Hi everyone~
Jen it sounds like your trip has been extremely rewarding for Em (and you too!!) I can't wait to hear all about it
I am getting ready to turn in for the night as I have been up since 4:30 am. I had to take my sister to the hospital this morning at 5:30 for surgery and she didn't come out of recovery and into a room until 3pm. Needless to say it has been a very long day. Long story short she swallowed something as a child that never passed through her stomach and now at 37 years old it was finally bothering her to the point of only weighing 95 lbs. today at check in
They were going to try to remove it either through and endoscopy or laporoscopy, but in the end they had to make a six inch incision up from her navel. Poor thing thought she was going to be out in less than 24 hours but she will be there for a few days at least. My nieces are with their dad (divorced) so I felt so bad leaving her
She was pretty out of it though when I left and I will go back up in the morning so I probably won't be around again
The surgeon brought the thing they removed out in a specimen jar for us and it looks like an oval shaped link of some sort
We are thinking it may have been a barrette or something so tell all your young ones NOT to put anything in their mouths
