Please forgive me if I miss something - also - I have spoken to a few of you since I've been away - so, don't be offended if I don't reply to EVERYTHING!!! And I have to say - I was a bit surprised that I only have like 10 pages to catch up on - you guys were OBVIOUSLY LOST w/out me!

School today. The kids have 1/2 day due to Parent conferences. Sarah's is today and DH and I are dreading it. Her substitute will now be her teacher until at least the end of May. He has now taken to public humiliation. Mark is fuming and I expect the conference to be ugly. It doesn't help that we are both teachers. It is a sad day when your child is so afraid to go to school because she is afraid to get crumbs on the floor.

I am sorry to hear about the teacher - I would go right over his head - he is a sub - not a perm teacher - so, he can be easily replaced.. I will have to read on and see what happened...

Happy Late Easter

It has not been good here. DD started getting sick Saturday and we ended up taking her to the hospital yesterday as she was having difficulty breathing. I hate the hospital here they are so useless. We get there and they are like she just has a sore throat and that's it. What part of she can't breath don't you understand!!!. I hate this small town. I was ready to pack her in the car and drive two hours through the mountains to the next town and take her there.
So after two nights of no sleep and just lying there listening to her breath she seem be getting better. Her breathing is still noisy but not as bad and the fever has finally gone down. I did have people coming over yesterday for easter dinner but canceled all that due to DD being really sick. Okay I'm done venting now thanks for listening.
Only five more months until paradise.

Well it is 11:16 and i am not at the sheraton. Austin threw up all over his room a little while after dessert. Happy Easter to me...i got to clean it. I think someone had a little to much sugar today. So we decided to stay home so he could just got to bed. He has been asleep ever since poor kid. My friends decided to head back to pa tonight since we weren't going to stay over... We will see them next month anyway for their daughters b day.
I hope everyone had a nice easter. Ours was nice until the incident... I thought my mom was going to lose it herself..lol. Well chat with you guys in tthe morning.

Mandy, Jeff was shopping for a motorcycle a few weeks ago..lol..men don't ever grow up. I talked him out of it temporarily. I reminded him when he had his last one when we were dating and he almost killed himself.. I am sure he will sneak off again without me sometime in the future.

Carm went through the phase where he THOUGHT he wanted a motorcycle, luckily that faded fast!! LOL They don't thrill me at all - my dad always had one (still does) - good ole' grandpa on his harley! LOL

Laurie...Hope you are having a great time in Myrtle Beach and the trip down went well! RELAX..you deserve it!

I'm exhausted but had a fun holiday. The house with so many people was controlled chaos but at least it was controlled. My MIL did most of the cooking..I assisted and did all the cleaning and set up. By the time the last folks left I was ready to drop. My nieces spent the night so we had a fun day today with them and Tom is off this afternoon on a business trip to AZ for a few days. I just want some peace and quiet! Luckily the kids were so tired from all the excitement they were both asleep by 9pm I'm off to bed myself but I will chat with everyone tomorrow. Good night!

Ok - so, relax I did that - and I realized that I like the hustle and bustle of a WDW vacation better - but, we had fun w/my Dad! lol AND.. we did catch a bit of the mets game yesterday at the mini-golf place! LOL

Veronica - so, how are you holding up? Is Tom back?? Sounds like you had a good holiday - it's a shame though, all the prep and it is over so quickly, ya know??

Sarah's conference went well until the end. Academically she is doing really well. Mark and I saw very quickly how "old school" this guy is.. He is in his 50's and just got his teaching degree. Basically it is his way or the high way.. I knew it was bad when the vein in Mark's neck started pulsating.. By the end I was on the verge of tears and looked at them and said, "I can;t do this anymore. I'm sorry" and stood up and left. I couldn't listen to someone who has no teaching experience and is unable to bend pick on every little thing my kid does. The thing is, Mark and I are both teachers and my dad was a teacher for 33 years finishing up in 1st grade. I think we know a thing or 2 of about 1st grade.
Off to Boston tomorrow...

So, what are you going to do about this guy? Report him I hope?!?!?

I am way too lazy to catch up on the posts this morning - I'm sorry. We didn't get in until late last night, poor Ian was sooooo tired. He had a great time, audition went well, I think (I can't go in with him). He had fun and that's what counts. We went to the Bronx Zoo and had a blast watching all the animals.

Hi to everyone else. We are going to the mall today to spend some Easter gift certificates and then it's back to school/work tomorrow. John is on vacation for the rest of the week and is doing some remodeling in the kitchen

Suzanne - hey there! Remodeling, huh?? We are supposede to redo our kitchen too, but the pool/deck last year has postponed the kitchen venture... Maybe next year!! I figure the kids will get more use out of the pool then I will out of the kitchen! LOL I am trying to get Michele's husband down here to do it for me for cheap! LOL

LOL..Quick that was the longest 2 1/2 hours of my life.. I think i would have prefered being in labor for 2 1/2 hours rather than trying to convince them what needs be done with the computer... Then after i am done my dad wants me to stay for a late breakfast....don't think so . All i wanted to do was get the hell out of there and come home to do my stuff.

I'm too tired to catch up on everything tonight but I wanted to say hi. Emily was up until 4am or so last night so I didn't get much sleep. Nothing serious just a cold with lots of congestion and a low grade fever but it is making her miserable. She was attached at the hip today. I think it was because I jinxed myself here last night and said I was looking forward to peace and quiet Tom is very lucky to be away on business right now. Hope everyone had a great day and I will check in tomorrow.

Yes it did mandy. It is very cute but i was surprised by how small it was. I have bever seen one before and i thought from the pics on ebay they looked bigger.

OMG - I forgot to reply to this one - When we were in SC - I went to the COACH outlet store - and I got a gift for my cousin's wife - she is wonderful, and he is one of my favorite cousins in the world (he is also the police officer that checked my license for me - and he is also going to go w/me to court next month - not sure if I shared that yet) - ANYWAY - her shower is going to be in June - and we (my mom, me and my sisters (UGH)) - chipped in and got her the Coach diaper bag - it was 40% off - I couldn't resist - so, we are each putting in money - and I TOO can't resist babies r us shopping, so I will get some diaperbag related items also to wrap up w/the bag!! I can't wait for her to open it!!!

Diet ............................. I seriously need to get going again -

I was very bad for easter..I ate ice cream cake and buttered rolls that day. I gained back 2 lbs but then yesturday i lost 3 so woohoo.It has been 24 days and i have now lost 14 and 1/2 pounds so far. Still have a long way to go.What about you how is your diet and exercising going?

WTG Evil Twin! You are doing much better than me!!! I've been on WW since January, and I am only down 18 pounds - but, I haven't really been trying for a while!!

Michele, you must be so pleased with your progress. It just shows that you can go mad for a couple of days, but once you get back on track, then you can get back to losing again - that's great, keep up the good work

My weight loss is very slow. I don't have a huge amount to lose. Last week I reached my 'happy everyday weight'. I need to lose another 2lbs to reach my 'last holiday weight' or 5lbs to reach my 'I haven't been this for years weight'. I haven't been this focussed for years to lose weight, so I think with everyones encouragement, I might actually get there

I think I'm just worrying about the free Dining Plan, the last thing I want is to pig out in the Parks, then feel bloated on the Wonder. Thankfully we're having a lot of breakfasts, so I can walk it off during the day

Are you keeping an eye on the Restaurant Boards ? They seem to think that free dining will be offered around 10th April to the public - so Good Luck with that

WTG Mandy - you are doing great - but, that free dining is going to kill you!! LOL Just kidding!! I have to say - and I've said this before - going on vacation is a license to EAT! LOL Enjoy and who cares - that is why we are all dieting now - so we can stuff our faces on the cruise/trips, etc.

We have stitch at 7:30a.m. on the 24th but that is only if free dining is during that time frame if it comes out later than we will do stitch on the 29th at 7:30. That is why she though i was nuts

OMG - keep stitch on the 29th - that is when I am going!!!! I think we are 8am!

No jeff hates dressing up as do i..lol.. so we are going for brunch where it is a little more casual..we are lazy. Jeff warned me last night that i can't dump him on this cruise like the last one... I told him we are going to party in the suite so he will be right there..lol.. he is a little concerned that i chat with you guys so much about the cruise he will be left behind in the dust... Last time i left him with austin a lot because he didn't want to go to the club and jeff didn't want to force him so. I wanted to have fun not be glued to my ds..lol

I am a terrible wife and mother...

Evil - WOO HOO!!! LOL Carm will dress up if he has to - I would like to do Palo's - and we enjoyed it the last time, so, we'll see - I just want to see what night we repeat - and if we could figure out the show schedules - I could care less about the Golden Mickeys - but, I'd like to see the others!

Well from what I have read before, us more outgoing girls, seem to have quieter hubby's, so they can all chill quietly together and watch us all get silly

I love dressing up, and I really look forward to making an effort for dinner

As for the kids, well my two tend to do their own thing (as long as they stay together). As there are quite a lot of teenage girls on this Cruise, I hope they'll chill together at Aloft sometimes

As for dressing up - I do capris and a top - that is the extent of it - Carm will wear khakis and a polo, sometimes a tropical kinda shirt, and the boys usually wear cargo type shorts and some kind of shirt w/a collar. I try to get them tropical types - although, as they are getting older, they are trying to resist that! LOL But, polos are ok.

Not sure about pirate night - usually we'll wear something pirate-ish - but, we don't go all out.

I think the teens will get along fine.Hopefully austin will get along with lauries boys and sandys ian.

Laurie suggested the same thing about the men...lol..we are such evil wives.

I think Austin will be fine w/the boys - we just need to try to get them together over the summer or something - too bad Austin wasn't into the VMK games online - or if he had AIM - Dominic is a computer geek - he also likes the Wii games - we have an Xbox - but the only thing they play on that is Rock Band...

Hi ladies, I loved the pink in becky's hair it looked cute. Nicole wants to put some blue in hers this summer.

I just got back from furniture shopping with jeff. We are redoing the bedroom and need new carpeting, paint, dressers. The only thing new in that room is my mattress i bought last year..lol. Jeff was being very difficult about the dressers. I wanted a dark mahogany but he wanted more of a cherry finish. Then he wanted a sleigh bed headboard and i wanted a four poster with a canopy. It really wasn't very girlie but he wouldn't go for it. carpwting didn't happen either he has decided he wants to put in heated hard wood floors like we have in the living room. I want carpeting..You can see where this ended up..The only thing we agreed on was the paint..

Hi guys- just back from the Dr. He does have a sinus infection. Nothing that will keep him down; he'll be better in no time. Thanks for asking.

We are planning on doing brunch and dinner. My MIL and her sister have never been on a Disney Cruise so I want to fit them both in. We're going to try for night 2. I really want them to experience brunch, then we'll all roll down to the beach.

Michele- our whole house needs a remodel but I'd rather cruise.

Morning Girls

It's weigh-in day today, and I'm pleased that I have lost 1 lb this week. I need to be realistic now, and I hope that I can try and maintain my weight, but hope to lose 1 or 2lbs a month till our Cruise

I was quite excited when Mandy emailed me that she was going on AIM - it made my ride home go a bit faster! LOL Welcome to that AIM club Mandy!!!

As far as bedrooms go, I am trying to build a bedroom and bathroom in our basement for Niki, but it is slow going! My house is really small, we live in a very expensive area surrounded by McMansions. I would love to move somewhere else as I can work from anywhere, but the kids don't want to leave their friends and gym so we are stuck! Maybe I will sign up for Clean Sweep! I could be the poster child for both that and What not to wear! I could probably get on Biggest Loser, too. Makes a gal feel really special!
Oh well, I'm a decent web designer, and a pretty good Mom on most days!
We did Palo for our 20th anniversary, it was awsome, but I sort of felt like the Clampitts visit Beverly Hills! I would go back again, but I would rather go jet skiing then to Brunch which I guess is kind of weird coming from someone my size !

Diane - LOL that is so funny - I watch the Biggest Loser and often wonder about going on that show - I'd NEVER survive! LOL Although, compared to some of the people on that show - I am skinny!!!

Ian is on both Singulair and Zyrtec along with getting allergy shots. We have never had any issues at all.

Ok - this is the allergy thing in my house..
Dominic is on zyrtec - Anthony is on singulair and nasonex spray.. when the allergies start getting really bad - Anthony goes w/zyrtec, singulair and the spray, and Dominic will go w/zyrtec and the singulair - but, Anthony's allergies seem worse than Dominics... but, so far, so good with either or both of the meds!

I got a couple of 'small' things in SC - and judging by the size of the FE - that's about all we'll fit in it! The stitching is so nice - but the pockets are small - but, that's ok - now I know how big it is, I'll be able to figure out exactly what I can fit in it!

What are everyone's weekend plans? We have baseball tomorrow at 12 - I have some laundry to do, and catching up around the house, Carm is working Sat and Sun, and his bday is Monday - and he is off - so, he is thrilled because it is opening day (not the home opener) for baseball and the Mets are on at 4 and he'll be here to watch it!

I think I have one more page to read/reply - then I am off to bed - I'll give you my trip happenings tomorrow - you guys will need time to catch up on all of my posts! LOL
