have to print this out before our December trip and take it with us. Knowing me, I'll also take smaller laminated version into the park with us.

Great idea for the smaller laminated version. :thumbsup2 Last trip was in 2005 and there was sooo much confusion on snacks alone!

When we were at WDW in Feb. the most confusion on the snacks were the CM's in the merchandise shops. We were at the Candy store on Main Street and they had to pull out a list of items that we could get. The CM even said that the merchandise shops are having a lot of trouble with the snacks. It was a lot of trial and error for the CMs. I know that it will get better, so please have patience with the CMs :)

Ok, quick question, do you all take your papers to be laminated somewhere? How do you laminate stuff? (sorry if this seems dumb!:goodvibes )

Kinkos or any other place for copies like Office Depot can laminate.
Costs about $1.20 for an 8.5 X 11 page.

I know that the popcorn BUCKET is not a snack option, but isn't the regular size one? I remember seeing it here before, but not now.

I only read the first page -as that's what was recommended. I noticed that only ice cream and fruit bars were listed for snacks at CSR. What about drinks and items like fruit or yogurt offered in the grab and go area or food court?? They should qualify as snacks?
And in the parks- can you walk up to any counter and assume that if they sell water and soda- those are considered snacks?

Can you purchase milk on the dP? I heard about the donuts but I was wondering other things such as milk, cereal, etc. Thank you.

LOL! You should have seen the strange looks I was getting while walking around the store with my pad and paper! :rotfl2: I AM COMPLETELY KIDDING!! I was fortunate enough to strike up a conversation with a MOST HELPFUL CM....I told that I was trying to figure out how the 08 plan had changed and I was interested in the snacks mostly (since I was in the Mercantile!) and he offered to give me a copy of his "inclusion" list! There are a few other things on the list but to be honest, with the abbreviations they use I was not 100% what they were so I did not list them!! ;)

Did you post this list somewhere? We are going in 3 weeks!!! and want to get an idea ahead of time. I searched around but can't find a current list. Thanks!

Current list can be found on page 1 of this thread. It's fabulous. I'm going to cut and past it into a booklet format so I can take it with me in September. I'm pretty familiar with my options but am traveling with a First Timer and I'm sure she will find it tremendously helpful.

I read the first page then the whole forum trying to get more details on CSR. We're going mid-May and this is 2nd time on DDP. We were at POR and used snacks for danish or bagels for breakfast. I would like more info on CSR's snack menu.
I just joined this board for this trip our first to CSR.:)

This is such a wonderful thread  . We are using the DDP for the first time this year. We usually just wing it and do everything oop. I am going to print this list and carry it with me while we are at the World popcorn:: . Thank you for taking the time, I know it must take alot, to keep up with all the snacks :worship: .
