Debi, Betty, Mellisa and Mary Ellen - Do you guys have an idea of how much you are spending per person/family and if you are doing more that one day. Since we have a small group, I have gotten about 3 small things for each kid, not much for the adults yet. I don't want to go overboard but I don't want to be stingy either. I haven't sorted it all out yet, but I think I spent about $10 per kid, is that too much???. Since I have 3 kids I wanted to make sure everyone got several things. Do any of you have feedback?

I am doing basically the same, a few gifts for the kids and one for the adults or a family gift. I may throw in a little surprise every day, just a lollipop, or pencil or such.

Hi All

We are back from Texas.
Thanks for all the well wishes for my Mom. She is still in the hospital, until they can stabilize her breathing, then she will return to the nursing home.
But she appears to be doing better.

On a Sad note We had a message on our answering machine from DH's Sister stating that her son(DH's nephew)Michael (23 years old) had been in a car accident Saturday morning, and was in critical, but stable condition with a traumatic brain injury, due to a blow to the head. They removed a 5' diameter from his skull to reduce pressure on his brain, and he is in a drug induced coma. If the brain swelling remains down for 24-48 hours they will remove the drugs and see if he can regain consciousness or respond to stimuli. It seems it will be a long slow process, before any prognosis is available. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers.

They live in South Carolina, and we plan on visiting on the way down, and back as we are driving to Florida. We pray he will be out of the hospital and on the mend by then.

Sorry this post is such a downer.

Hey guys,

Looks like I have a boat load of messages to catch up on. Things have been really busy here the last few days. We had Derek's dad visiting, Derek's birthday, then Derek's (ex)step dad, his step aunt and grandmother visiting yesterday. Today both of the boys had their physicals for school, football and baseball camp. Keegan had to get 3 shots and Brennan got 1. We also got Keegan's referal for his next CT at Hopkins for 7/24. He had quite a bit of paperwork that 3 different doctors/referal specialist filled out and they all gave him a different diagnosis on the paperwork---chest mass, infected thoracic cyst and anterior mediastinal mass in right lung. Five months later and they still don't have a definite diagnosis for the mass. I just hope the entire thing is gone now and we can put this all behind us. I'm glad they are going to do the CT before football starts because I was worried about the heavy contact.

I had a ton of work to catch up on too. Only one more spreadsheet and I'm done for the day. Brennan has his Pokemon league and Keegan has practice tonight. Keegan also has practice tomorrow and the start of a new tournament on Saturday here in New Oxford. I think they have 8 or 10 teams and play 2 games a day.

Diane, They did decide to stick with Birdsboro for the state championship tournament. We got a team rate at a Sheraton Inn in some place that starts with a W. Wyomising or something like that. We get more information tonight. We will definitely be there the 18th and 19th and possibly until the 23rd if they keep winning.

I hope everyone's having a great afternoon. It's really nice outside for once this week!

Dismiss, I just saw the message about your nephew and pray he makes a full, quick recovery.

Jen, I haven't gotten a chance to see the video yet, but good luck with the physical therapy. Derek's stepbrother's son has the same diagnosis of weak muscles along with neutropenia and has made a lot of strides. He has been doing OT, PT and has had a feeding specialist for the last few years. He's now 4 and although he's very tiny for his age, he's catching up physically and is above average intellectually.

Evening Ladies, Back from the exciting meeting....The highlights were that we now have to wear bananna yellow shirts with black aprons..omg..we are bumblebees...

But now we get a big 5 percent discount on purchases..woohoo..this after he told us we are the highest ranking store and bringing in $300,000 a day. But all they can give us is 5 percent rediculous..anyway. i am off to bed and hope to catch up with some of u on aim tomorrow. Night all.

Another quiet day for me today. I'll drop Becky off at 'work' and then as it's Friday - then it means grocery shopping day - woohoo !!!

No other plans as yet, maybe a visit to the wine bar tonight, I'm not sure though as Becky is helping out at a Youth Club tonight

I had my weigh-in this morning - I put on a pound - I'm not impressed or surprised, I really need to get back on track - roll on Monday

Have you missed me??

I have been running crazy w/the party this weekend, and my sis is coming in today, so I have been trying to get a lot of stuff done before her arrival... So, I've been neglectful and I am SO sorry!

I have a doc appt at 8:30, my cousin is having her baby at that time as well (csection), picking my sis up from the airport - she is scheduled to land at 9:15, then I have to run to a few stores for some odds and ends, we are getting our nails done at noon, then lunch, then party prep! Sounds like FUN right?

One more day till the twins are together!

I promise to read along and TRY to catch up soon, probably not till next week w/all of the excitement here this weekend!!

Alright - let me get rolling, I want to get to the doc early so I am in and out!

Sorry I wasn't around much yesterday.I was bummed I missed sail away.. Mark's parents are taking Sarah and my 2 nieces camping from today until tuesday.. We had lots to get done! She is almost ready to go!She is getting picked up at 11:15..

Em has speech at 10 and PT at 12..YIKES! My morning is pretty crazy but after that I should have some time to chat!

Anybody have any big plans for the weekend?

My SIL and I have to flip that camp tomorrow morning and Sunday my mom and are going to the Lake George outlets to shop for Sarah's birthday... It isn;t for a few weeks but we need to get it done!

I just realized we will on be home 12 full days in August!

Between coming home from Boston on the 1st, to Toronto on the 10th coming back on the 18th and then flying out on the 22nd for Fl it will be a very busy month!
