So this is where you've all been hiding. May I put my hand on my heart and say I will be joining the BAN on Friday evening? Me and my mum always go to 2 craft fairs each year, I have no scrap shops near me so it's my only opportunity to stroke! This year I can't go to the Sept one (I have to go to Disneyland Paris - darn!) Once I've stocked up on goodies I'm on the BAN

I am joining. I started to reorganize my stuff and am shocked by how much there is! I should not have to buy hardly anything!

Here are my goals:

• Only buy adhesives and the papers that I need to do ds's scout and school/sports books and pages for dgs and dgd's album. Shouldn't need much.
  
• Get pictures developed--have about $100 in cvs gift cards that should cover this.
  
• I may need a new paper trimmer or replacement blades.
  
• Cut way back on swapping until I have used up the majority of my items or passed them on to others who can use them when I can't.
  
• Work hard on my books, I am sooooo far behind.

My ability to stay on the BAN wagon has become, much easier. My LSS has closed down. I went to get some extenders for my Disney World 2007 scrapbook (which I finished last week ) and there was a hand written sign saying "Out of Business."

Today was a challenge because I had to go to the mall and there is an ACM there. I decided to reduce the temptation by parking at the other end of the mall, and just going to the 2 stores I had to go to (Sports Authority and the Disney Store). I realized today that, in hopping on the ban wagon and staying there for 4 weeks, the only thing I've bought for myself beyond the basics of food, is a $.99 pack of gum!

I did have to buy new running shoes, but those are a need as I have lower back issues and running is how I've kept 50+ pounds off since 2004 (thank you, Weight Watchers!). I "splurged" on a POTC T shirt today for our August trip. It was 50% off plus an additional 50% off, so it cost me around $2.40.

I did well today, I had to go to ACM to get paper for the character swap. I just bought that stuff. I did buy the Pooh cuddlebug embossing folder but that will be used for the swap as well.
I did see some cute brads at Target but I put them back, like I need anymore brads. Unless it's Brad Pitt of course!

Kim1964 - Some bargain! Good for you for your frugality. I wish I had been that good. So far, I've only bought organizing stuff and adhesive except for the special Prima deal (although I removed $$ from my budget for one of my freebie days). You are setting a wonderful example for all of us!

My big, giant LSS with the section containing every color of Bazzill possible is having their monthly tote sale tomorrow. Basically, you get 20% off anything you can fit in their huge tote bag. I need cardstock for my general supply AND for two swaps. I'm trying to decide if I should get DH to drive me up. I'm planning to be good and only get cardstock but I don't know if I'll feel up to shopping with my leg hurting the way it is. Ah, decisions, decisions.

retail therapy is good for you! ;-) I ordered some stuff but its for my SS so it doesn't count, PLus a white pen to use withmy new template - but that's a necessary, right? Oh, and one TINY pack of special brads because I was getting them for my SS and they wre really cute and half price and i know I will use them.

I decided to go for the cardstock sale. DH is OK with driving me and I promised I would stay away from the ribbon aisle and the Disney section so he was much more amenable to it.

Mazda - You can stay off the mat if you stop practicing the one for my SS, one for me mentality. Of course, I can say that because I NEVER scrap with my SS's fave color so I am safe.

All of you off the mat now. You all overflowed it!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that does this! I have a few Cricut cartridges I picked up when they were on-sale.
