I am going to make some this weekend so I think that will be our first class. I was supposed to do it last year but the timing wasn't right.

I love them but they are a pain to make with a pritt stick I find you need scissors to cut them up as the layers make it a pain with the Cm cutter (but it might be OK with the MM one - I've not tried it yet!). For the base I use any cardstock which I have too much of, or hate the colour, as its all going to be covered up anyway.

I made them in a card making class. We put 5 on and the 6th spot was a sticker or stamp. It was so I could teach how to use the xyron 2 1/2 I think. They looked really cute, and you can use up bits that you never thought you could ever use. And if you are like me, you might need to stick a few mini Mickeys on your's for your Disney pages

I'm in danger of slipping....I really want those Daisy D tape runners that look like sewing and I've found a UK company that provides them! Help! Someone tell me they are really bad to work with please! (And nobody tell me to use a sewing machine because mine is really naughty and keeps running away across the middle of whatever I try to sew )

I bought these at Archivers in Atlanta... in November (BEFORE the ban )
and I must say that they are awesome, I used them a lot on my Christmas cards

Wow, seems as though I am the only one who liked those runners

I fell off the ban hard last night at ACMoore, mine had every single Disney die for the Cuttlebug. I bought two, but I used a 40% off coupon on the $20 one.

I have already used them on a page, so at least I am getting use out of them

I can't wait to hear about how to do these squares!

I used one of my free days today- I had one set for January to use some of my Christmas money and I did use some of it and not all of it amazingly enough. I bought tons of things but I kept myself under the limit I had set and I thought about what I was buying- AC Moore had all the Disney dies and I only bought the pooh ones- to use for the character swap. Also the cricut cartridges I bought were ones I had thought about and had some specific plans for so I wasn't worried about them either.

Let's see, today I bought paper. I was out of dark cardstock in every color. I also bought adhesive, and a punch, but I had ordered the punch from Lisa back in December. And I bought a Hawaii title for the pic of me and DH when we arrived on the Island and had our picture taken with Macaws. There was a lot of really cool stuff, but after taking a tone with me and not using most of it, I decided to only get the paper. In fact I even put to packs of paper back and got the MM's 50 sheet packs for $15 a piece, sure do wish I had remembered a coupon.

Mom bought me the New Arrival cart and a zig pen to replace the one she used today, so I think I am still on the wagon. Just scooting very close to the edge.

Okay, I fell off today, but its on my list! needed mats and blades and couldn't resist the doodlecharms for my card making, it was on sale! After the week I had, I needed a little pick me up

Man! Weekends are hard!!! I went to a crop today and bought some stuff. I purchased one piece of gold paper that I needed for a page since I don't exactly keep gold paper handy at all times. Also, one of the blades on my CM cutting system broke and my CM cutting mat is warped and looking pretty bad. It wasn't much more to buy the whole new set of blades AND mat than just the blades so I did. These two items weren't so bad as I really did need them.

Unfortunately, I also bought a second Sidekick (drink holder/trash bag) so that I can keep one in my bag and one at home. It was an unnecessary expense and I shouldn't have purchased it but it's too late now. I was just so tired of having to take everything apart every time I go to a crop and I have to have my Sidekick when I crop or I knock stuff over.

I'm feeling pretty rotten about my purchase. DH says it was a good idea sn shouldn't count because it is a tool. I don't know.

Oh well. I guess I'm back on.

I narrowly resisted a sidekick when I put in my last Cm order - as my scrapping space is filling up I'm running out of room to put anything down, and though I keep a bin handy DH is always moaning about little bits on the floor (mostly out of my cropadile ). We're going to the cinema today, but DH and DS(14) are going to one film and I'm taking DS(8) to another, so we will have an extra 40 minutes waiting aroun. DS scraps too, and there are 2 shops with scrapping stuff in the Mall. If I take him to BK I'll be FORCED to eat something I don't need (not that I'm being very good as I've just cooked pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast ). But maybe I'll be able to get my Xyron X aand save the postage, so i'll be able to make my serendipity squares without getting horribly sticky

The Sidekick is necessary for me as I've actually spilled a drink on a page before and ruined photos that I couldn't reproduce. I think of it as insurance.

Honestly, I think the Xyron X is an investment more than a frivolous purchase. It is a time saver and less expensive than using your CM tape runner or glue pen for everything. I hope you find one and control the rest of your spending!

Mmmm, pancakes. Maybe I'll make DH take me for those when I get up. I'm going to bed now!

I looked today for the Xyron X and they're out of stock everywhere online - except over there But they'll be back in soon I'm sure

I had a tiny stumblette - having successfully resisted scrapping supplies in two stores I took DS(8) into the Early Learning Centre (a toy shop FYI) and on the sale rack with the Christmas craft stuff was a set of 2 punches and 2 embossing stamps - Christmas tree and leaping reindeer punches and snowflake and candle embossers. Marked down from £5 to £2 ($10 to $4). And the punches have a little collector door thing so they don't fly all over the place! (The fuss DH makes about tiny Mickey heads, you know thats good!) As I haven't done my Christmas pages yet I'm going to use them straight away this week - so does that mean they don't count as naughty?

I had a tumble today, (and it's all LoganandTaylorsMom and BAMB fault!) but did use a 50% coupon. Yesterday at the crop we opened up Jenn's cricut markers and started playing. I HAD to get them! Jenn and I did a swap so I got two to play with but today I bought a whole package so I have lots of colors. I find out why again I should not bring DH to ACM. When the woman rang up my order, he questioned how much markers cost. Umm, dear, these are Magic Markers.

I am also teetering on an Expression now after seeing two in action yesterday. ACM has them this week for $319. I called BAMB to help me stay on the wagon, do you know what she said. "That's a good price!!" No help there at all! Off to the naughty mat with her. I keep thinking about it, and I want to jump right off, it comes with 4 cartridges and more markers! I want it, I want it, I want it!!!!

I think I'll go back later in the week, hopefully someone else will have bought it and I'll get a raincheck so I can buy it later on.

One lss was having card stock on sale. I went there and got some also 5 pieces of paper that were New York and Hawaii specific. These are on my to do list and ok. BUT, then today I went to a CTMH open house because I wanted the new catalog, but of course I would have felt bad not buying anything so I bought a cute (on my list of things not to buy-paper just because it's cute!) paper pack and some metal embelishments. Bad, Bad me! I did have Christmas money left, but it really is gone now, so someone, please attach me to the wagon!
