I actuall tpulled out the suitcases today and started to pack the extra beachtowels and sunblock..lol ..so sad.

I haven't packed anything, just tried clothes on though if I needed to, I could be packed in an hour

Right now we are staying at the Dolphin (I can get gov't rate there) I have made 2 ADR's. 1 at Crystal Palace Aug 20, the other Liberty Tree Tavern for Aug 22. I can't remember the times though.

My friend stayed at the Dolphin at Christmas, and she loved it

At the moment I am wrestling Emily for the mouse and she is banging on the keyboard. She is almost all better but still cranky (the fact that the pacifier is being taken away is not helping). She has not left my hip in the last few days. Last night we got my niece and her husband to babysit & went out to dinner with some of Tom's family to a fancy restaurant. It was wonderful! I really needed the break. Tom got home early yesterday morning from Arizona so hopefully the kids will hang out with him a bit too this weekend.

No big plans for the weekend here. Have to take Bryan to something at Tae Kwon Do in a little while then out to dinner with the family (with kids ) No plans tomorrow Ok...Emily is grabbing my hands from the keyboard screaming "mine" so I better go...Chat later

Good morning everyone. (well it's morning here for us west coasters)

Not much planned for this weekend (besides work that is) DD has swimming lessons today then a friends b-day tomorrow, their going bowling.

I have a problem there is this big shiny thing in the sky and I'm not sure what it is. It's scaring me!! After four months of rain and more rain it's hard to tell.

Anyway hope you all have a great weekend and I'm counting down the days and changing my plans. I just changed the hotel again!! Now instead of a split stay half universal and half Disney, and then 1/2 downtown Disney & 1/2 onsite, I decided to just stay onsite Disney. I did my own taxes and the refund is bigger then I thought it would be so that will pay for the cruise and the hotel.

How's everyone else's plans coming along. I even signed up for Tour Guide Mike. Anyone else use him?

Sandra - sounds like you are having a busy weekend!! The life of a mother - dragging kids ALL over! LOL WOO HOO - the sun was out here too yesterday, OUT but still COLD!!

Congrats on the new travel plans!! Sounds great!!! We were excited when they announced that extra $$ the Pres Bush was giving, we get $1800 for that - and that will pay off the balance of our cruise - like found money!! Our regular taxes - well, we did pretty well, but Carm controls the $$ - LOL I would've spent the whole thing by now - but, he puts some away to save, some on the side for the years vacations, and whatever is left - house repairs or whatever.. I'd like to get my hands on just a few bucks of that money for ME! LOL

SO - what is this Tour Guide Mike thing? I must know - I never heard of it/him - sounds interesting...

I have Tour Guide Mike too. I wanted it for the crowd patterns. My daughter's friend has never been to WDW and I want to be sure they get to do everything they want. We only have 3 days before the cruise to squeeze it all in.

Okay I don't feel so bad now. I pulled out the suitcases the other day and tried to convince DH that we need a new one as the zipper had a blow out the last trip. (me trying to cram too much crap in it on the way home) I even went through our summer clothes and sorted them out for the trip.

Well, I didn't pack anything - but, my suitcases are still out from SC! LOL I won't pack for a LONG time - I need to lose BIG time before I even shop! Packing is going to be crazy for me (and the rest of you guys too) - being we are all doing trips after trips - we do 5 days at Vero - so, that should be low key packing, then one night at the hotel near the port where we will leave the car, then, the crusie - then the one night at Disney - so, I need a strategy! I'll wind up having 10 suitcases! LOL I need to pack smart this time! I totally overpacked even going to Dad's.. UGH

I do have to say - the only thing I have for the cruise - IS - I did pick up sunscreen at the dollar tree the other day - it is that No-Ad brand, and it is Pirates spray - 30SPF - so, for a buck, I picked it up for the kids.. I also have my FE stuff organized (what I have picked up already) and I picked up one of those shoe organizer things to hang in the closet w/the little stuff that usually scatters around the room... I need to find one spot to put all of these things though - I have a bag w/the FE stuff, the other thing is in the closet, and right now the sunscreen is still soemwhere in the SC mess - I wish I had a room to prep for packing - LOL Maybe I'll get a tote or something for all of these odds and ends.. what does everyone else to do prep??

Today, I am going to get rid of the rest of the SC packing, put away the Easter stuff, I may head over to AC Moore - they are having a sale later today, and I have some things in mind that I want to get there for the FE - but, if I don't get there, I won't be too upset! They'll have another sale before the cruise! Carm is working, so it's me and the boys.. we need to get ready for back to school tomorrow.. Ant has a big test on Tuesday, so, he will need to study for that.. But, I really don't want to leave my house (other than the AC Moore) - so, it'll be a lazy day (sort of LOL) And we have to wrap Carm's bday gifts.. I picked him up a few shirts for summer, being he is losing weight (almost 40 pounds now) he needs some stuff - although he hates clothes for gifts (he is as bad as the kids!) - and I got him a couple of Mets things, and he wants to get a tattoo, so I'll give him the $$ for that - I'll allow another one - he has one already, but it is on his arm (an Italian Flag), and he will get the other on the other arm - he wants a Mets logo - I can deal w/tattoos in those spots, but that's it! I wouldn't allow anything crazy! LOL I am such a control freak!!!!!

TREADMILL ----------- WOO HOOO I love mine - when I use it that is!! Congrats on the purchase - I guess Paul got the motorbike and you got the treadmill?!?!? I hate the HUGE delivery windows that they give though like you have ALL day to wait for them! Maybe a 3 hour window, ya know?

So now you are 5 hours ahead - I'll have to remember that! I really think the time changed killed me this year - that ONE hour that they took away, really made a difference!!

21 weeks Now, let's see - if I can lose 2 pounds a week..................... I wish - I'd be happy with one pound a week! LOL Tomorrow I am back on track! In the mean time - today - I am going to eat eat eat! LOL I wonder if I have any jelly beans!

Morning everyone, I just wanted to pop in and say hi before i get ready to head out to the casino.Laurie i will have austin look into that vmk thing tomorrow when i am home. Mandy have fun cleaning the garage. jeff is so thrilled he has the kids today.. he is taking them over to his friends later to watch a ufc match The girls will be thrilled. The original plan was for him to come over here again like last night but he was doing some work in his basement and slipped with a razor knife. He sliced open 2 tendons and nearly cut his main artery..ouch..The doctor told him if he had been a quarter of an inch closer he would have bled out in 8 minutes.. .So anyway he doesn't want to leave his bed on the pain meds so my tribe is going to invade his house for the day..I am sure his wife will be as thrilled as my girls are..Well have a great day.

Is anyone's children on Singulair (for asthma/allergies)? Keegan's been on it since he was 4 and I've seen a couple of news segments in the last 2 days about it causing depression and suicidal thoughts in some kids. He's always done fine with it, but it really makes me question if we shouldn't have him switch medication.

Sarah was on zyrtec for years. When she started school her allergies went bananas and her Ped put her on singular too.. It was a bad thing for her! She tried to stab a classmate with a pencil! This is so not Sarah! She wants to hug everyone! Her Ped took her off everything and told us that in some children it causes aggression! Jeesh! She started shots about 15 months ago and it has been awesome! No more ear infections or anything!

Hi guys!

We got back from Boston Friday evening. Yesterday I was too tired to do much except play with Sarah who missed us big time! Here is how Boston went:

Let me start off by saying if God forbid you ever need to go to a big children's hospital this is an amazing place! It is HUGE! Every person we met went out of their way to help us out.

Here is what we know so far. Don't get too excited as there is no definitive answer. We didn't expect there to be though...


Dr. Kothare (neurology - seizures) feels that Em should absolutely NOT be on seizure meds. He told us he is very anxious to consult with Dr. Berry (metabolism/genetics/endocrinology) and Dr. Darras (neuromuscular). That appointment was really short and went well. We both really liked him. Em is scheduled for an outpatient 48 hour EEG in June when we go back.

Dr. Berry is a GODSEND! I was braced for a very clinical, no bedside manner Doctor and that could not have been farther from the truth. He is the kindest, man! Em really, really liked him. It was a good thing to since he spent over 2 1/2 hours with us! He went over everything - all of the pieces- the hypotonia, the eyes, the jaw, etc.. He thinks we are looking at a genetic metabolic disorder. He has things narrowed down to several types of energy transport type conditions. such as long chain fatty acid oxidation disorders, B 12 / methylmelonic disorders, glycoprotein disorders, sterolpathway disorders and CTP. She had 10 viles of blood taken, another urine organic acid test and the blood test for chromosomal micro array. (this will take 6 weeks to come back) The last test has been sent to Denver as it is the best lab in the country for looking at these types of things.

If we find a metabolic condtion ( there is only a 40% chance we will) it would be caused by a recessive gene defect meaning Mark and I would both have the funky gene and that Sarah would be a carrier. I really feel like this is our best shot at figuring this out. Dr. Berry told us everyone of us has 8 - 15 genes that aren't quite right. The place in the gene that is defective can make all of the difference in whether a condition is relatively mild or devastating.

Dr. Berry was amazing at keeping things at our level and was always asking us if we understood or had any questions. I just loved him!

As far as Em's jaw goes.. Dr. Berry was able to witness the entire progression of being fine, having the motrin start to wear out, the melt down and the recovery with more motrin. He told us it was obvious that the jaw pulling was due to her trying to get rid of the pain. He wanted to set us up with a consult with the Oral Surgeon, Dr. Padwa at Children's.

This is how amazing this has been. By the time we got to the airport, Leah Hecht, his nurse, has already spoken to Dr. Padwa who wants to do a conuslt when we return. I spoke with her at the airport to give her the details of the next trip - appt with Dr. Darras, 48 hour EEG... By the time we landed in Lake Clear the consult was set up. How is it things can work that smoothly at a huge hospital and we have been chasing our tails for months in Burlington? I so wish we could have gotten there sooner. At least we are there now and things are happening and people are trying to figure this puzzle out!

So that's where we stand. Waiting for test results and looking forward to our next round of appointments- (pre blood test results)

Our suitcases are under our bed, so it's easy to just add stuff in there as I buy it. I wish I had a spare room where I could have my suitcases ready for packing

Jen, we've been thinking of you all week, wondering when you were getting back. It sounds like the appointment went really well and Emma's doctor really sounds like he knows what he's doing. I went to AC Moore yesterday..they had lots of sales plus I had a 50% coupon. The dinner yesterday was fine..not a big fan of German food (my MIL had a GC to the restaurant..she was born in Germany) but Tom took Emily for a walk during dessert so I could enjoy that! Tom just started traveling twice a month for a client. I don't like it but I keep thinking of the frequent flyer miles he's earning as another trip to FL so that makes it much easier.

Needless to say - I didn't make it to AC Moore - I'll get there during the week.. I want to get a few of those electric sensor candles for the front windows - I need to replace some dead ones... I have the coupon too! Actually I got two flyers in the paper - WOO HOO!! I'll save a whole $3!!

Boy you girls are awfully quiet today. Hopefully everyone is relaxing. I am taking it super easy today.

It was a semi-lazy day here - spent most of the day chatting w/Mandy! But, I got a lot done in between - quite proud of myself - back to work tomorrow though - vacation is OVER!

I hope you have all had a great day (even if it's been a lazy one ), I'm going to watch the Disney Wonder pass on twopalms and then I'll be off to bed

Here are a few pics that we took at the Hard Rock Park - the big coaster you see is the Led Zep ride - so cool - the guitar is in the center of the park - kinda like Cinderella's castle - LOL And those characters - well, I am not sure what they are - but, they were cute!
