It is so scary, I'm not sure how to teach her, just because you can do something doesn't mean that you can teach it. Do you have Drivers Ed in School? We did when I was learning to drive but they don't know, maybe that is why there are such bad drivers on the road! I'm sure she will get the hang of it soon enough! So far we haven't left the parking lot!

Hi Diane, no, the schools don't have anything to do with driving. Kerry has an hour lesson each week from a driving instructor, then Paul takes her out at the weekend, and she's coming along really well. Thankfully we've moved on from the scary driving, though it doesn't help that I'm a nervous passenger at the best of times

We won't be taking any cases of water onboard

I'm playing hooky from work today. I woke up with the worst allergy attack. I figured if I had to teach today, some child might die. So really taking the day is in the best interest of my career. Besides, no one will miss me for just one day of summer school. I did take something, so I feel better, not great but better, and I'm off to tackle all of those errands I have been putting off! So the wedding will be on Deck 7 at 10AM on August 25th...so i'm happy johns a little upset cause they aren't compensating us for our aggrivation but what could you do at least we are having it on the day we want to!!! Hopefully everything will go smoothly for the next 4 weeks!!!

I was thrilled to see that there was no "Formal" night on our cruise! YAY! I don't have to FOOF up! Alana was a bit disappointed but if she had to choose between Pirate and Formal.. she'd choose Pirate anyway.

We're just going to wear casual dresses for "dress up" night. On the other hand, we had a BLAST last night putting together Pirate outfits. Alana's is extremely cool... period Lady black and white dressy get up. I'll probably look like the Ma'dam of a pirate sympathizer ***** house or something.. lol

Had Dad call Disney (he's my TA) and they're are printing our tags and such today. For a chance on upgrading your Disney hotel rooms.. call the front desk of your respective hotel. Can't hurt.

Also got our main door magnet and Alana's Favorites magnet done yesterday. I'm still working on mine.. it's hard to do a goth design incorporating our Disney animated friends. ha ha

Last but not least, we printed out a tooned up count down calendar for the rest of the time til we leave. I LOVE THE HOUR COUNTDOWN!! YAY YOU!!

Next up, print out the Ultimate Cruise Packing List by Calgon and start getting it together. This weekend is probably the last weekend we'll be able to shop for anything we need (we're hill billies j/k). OMGosh! INCLUDING school stuff!! Alana goes back to school the day after we get back! YIKES.

Glad to hear the wedding plans worked out... surprised they didn't compensate you somehow for the misunderstanding... Disney has always done more than enough to compensate me for any kind of hardship. It's one of the main reason I so love to travel with them. I always know they'll take good care of me. k:

We are back home. Unfortunately Keegan's team lost in 2 extra innings. They played their hearts out, but just couldn't come out on top. To get to the state championships 3 years in a row is a huge accomplishment in itself. I'm actually relieved we won't be needing to go to Albany for the national tournament! It would have run a good $2,000 a person plus the time off of work, etc. was going to be very difficult to do. Not to mention my parents are treating Keegan to an expensive Cal Ripken baseball camp that week and he'd have missed 2 of the games because there's no way I'd have him lose out on a camp he's been looking forward to forever. He has 2 more tournaments but I'm so ready for it to be over. The boys start football next week so it's going to be tough being 2 places at once.

We've got a busy couple of days with Orioles tickets tomorrow night, Keegan's CT on Thursday morning, practice/pokemon league Thursday night, a birthday party and Buffet party, going to NJ to see my sister and the beach over the weekend. Monday Keegan starts their next tournament, plus football.

We got a DCL package in the mail today. I was hoping it was our cruise documents, but it was our "Welcome Back" paper and DCL excursion guide for our December cruise.

3 and 4 night cruises just have a "dressy night." The 7 days and special cruises have semi-formal and formal nights.

On our 3 and 4 day cruises, we've seen a mix of different attire on dressy night from suits, tuxes and polo shirts on guys to capris, dresses and gowns on women. I think the family that was in the tuxes and gowns were getting formal family potraits done because they really were really over dressed compared to everyone else. On our 1st 4 day cruise in 2005, the boys had button down shirts, ties and jackets. On our 3 day cruise in 12/2006, I had them just wear polo shirts/khakis and they fit in just fine and I didn't spend a ton of $ on a jacket they'd wear only once or twice. On our 7 day trips, I buy them suits and tuxedos off of ebay and get them pretty inexpensive. I think I paid $50 for two tuxes with S/H, which is about the cost of a dress jacket I paid for Keegan on our 1st cruise.

We aren't getting too dressy---the boys/dh will probably wear polo/tropical shirts and khaki's each night and pirate shirts on pirate night. I'll probably do a mix of capris or light weight non fancy dresses. I tend to overpack and am trying hard not to over do it this time. We are not doing Palo this time for dinner so no tie/jacket for DH.

Watch out for those Hooter girls. My nephew is twelve and he ended up in a chat room with one. Well they exchanged pictures and telephone numbers. She phoned him at home and my brother asked her if she had any idea how old he was and she did and didn't think there was anything wrong with calling a twelve year old boy. Lets just say that was the end of his computer privileges.

That's crazy!! We don't allow Keegan to belong to any chat rooms at all because of situations like that. We even make him ask us before he goes on any new sites on his computer and he knows if we catch him on one he hasn't asked us about, his computer's gone. We have monitors on his tv too and he can only see stuff rated for young kids like the Disney channel, some shows on the Cartoon Network, etc. He gets stuck watching the Weather channel a lot but at least we know he's not seeing anything he shouldn't. If he wants it unlocked to see something specific, we have to enter a code that he doesn't know.

No I didn't get into the garden yesterday, it was lovely and warm, but it was too cloudy Fingers crossed for today, as the girls and their friend are taking the train to Birmingham for some shopping and going to see Wall E, so I have got the day to myself - woohoo !!
